The road seems good, very less potholes, but is not flat/uneven making the car wobble right-left. In the turns one side should be lower than the other for the mountain water to flow towards the lower side, but even in straight lines its not flat, resulting one can't increase the speed above 60kmph resulting heavy wobbling/uncomfortable. European/American cars in this type of roads need more steering effort coz of their more body weight we can feel the heftiness in steering end points. Coz we can feel the chassis weight throwing in the steering end turns. A short wheelbase hatch will out perform long wheelbase sedans in this type of roads, coz it can be effortlessly turned/ thrown around corners. But lacks in straight-line stability. If the road was little bit wider, sedans will perform better, I mean in corners. City 4th gen can outperform 5th with its better stiff chassis, huh trade-off for ride quality. but the biggest VFM in 4th gen is its reliability coz its PFI not GDI. Non can blame Honda for this coz today brands are forced to do GDI due to Govt emission norms. I always wonder why most people buy SUV's (other than over landers or off roaders). Where ever we live, we humans build roads to our homes, and we can easily bring a low-slung car hatch/sedan there. We don't even need a rear wheel drive car in tarmac .But the most funny thing is when compared to old gen sedan cars (City type2, lancer, accent etc ), todays sedans feels like SUV's coz of more GC. But since we got electronic assistance like ABS,EBD,ESP,TC we can assure better safety than the old gen's. and enjoy that GC/ride comfort.
Thanks a lot for such a nice explanation sir. We need people like you who know the physics. I hope we can build a community where people can help each other with logical explanations ❤️
Great comment but we need SUV especially Rear wheel drive if not 4x4. You might not have travelled to roads full of snow or a very steep climb front wheel drive fails there. Also the smaller hatchbacks like lord Alto climbs only in reverse. All types of vehicles serve different purposes. And let me ask you a question why we buy sedan? XUV 700 is more stable than most of the sedans and quicker too does that mean people should stop buying sedan? No right Because a 700 can go a little bit offroad which a sedan can't And sedan go fast in corners but SUV can't
I guess your the best person to ask this deciding question. If I go for Honda City for a family of five an hill enthusiast lot aswell will I be able to do all the hills of uttrakhand Himachal including spiti circuit and ladhak? I do lots of kms use in city and hills I had a duster for 7 years did 2.5 lakh plus km now considering Hinda city(ground clearance a question for hills) , Nexon2024(long term reliability a question), creta(value for money a quest with performance feel) as I really enjoyed driving City but as I can afford only 1 long term use car as of now so it's a crucial decision. Please suggest as I m a car and driving enthusiast. So I wanna have function and feel both !
Honda City has a lot of limitations when we talk about hilly terrains in particular. 5 people+Luggage= very low available ground clearance. Spiti circuit and Ladakh is like impossible in this vehicle. As you have driven Duster for so long, I'll suggest you to look for KIA Seltos Facelift or Honda Elevate as the ease of driving is very important for long term usage. But please don't go with city as it's not for the hills.

Yes, both manual as well as automatic transmission. Virtus and Slavia both are very well engineered products for Indian market. No one can beat Germans when we talk about performance and handling. But when we talk about a complete product, Honda City is one up.
@@darkshadow4909 30 kph isnt very high speed by any means even in a 1.5 honda but that road is definitely dangerous- its barely wide for 1 small car let alone two, barely any guardrails and a ton of blind corners, oh and in the wet too, its all relative haha if you closed down the road completely you could definitely carry more speed
