I personally think any lithium power station which is effective for touring power should have a high amp 12v output, for example 12V 30A socket. This way it could be intergrated into the canopy, camper, caravan or van through a fuse panel.
Here in Norway those are way to expensive so i got the normale one "EcoFlow DELTA 2" very handy and more than enough for my use :) I got a fuel generator too and those two are cheaper together than the EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max here lol. Thx for the video many tips there!!
Cheers Daniel, a couple of things I would like to see. 1 would be how the alternator charger works and plugs in, 2 comparison on the 12v fridge via the 240v lead as those cigarette lighter sockets tend to rattle out on corrugations. If you have a spare station I could definitely use 1 😅 Cheers 🍻
Have you tested that this unit actually has 150Ah of capacity? It would be interesting to know how they managed to pack so much into a smaller & lighter package. It's like having a 30L jerry can that is lighter and smaller than a 20L version using the same materials.
I changed my delta 2 for delta 2 max only for powering laundry machine and with bigger solar charging abilities. It is great to go with more powerfull invertor which can run an laundry machine which has a heating element that requires about 2,27 kw for a short period of time. Delta 2 with xboost enabled can run it but only with not pure sine wave, so only modified wave that can ruin senzitive electronic parts in laundry machine. Delta 2 pro can run it with xboost off so with pure sine wave invertor power. Reality of solar powet from panels is efficiency about 70 percent because of not ideal positioning.Trust me i have delta 2 max I charge it with one gigant 675 wat panel for both ports of xt60 and I saw maximum about 70-72% efficiency which is 472,5 watt or 486 wats. So multiply by 2 almost 1 kw of solar power.
We've seen them run full-size Samsung refrigerators. I just used 4% of power running a 1500-watt electric water kettle. Surely your refrigerator isn't using 15 hundred watt light bulbs at MAXIMUM 24/7.? If so?😬
Great setup for people on the go everyday mate. But i base camp a lot for prospecting for gold and that setup is terrible for me. as i have to camp in one place for more than 1 to 2 months so i need a full proof system in a fuel generator to keep me going in the overcast days as i do not start my car every week to generate power.
@@explorebound i apricate your message mate, i wasn't trying to put you down in any way shape or foam its just the way we are different in what we use our gear for. I really enjoy your ongoing trail adventures keep them coming.
There are some benefits for utilizing something like this in a static situation such as yours. Solar input up to 1000 watts and using a backup petrol generator to charge the Delta. For instance, a 2 kw petrol generator might be running to run something that is not of high consumption and the excess could be used to charge in to the Delta via the 240 volt input. Also an additional supplementary Delta battery can be added into the system. There are cheaper self build systems available but they are not portable or as versatile as the Delta options. There is the Delta auto dual fuel(petrol/lpg) generator which an expensive option as well.
Haha for me it's the weight of this particular unit. Most of the others I've tested are a lot heavier so it's nice to have one that's a fair bit lighter and easier to transport than others with similar specs 🙂

The Delta Pro one does right? But that one weighs twice as much.

Bloody awesome vid, great they can finally charge it from the alternator 😊
Thanks mate! Yeah definitely, I reckon that's always been the missing part in units like these being practical for long-term travellers 👍

Why not add Anderson plus for charging off existing system
Hi can I use any solar panels or do I need to buy the ecoflow solar panels?
You can use any, so long they fall into the current and voltage range of the mppt controller of the unit.

Couldn't run a standard Kitchen refrigerator.....
dont take one with you then 🤣🤣🤣

Be careful, they make more than one type of extra battery & they are not interchangeable.

Hey mate, yeah I definitely see the need for a generator with your setup. I think these are more suited to those travelling every day or so. 🙂

Surly a 200w would charge it quickly being lithium?
Can this be charged using a generator...??
Yes,but buy the ecoflow generater,it runs on gas and propane, and the generater is paired off to the unit, the computers in each will hook up
Do you recon it would run starlink for a while
Hey mate! The Gen 2 Starlink draws between 5 and 5.5A, so this unit would be able to run that for 24-30 hours straight. 🙂
@@explorebound thanks heaps mate 👌🏼
Did you get it for free is that the answer I don't know what do you want us to say😅
