The humans of halo actually aren't more ancient than us, they're more like us but if we left the planet ages ago but then we got sent back here and had our technological level put back to the starting point. Ancient humanity in Halo also consisted of numerous species, in the same way that the Unggoy and Kig-yar are composed of at least 3 different species each, humanity was once Neanderthals, Sapiens, Floriensis, and allied with another hominoid species, the Gigantopithecus.
Gigantopithecus was not a humanoid species 😂 They were essentially giant orangutans and they were hunted by ancient humans not allied 😂 The only ones we “allied” with were Neanderthals which is why some people have Neanderthal DNA because we crossbred with them
@josephstalin2606 That's real life, in Halo canon, they were allied with ancient humanity, no ifs ands or buts about it, it's in the books. They're still a different kind of ape from humanity, but they're 100% an allied species to the various humans in Halo.
There’s one race part of the covenant fringe not mentioned here and I didn’t know about them but they are in the Halo Encyclopedia. They are called the Dazreme an aquatic species native to the world of Reme that had forerunner cities sunken below the planet. This is why the covenant went there and how they found them. According to the Halo Encyclopedia the Dazreme repurposed the forerunner tech creating a vast civilization in the depths. They are described by having layers of placoid scales in a wide range of colors, strong, resourceful, and highly intelligent. The picture given they look similar to elites in a way. Unfortunately the covenant were unable to know their history or medical science however they broker an alliance with the Dazreme, leveraging their unique knowledge of forerunner tech to ends not fully understood. Their height range is 5ft 6in-7ft (168-213cm) and their weight range is 192.4-457lbs (87.3-211.8kg) So technically 19 species
@@Andrewryx what would imply that we're not allies anymore everything in the current lore states that we still work with the arbiters swords. Oni might have caused some transgressions towards them but they're also a shadow organization with their own agenda.
Yes but the flood came from the remains or a dust that was corrupted. They are technically the same but more of a faction of the precursors in a way of looking at it.

The blue alien jackals are my least favorite because they always hit me and kill me in one shot
Awesome video mindq space thanks for bringing this information about halo alien species
Great overview! I was wondering if you could make some video chapters, because RUclips's algorithm is butchering it.
I think that the Kig-Yar stands at an inch taller, on average, than what you said, in the video. 🤔
😮😮😲🤯 WOW 🤯🤯 that changes everything! 😮
@@Blazemark25 Very funny....
Honestly I thought the gasgira was the drones when I saw them in infinite
Did you say the endless have 4 legs 🤔
You forgot the jackal-like alien seen in halo reach, having way more feathers and are more aggressive
Skirmishers are a jackal sub species
skirmishers are same race as jackals
They are also female @@Brentonius_III
Skirmishers are a sub species of the jackals same as the ones in 4-5
Oh that's the name thanks for letting me know they are the same species
Great video family keep it up 💯
Ay yo the opening looks like it wants to invade Poland.
Honestly I thought there would be more species

Never liked the forerunner lore retcons. It was way better when the forerunners were actually ancient humans during the bungie era.
i know, i wonder if the creator taken influence from Macross lore instead
