    I have the Zhiyun Weebil S, Canon M50 with the Laowa 9mm f2.8 lens. And this has been my favorite set up for shooting real estate. However, I can not get the Weebil S to stop panning right and left when I turn corners into a room. I have slowed each panning speed down to 0, did your settings as well in this video, and nothing stops it from panning, ruining the shot! So I turned off the gimbal and just do the usual ninja walk, and the results are still very good. But it would be nice to have this gimbal working properly as it should. Can you do a video on how to correct this?

    • @JeepTJWheelin
      @JeepTJWheelin 11 месяцев назад +2

      The Laowa 9mm f2.8 lens is the best lens available for the aps-c. With the crop factor it's 13.5mm full frame equivalent. Plenty wide enough for shooting real estate. This lens is why I and most with this set up will never have to buy a full frame camera and lens, totally unnecessary. I will eventually get a better Canon body, one that performs better in low light with the bigger sensor though.

    • @MyFriendlyPup
      @MyFriendlyPup Год назад

      Sony needs to suck it up and pay Panasonic for in body stabilization patents. The 10% crop reminds me of FCP7 in 2004 with warp stabilizer. Not good. Should be no crop in 2023.

      I shoot 50p which is perfect for a 25p timeline

    • @orangerecords_studio
      @orangerecords_studio Год назад

      that depands. the faster FPS, the lower quality you get, like I said, on movies, you "need" 24 , to g make som distance, with the speed of shutter, meaning you dont ! want realistic. ANd you will be forced to open lense more, at 50 .

      @HuyRebel  Год назад

      @@orangerecords_studio You wouldnt see the difference between 24 and 25p, but we shoot PAL in europe anyways which is 25 and 50p. @@HuyRebel well, I live in NOrway, Europa. I shoot in NTSC, so that I get 23.975 . I shoot a movie int that. you want to go for 24 , not 25, even small differance. • @orangerecords_studio

      @@HuyRebel you can imagine, if you shoot a quite still sceen, just som trees hardly moving, no movments, It will not look better, if you shoot in 1000 fps, rather that 24. more "pics" doesn ot make it "bbetter" The slower the shutter, the more light you let in, and you capture more Dynamic range, thats what I am talking about ;) . :) have a nice day .

    "you want to make the room and the house appear larger than it is." This is not only dishonest, but also incorrect, and I can explain why with a very good reason. You have to remember Huy that your video will be accompanied by many photos of the house for sale. The majority of these photos will be very wide angle photos and showing the house very wide to get every detail, and to make the home seem larger. Your video is not supposed to show what the photos show, but in a video. The whole point of a video is to build some emotion for the buyer and get them very interested in the house. You accomplish this with good music and beautiful shots. And the way to make the shots have the most emotion and beauty is not to have them be stretched out really wide. No, they must be more immersive and make the buyer feel like they can imagine themselves in the home. This is never ever accomplished with a 12mm lens. It is too wide, it doesn't look natural to the human eye/brain, and it certainly does not make the buyer feel immersed in the home.
    You say the lens has no distortion but it absolutely does have distortion. It make the room look bigger than it is, you admit that. So that is accomplished by distorting the image. The lines are vertical at the edges but the image is still squeezed to the left and right to make it wider than it actually is.
    You are right that a 24mm is not wide enough a lot of the time. That is definitely true, but 12mm is way too wide and only serves to mimic the photos of the house.

    • @HuyRebel
      @HuyRebel  Год назад +2

      Thanks for your input. I did say you want the room appear larger than it is, but that is mostly on smaller homes where you need a superwide lens for the rooms to not feel cramped. I did mention in the comment somewhere below that the 16mm is more than wide enough for this home.
      When i say no distortion, im talking about optical distortion, not perspective distortion which you'll naturally get. The image will be squeezed to the left and right anyways on a lens that wide, but atleast the verticals are pretty much straight since this lens is "zero-d".
      Great thing about this lens is that you can always crop in if its too wide wthout loosing quality since im shooting 4k.
      I agree that video is less about information, but rather the emotion you try to evoke
