- Make your own Beryl Jumpsuit - a pattern released by me! Join me in this video to make a patchwork version which gives some tips and advice along the way!🌸
How exciting is this?! This jumpsuit is what launched my upcycling business back in 2020 during the first Covid lockdown and I can't believe it is now becoming a pattern!
The Beryl jumpsuit is an oversized, comfortable fit garment featuring a v-neckline, slightly ballooned legs, pockets and a button front fastening. The jumpsuit also has box sleeves and a low crotch. The shape and style of jumpsuit suits all! It can be worn as is, or tied with a belt!
If you would like to try out the pattern for yourself, you can find it on my website - afrayedupcycling.co.uk (afrayedupcycling.co.uk/collec...)

you are refreshing and i find encouragement from your video's. keep up the good work.
So good to see a young person sew and iron as you go.
And that you have got proper industrial machines.
I'm 73 and had a business with sewing and once you have the right machines and methods it really helps.
I love how brave you are with your fabric and patchwork.
There are too many people "sewing " on tv and internet and I cringe and if I see another bag being hammered together, I just can't look.
In the late 1960s I was taught sewing properly and you will always have an income.
And my business was before internet.
Think you are amazing and keep up the good work.
Aww thank you so much! Totally agree, my machines are so efficient! Thank you for your kind words!💜
Lol im still using mine from the early 70s. Plain and zigzag stitch.😂❤❤❤❤your videos. Just subscribe today!!@@afrayed_upcycling
Thank you for the video especially to show how you patch work for a neat finish… thank you! Love this jumpsuit… I make hair accessories out of fabric waste. Eventually I want to be able to design and sew dresses too. Love your videos!
Thank you so much!!☺️✨💜
You've explained it so well and the pockets and stitch in the ditch instructions can help if anyone who is making your Joy tea towel dress pattern struggles with these parts too. Really good job, beautiful jumpsuit so thank you 🙂🌸🦋 and great gadgets too Xx
Thank you so much!!🥹 will have to do a little sew along for the Joy dress when the weather gets warmer!💜
Brilliant video! Thank you Scarlett, I can't wait to make one for myself.
Wow, thank you for sharing your creative brilliance :) I have been wanting to find a way of using scrap fabric/upcycling fabric. Very inspiring!
So fun and creative! I love to make patchwork clothes and especially from upcycled textiles! I’m into making unlined jackets at the moment and I sew down the seam allowances with a wide three step zigzag wich makes a decorative detail on the outside of the garment.
Ooo I love the sound of that! I might try that on a patchwork bag if that’s okay!✨
This video is very helpful! Do you have any advice on replacing a piece if the garment is already assembled? I have one piece with a hole and wondered if it was possible to replace the piece as opposed to patching the hole?
I have done that before with my old junpsuit! You can actually cut the piece out and insert a piece the same size, it just means having to sew it which can be awkward on the machine 😅 I would recommend finishing the edges of the piece you want to insert first, and then sew the replacement into the patchwork 💜
You should be able to tighten your overlocker stitch do they don’t separate.❤
Allô ! Encore superbe modèle . Merci Je me demande si tu aurai par hasard une vidéo où tu travail de vieilles cravate de Monsieur . Sinon pourquoi pas, c’est ma suggestion . Tu travail très bien et je vois de ta passion. Merci
Hello! That’s definitely an idea for a future project!
Dammit Scarlett now I’m gonna have to make one 😍😍😍😍😍
Ohhh please do!!
Très inspirant. Merci!!!
No worries!💜
❤❤❤❤❤
Totally love the jumpsuit! Does it go up to a size 18 or 20? I’m seriously considering making it with my naturally dyed/printed fabrics, maybe with a zip instead of buttons …
It goes up to a size UK 34 ☺️✨🌸
@@afrayed_upcycling - thank you 😊😊
Where can I buy the pattern? I have French seemed a lot of fabrics together for a garment but can not find the pattern I think is right for this and I found your channel 🎉
