  • So many Christians are concerned about the “mark of the beast.” We’re afraid of getting tricked into receiving it, then suffering God’s wrath because of it. We’re busy looking at vaccines and microchips, and complex calculations of "666." But what if the “mark of the beast” is less sensational than we’ve made it? What if it’s just obvious? And what if some of us are so concerned with the sensational that we’re missing the obvious? In this teaching, we'll look at Revelation 13 from a different angle, and explain how to make sure we’re safe with God in these end times.

    Revelation 13
11Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon. 12It exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. 13And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people. 14Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, (here it is) to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.18This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.”

Brother i believe you may be, willingly or not, leading people down the wrong path. you say in the video @ 14:22 that its is JUST a warning for worshiping false gods. I would not say that so freely as the Bible through out warns of such things so why at the end would this be the only thing this means. Revelation clearly states that we cannot buy or sell without the mark. We do not figuratively eat to survive or sell to make money, We do this in actuality to live. You then mention @ 14:37 how the the sign on the hand and forehead are bindings AS signs on the parts of your body but i think what you are missing here is that these areas are specifically mentioned as binding areas because they are reserved and special for the Lord. Remember , when Cain was cast out of Eden, God put a mark specifically on his forehead so that he would not be killed once cast out. I know you believe what you are teaching here is true but i would think carefully before teaching this as doctrine. God Bless you and yours and anyone that comes here but before just accepting things as Bible truth, read for yourselves and ask God for understanding.

Thanks, it's a grace to be graciously challenged, and corrected if need be. I would echo your encouragement that people read scripture for themselves. I think too many people fail to do exactly that, and they get their eschatology from popular fiction and sloppy speculations about what someone told them once but they never checked against scripture. That really is the pastoral concern that gave birth to this message. In fact, that's why I didn't try to name the beast or explain the number (although I have my opinions about it), but instead focused on seeing it through the lens of the gospel.
With that context, when I said "worship false gods" I meant that as not worshiping Jesus. (And I mean "worship" as Romans 12:1-2.) The "that's it" statement at 14:22 could be said various ways. My intent is to make sure people know that Revelation 13 doesn't change the gospel message: If you're a follower of Jesus, you're safe with God, and no physical mark can change that. If you're not a follower of Jesus, you're not safe with God, with or without a physical mark. Perhaps you would disagree with some aspect of that statement too, but that is my understanding of the gospel.
Two questions for clarity if you don't mind: Where does scripture say that Cain's mark was on his forehead, or that the right hand and forehead are reserved and special for the Lord? Is it explicit or inferred?
Again, thanks for taking the time to comment, and for taking care with your words to be gracious in the challenge.

@@simplerfaith Thank you for your quick response. First i must apologize for my ill remembrance of the story of Cain. I would never want to intentionally change or add anything to scripture and it seems i have erred greatly in my comment. For some strange reason i remembered the mark placed on Cain as being on the head, and i cannot for the life of me remember why it is so ingrained in my memory as such but on trying to find this, i could not and so i must deeply apologize to you and all who read my comment. May the Lord forgive my ignorance.
As to your question regarding the right hand and forehead being reserved for the Lord. I say this in reference to , and use the examples you yourself use in your video, as in every instance, the people are instructed to use as bindings and signs as marks on the forehead or right hand so i take it to be inferred if not actually written as there would be no other reason to instruct people to use these particular areas on the body if they had no special meaning or had no particular importance, as well as being the specifically targeted areas for the beast's mark.
I understand your meaning regarding that no mark can change your salvation if you are right with the Lord Jesus but i would say, in my understanding, if that was in reference to someone say getting a tattoo or multiple tattoos or piercings and then being saved after the fact. I say after the fact because if you are already a Christian and our body's are God's temple, we should not mark our bodies with any kind of art especially when that art pertains to animals, monsters, tribal markings for which we know nothing of their meanings. Not trying to be judgemental by any means, just noting my understanding of how our bodies should be viewed as God's temple once saved. i know its old testament , but it is still in the Bible as instruction and does say in Leviticus 19:28 " Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD."
The Bible does make specific mention in Revelation 14:9 " A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, 10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath." This passage very clearly states that anyone who takes the mark will suffer God's wrath. i can see no mistake in this.
Again, i appreciate your quick response and also , by God's grace, you helping me to see my error in my comment. In this i have been corrected and again deeply apologize. My concern here is the Mark and the importance of how the Bible states clearly that anyone taking it will seem to be punished for doing so. I understand people can get different understanding in reading the same things but this passage i noted from Revelation 14:9 states clearly the wrath suffered if one takes the mark on their forehead or right hand and is why i originally commented in stating that the teachings in this video may not be correct.
Thank you again for your time and response. God Bless you and stay well.

Thanks again. I believe that any punishment God gives will be consistent with the gospel message. Those who put their faith in Jesus will receive eternal life. Those who reject Jesus will receive eternal death. And like I say, it may be a literal mark as well, but the mark we all have a choice about right now is whether we are living for Jesus or the things of this world. And may God protect us from all deceptions. As Jesus said in Matthew 24:24, "For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." (I taught through that passage last week: ruclips.net/video/cKHH_tRHYO8/видео.html) May we always be on our guard for the marks of action and belief that we bear now, and any other physical marks we're ever asked to accept.

This makes more sense... Its about a willful relationship not a physical mark (tattoo, chip, blood vaccine, barcode, jewelry, all these are perishable). We all know outward appearances that supposedly certify allegiance (marks) can be faked. (many people wear wedding rings but betray their commitment or oath, just having a mark does always not mean true allegiance). It's about what you do, not what you wear. How many Christians wear a cross and you see them curse (unfortunately raises hand, Lord forgive me) or have Jesus bumper stickers but drive past you faster than the speed limit (raises hand again)? The hand serves, the head directs the service. The question now is the death from taking a mark (meaning belief /attitude, or committed consciousness) a spiritual death or physical death. Is it like the converse of Born again. C.S. Lewis argued that God always wants to be with us (proof thru Christs sacrifice, and his commitment to Abraham) It is not always we who want to be with Him-- and so that is the mark! Our free will to choose Him or say: Nah, I think I'd rather not... It seems like you only get the chance here in this life to decide if you're for or against God. But He's always for you! And allows you to choose. Use your head; choose wisely!

    • @simplerfaith
      @simplerfaith  3 года назад

Thanks for the thoughtful response. As you say, it's about relationship, and what we do in allegiance to that relationship, not what we wear as announcement of it!

And Romans 13.9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 10Love does no harm to a neighbor. @simplerfaith  3 года назад

I'm a bit reluctant to answer this for fear that it might distract from the point I was trying to make about the gospel. But I set myself up. :) And the scripture says it takes wisdom to calculate it, which implies that it is good to try to calculate it.
I'm certainly open to other people's calculations, but I believe the meaning is right there in the text where it says, "It's the number of mankind." Like, that's what 666 stands for: Humanity, in a general sense, and along with it Humanism (an outlook or system of thought attaching prime importance to human rather than divine or supernatural matters). And I suspect it will be an apostate version of the church (looks like the lamb but speaks like the dragon). I also think this could be personified in one individual who represents all that.
Either way, to connect it to what I said in the video, I believe the mark of false worship is seen even now in our tendency to worship ourselves or each other or the images we create that elevate ourselves or others above God. And the remedy is our worship of (submission to) Jesus Christ as "the image of the invisible God" (Colossians 1:15) and the "exact representation of his being" (Hebrews 1:3)!

Or 666 18÷3=6 3×6 =18 , the bottom line This is Satan's resume for the last six thousand years so if you look at Revelation 12 and three assign the serpent or dragon has seven heads ten horns so this is not a man's number because Satan is in there Revelation 13:1 Beast with seven heads and ten horns It's All made by man, if you look at the crowns meaning power or sovereignty in Revelation 12 and three it's on the seven heads, but it revelation 13 verse 1 there's a shifting now the sovereignty or crowns are on the 10 horns read Revelation 17 verse 12 for 1 hour to 10 horse have the power. One cannot separate the spiritual and the physical. Faith without works is dead. They will take the Mark because that's what they have faith in. Its a test and it's perfectly designed by God to separate his elect from the rest. Many will say to me on that Day "Lord, Lord...."
"But when I shall return, will I find faith on the earth?"

The beast refers to one or more of the emperors (Caesars) of Rome (perhaps Nero, Dometian, or Decius), who claimed to be gods and demanded that all worship them. Everyone was required to obtain a certificate, verifying that they worshiped Caesar and the gods of the Roman pantheon. Without the certificate people were unable to work, buy food, and were subject to arrest and execution. Genesis says God created man on the sixth day, and six was a reference and symbol for man. The Hebrews repeated words or numbers for emphasis, meaning the person (Caesar) was no god, but was very, very, very human.
