Personally after reading Halo: Outcasts, where we saw ruins of a civilization that was rapidly advanced by Precursors hiding from the Forerunners, and that back in the Forerunners age, the *CRITERIUM* came to Netherop to investigate is very interesting considering we hear of the Criterium in being involved in the Endless imprisonment heavily implies that the Netherop civilization and Xalanyn civilization are similar. How? I think they were both evolutionarily manipulated by Precursors. The Harbinger literally has the Reclaimer Symbol on her helmet and back armor! I believe that the Xalanyn are a new type of Reclaimer manipulated into this role by the Precursors. Even the physical form of the Xalanyn and Gasgira (Skimmers) has similarities to the Primordial itself! As the Primordial was described as having “mandible on their face, and two degenerative legs” so how do 2 separate species end up with the same physical traits? I think the Endless is a faction of several species that have been spliced with Precursor DNA. Like the Flood but much more “pure” This is why the Forerunners were terrified of them. There are so many references and parralels to the Precursors in the context of the Endless there’s literally no ways they aren’t connected. In the Halo 4 Terminals, the Ur-Didact talks about the Forerunners coming war with the Flood after defeating Humanity, and ends the monologue with the phrase “and we are afraid.” In the Halo Infinite Legendary Difficulty Depondent Pyre Logs, in entry seven, she speculates on the nature of the Endless and ends her monologue with “and I am afraid.” Lastly, during the Harbingers Boss Fight, she can say “We are Legion!” A reference to the Primordials words himself from the Forerunner Trilogy: "We are the last of those who gave you breath and form, millions of years ago. We are the last of those your kind defied and ruthlessly destroyed. We are the last Precursors. *And now we are legion."* The Harbinger literally has the exact same ability that the Primordial had to drive Humans mad with its mere words, Elite: How long has the human been this way, Chak? Reading into it a little too deep. It's not a magical power, she just told the dude some really hard to hear truths. She just told Browning how the Forerunners imprisoned her species for nothing other than being the sole survivors of the Halo array firing. The whole point is that the forerunners aren't the benevolent actors people think them as. The similarities to the gravemind in the Original Trilogy are because the Xalanyn fill the same role that the Gravemind originally filled. Someone who bears a grudge against Humanity for the actions of the Forerunners, as the Forerunners' Chosen successor. Here's a problem with the whole Xalanyn and precursor connection theory. The Xalanyn hate humans while The precursors favored humans so much, The Flood of all things took measures to stop Humanity's extinction.

the didact is not the only forerunner alive when the halo rings were fired the forerunners must have also had samples of themselves for reseeding and the forerunners are either already reseeded or awaiting reseeding
This video only makes me more hopeful that the next Halo game will delve more into the Precursors, the Endless, and the other mysteries of Zeta Halo. But considering 343’s track record of switching up the story, Hidden Xperia’s lore videos may have to suffice. Doing the Primordial’s work 😉.
I do wonder. Could the existing precursors possibly have a cure for the flood? And that’s a good things to know as well that there’s some still existing. You got me brainstorming.
I think they'd be tier 1 because I don't remember any lore where they built something that could compete with some of the Forerunners accomplishments. Their Ascension is the only thing I can think of that would be tier 0 but with everything else I'd still rate them as Tier 1 on average.
Fun note about tier 4, I read a great short story years ago about earth in the very near future (the book was written in the 90s I think so tech was about what we have today.. reusable rockets, we were just going back to the moon and just experimenting with electric vehicles and clean energy. The few major differences were that nuclear energy is far more rare, planes were electric and we were regularly sending people to space for space tourism to luxury space stations) and basically humanity meets a space council who sends envoys here.. when the governments insist on private talks, they decline and broadcast the talks to the world on their own. Basically they say “Dude… wtf.” They sent a peaceful probe to earth, with messages in our languages and it was shot down and humanity started moving guns into orbit. They basically said, we’ve proven that we’re too violent and they’ve been watching us for a long time. Most races discover nuclear power and quickly come to peace and advance very quickly and we turned it into weapons which is apparently really rare. They mentioned how slow our development was from the industrial revolution to current day, most races surpass us by decades with their technology far surpassing ours in much less time because they work together, don’t hide behind patents or keep advancements because of greed. Essentially they just spank humanity and say, “get your shit together and maybe you can join us.” and show us some examples of their wonderful technology. They leave a few examples of it freely for curing diseases and helping with food and immediately the governments all fight over it. World war three starts and the short story jumps forward in time to a few decades later where humanity basically blames the aliens for being assholes and finally humanity works together to get into space and kick some alien ass. Violence destroyed us, but violence brought us together. Hahaha That bit about the brutes reminded me of that short story. It’s so similar! The short is a bit preachy but it’s actually really interesting… it brings up great points about how we’re so greedy that we patent everything including art, stories, and ideas… that does cause so much stagnation and I wonder how much faster we would advance if companies and countries shared knowledge. I guarantee that big companies have some sort of technology or innovation that could be world changing but it’s not finished and could be if someone else helped.. maybe a guy in Japan has the exact idea to fix that issue and change the world, but it’s “classified” and just sitting in a warehouse. That makes me sad.
It will never cease to blow my mind how much microsoft dropped the ball with one of the biggest and most important fanchinses. They have a guaranteed audience if they just followed the original lore. The fact we still dont have a good halo movie or show is just tragic but also like, illogical lol they would make so much money
That old school RuneScape music made my nostalgia perk up 😂 I’ve been playing that game since they released old school RuneScape back in 2013! Love the videos bro thanks for the content
They’ve been described by the UNSC as being closest to arthropods on Earth, but you can’t really describe aliens using taxonomies of Earth. So by the strictest definitions, no, they’re not crustaceans, but they are very similar.
Fun fact, in the Ace of Spades trilogy, it is revealed that ancient humans possibly surpassed the Forerunners, Spark provides evidence for this through Humans not only having technology that the Forerunners didn’t possess and didn’t understand, but also the fact that humans were capable of fighting against the forerunners and the flood successfully for 1000 years. They were likely a middle ground, not exactly same level as the precursors, but adapting precursor tech to aid them, putting them at like a Tier 0.5 instead of just Tier 1, as again, they had technology that the forerunners didn’t even comprehend according to Guilty Spark
Am I the only one noticing a resemblance with the collectors from Mass Effect? Is it possible this was an idea that was shared with the team that was originally making Mass Effect? Very peculiar.
It’s funny whenever I hear about the Precursor’s beliefs because, my first semester in the honors college at University of Houston, I ended up basing my “final exam discussion” on the exact concept of, “the universe is all one living being, and we’re just a part of it.” Kinda hard to explain the format but basically we had to read a series of books and come up with a common theme among them then sit down with one of the professors and discuss it with them for 30 minutes. The books we read were from antiquity like certain sections of the Bible (reading it analytically, not religiously), and The Odyssey. No idea how I came to the conclusion, but I guess it had something to do with how connected things were across vast amounts of time and distance. Anyway, love the concept. I like the Precursors as a concept.
An amazing halo game would be about the Final Test, built like helldivers 2 in the liberation sense, liberating (or trying to) the milky way galaxy from the Flood, playing on the theory of the seeded precursors traveling to the other galaxies.

I'm not even 5 minutes in and I'm upvoting purely for the music choice LOL what an absolute hero you are! The memories!!
wave: flash 2: tyvm fellow scaper 🫡
@HiddenXperia ah and here we see the mating call of the world 2 falador East Bank mercher. If we stay very still he may repeat the same waves flashy line over 9000 times 😅
the runescape background music is very nostalgic thank you for that
The harbinger said “they will be found”
Um that's the endless or also known as the xalanyn that's not the precursors
Just felt like there was a similarity
I'm very happy you used Runescape OST in this video for the village times, thank you.
tyvm Jad
the didact is not the only forerunner alive
when the halo rings were fired the forerunners must have also had samples of themselves for reseeding and the forerunners are either already reseeded or awaiting reseeding
I still believe some are still out there, hidden away on some wayward Ring or Shield World.
4 months late but there also exists an extra-galactic population of Forerunners, as per the Bornstellar novels
Thanks HX, miss these types of videos. Used to fall asleep to your lore vids years ago
Could they? Probably. Would they? Well, they didn't see it as something to put a stop to so far.
The Runescape background music was giving me some good flashbacks
I feel like if the Ancients/Alterans were to exist in the Halo Universe, they would probably reached Tier 0 as they have achieved Ascension.
I think they'd be tier 1 because I don't remember any lore where they built something that could compete with some of the Forerunners accomplishments.
Their Ascension is the only thing I can think of that would be tier 0 but with everything else I'd still rate them as Tier 1 on average.
@@frylad the Ancient created the Dakara super weapon to re-seeded life after the plague. It’s possible that the weapon can destroy the Flood.
"Creators of the Flood" like you don’t know they _are_ the Flood.
Hahaha
That bit about the brutes reminded me of that short story.
Any chance of doing a video on hell divers 2 and what halo and 343 can learn from its massive success?
Legend has it 343 tried for a helldivers style game. Microsoft turned it down
Your vids are so fun and interesting... only secently discovwred and subbed but been binging alot 😁👍
Title made me think it'd be another video on just precursors. Pleasantly surprised
I know right he's just talking about the same stuff over and over again
What if chiefs insane luck is just a precursor helping him out
Them tunes at the beginning sure took me back to a time that was so much more simple. Life was good back then with runescape.
come back to it man! Old school is still huge and even just got another area expansion this week, also a new skill this year with sailing.
The way you pronounced omnipotent is actually criminal
Great job Luke, inspiring, and always a refreshing experience about an awesome storyline.
Love the RuneScape music in the background
It will never cease to blow my mind how much microsoft dropped the ball with one of the biggest and most important fanchinses. They have a guaranteed audience if they just followed the original lore. The fact we still dont have a good halo movie or show is just tragic but also like, illogical lol they would make so much money
The subtle RuneScape music is gold
You used a RuneScape theme in this vid, thanks for the nostalgia! It pinged my nostalgia radars big time.
That old school RuneScape music made my nostalgia perk up 😂 I’ve been playing that game since they released old school RuneScape back in 2013! Love the videos bro thanks for the content
I just wanna be Precursor Dust 😔
One day. From ashes to ashes, all the same, but in the meantime try and enjoy yourself responsibly.
was watching this playing RuneScape, and didn't even realize the music was from video and not RS until 3min in.
Love your breakdown videos! Great content!
Always love your lore videos mate! Keep it up!!
Woah i just actually saw this upload
Wait what? Grunts are crustaceans?!?!?
They’ve been described by the UNSC as being closest to arthropods on Earth, but you can’t really describe aliens using taxonomies of Earth. So by the strictest definitions, no, they’re not crustaceans, but they are very similar.
They kinda look like crabs
With their backpack
They also taste like lobster, at least according to a iwhbyd line in Reach.
these are my favorite types of hiddenxperia halo lore videos and I know he has to get paid but I got 6 ads on this video thats crazy
I only got one
The Old School RuneScape music in the background is absolutely killing me 😂😂😂
I absolutely enjoyed this, its like watching Halo lore when I was a kid all over again
I’m strapped in and excited for 2mins of video followed by commercials through this whole video! Get that bread my boi I’ll sit through em for ya
Hitting the algorithm button so I can get suggested more videos like this.
You are an absolute chad for the backround music at 3:15
Fun fact, in the Ace of Spades trilogy, it is revealed that ancient humans possibly surpassed the Forerunners, Spark provides evidence for this through Humans not only having technology that the Forerunners didn’t possess and didn’t understand, but also the fact that humans were capable of fighting against the forerunners and the flood successfully for 1000 years. They were likely a middle ground, not exactly same level as the precursors, but adapting precursor tech to aid them, putting them at like a Tier 0.5 instead of just Tier 1, as again, they had technology that the forerunners didn’t even comprehend according to Guilty Spark
The runescape music in the background is a very nice touch! hahahaha
Am I the only one noticing a resemblance with the collectors from Mass Effect? Is it possible this was an idea that was shared with the team that was originally making Mass Effect? Very peculiar.
Background music tripped me out I was sat doing a slayer task while watching like wait this isn't the right music
On the subject of advanced species, could you do a halo species vs mass effect species?.....I'd watch the crap out of that!!!!!!
The osrs music caught me off guard, that just unlocked memories 😂
Amazing video, dude!
Who did it better with ancient intelligence? Halo or 40k?
The RuneScape sounds at the beginning did it for me
Did not expect to hear the Old School RuneScape tunes on a video about futuristic halo 😂
LETS GET OIT BOY TO 600k, then… TO A MILLION!!!
18:11 *"FLAWLESS VICTORY"*
-best to test your speaker bass-
It’s funny whenever I hear about the Precursor’s beliefs because, my first semester in the honors college at University of Houston, I ended up basing my “final exam discussion” on the exact concept of, “the universe is all one living being, and we’re just a part of it.”
Kinda hard to explain the format but basically we had to read a series of books and come up with a common theme among them then sit down with one of the professors and discuss it with them for 30 minutes.
Playing Undone was an absolutely amazing choice
First time coming across your channel , subscription earned, one step closer to 600 thousand😊
i subbed even though i have watched your channel for like 6 years
Nice, some Halo-related content that isn't just "this show sux but we all keep watching it for some reason".
Humans are technically tier two, they're just having a wicked bad civil war
What would happen if you snort or smoke primordial dust 🤔🤔
Flood lung cancer
Love the Runescape background music
Love your lore videos the best!
Love the OSRS soundtrack in the background
Love the use of runescape music for the most basic tier xD
Halo lore over RuneScape music? Absolutely won a new sub ❤
The OSRS music is much appreciated
I like to listen to lore videos while playing runescape, so I did a double take at your amazing music choice
An amazing halo game would be about the Final Test, built like helldivers 2 in the liberation sense, liberating (or trying to) the milky way galaxy from the Flood, playing on the theory of the seeded precursors traveling to the other galaxies.
Dudes going in with the RuneScape music.
