Surface Book Pro Keyboard Not Working ALL NEW FIX 2018

- Sick and tired of trying all the other methods for getting your Surface Book Pro 4 keyboard to start working?
I was too...from the disabling of "fast start up" to to the two button reset to rubbing my stomach and patting my head at the same time...I was sick of trying those things only to end up right where I started!
WITH A NON-WORKING SURFACE BOOK PRO 4 KEYBOARD & MOUSE! :(
Try this solution, I think you will be pleasantly surprised and alway remember the theory of Occams Razor - "the simplest solution tends to be the right one"

No Luck.. Any other solution?
I've had 3 keyboards that all stopped working. (Surface Pro original) this didn't fix it, but I'll figure it out. Might solder the dots.
worked for me, all I had around was some tincup whisky though lol
back to basics (check your leads)!!

The pins did look shiny and clean on my Surface, but a simple wipe with alcohol worked.
Yup, mine too....electronic connections can be funny like that....glad it worked! I only figured this out after wasting about 2 hours doing all the driver updates and other crap...ugh.

But what if I don't have rubbing alcohol? Can I use tissue only? Or is there any other way in settings or that does not require cleaning?
I've used nail polish (acetone) before...but use at your own risk. I'd recommend going to a drug store and picking up the alcohol for a couple of shekels.
The problem is already solved, I bought a new keyboard.
EDIT: I bought a new USB PORT for both mouse and keyboard.
