I would say... Continue to make videos on simply showing everyone the reality and events of living off the grid and all the complications or exciting events of that. I too have watched you guys from day 1 basically and you've created an amazing following! We will continue to watch whatever you do based off your personalities, beautiful family dynamic and your amazing video editing skills :) All the best to your Life Uncontained family :)
Beautiful! Thank you.

@@marsharehm5599 Agreed. Well said.
Absolutely agreed!
I for one hope you turn this into a vlog! You can show us cooking videos, gardening videos, maintenance or upkeep videos. Please don’t leave us! We’ve come to know you.
I soul hardly hope you do these things and take us along for the new adventures.
RUclips is how they make a living. I'm pretty sure they're not going to stop!!
Oh, please tell us you’re going to give us a tour of your beautiful FINISHED container home. Been along for the ride nearly since the beginning and reeeeeaaaalllly want to see the culmination of all your hard work in one video. 🙂
Yes please
I've asked this before, no answer as of yet. Hopefully they will.
Yes please let us see the inside. Every time I have watched I am in awe at how far you have come and how beautiful it looks.
Hi there 😄 you've a gorgeous picture on your profile! Just decided to stop by and say hi!! I hope my compliment is appreciated.
I have watched this since the beginning and every episode I get excited to see the house. Still haven’t. I saw this title and was like “holy shit finally” 😒
definitely enjoying this journey, congrats on your beautiful pond!! ❤

Look at adding a spray fountain to your pond to run from your solar only and improve the health of your pond water. Also reduces mosquitoes improves quality for fish to spawn.
Pond looks a 1000% better.
I also agree with a pond circulation/aeration system... they even sell windmill driven circulation systems
Doesn't have to be a fountain, bubblers. Just saw again last night on a old homestead rescue episode. Do run either 24/7. I have a degree in this so 24/7.
Have you ever considered putting a solar powered aeration system in the pond to get rid of the stagnation?
Hey Ithrbrcub, that's a darn good idea!!
I was thinking the same thing as I was watching. I wonder how difficult it would be to install a solar powered fountain in the pond. Or possibly a water feature on the shore that passes pond water over rocks creating a small waterfall.
I was wondering what kind of ways they could improve the stagnate pond issue. Great idea!
I'd use a windmill. Cheaper

A floating dock sounds like a great idea - canoes too.
It might be worth considering putting in a floating reed beds too, as they will clean up the water so reduce the snakes, and maybe make it a nice place for a summer swim too.
I could have continued watching this episode forever, it was so satisfying! Obviously a dock and a small boat first.
Storm cellar next, then a swing swing/set for the kids, definitely need that, then a nice big vegetable garden and fruit orchard. Love the peach trees-you need some more fruit options! Some more flowers, a whole barbecue pit, outdoor seating area. Maybe something with protective nets, like a solarium or indoor porch?
A tree house for the kids.
And finally, a pool maybe? Somewhere to swim in those hot summers without any snakes!
I know the garage/barn needs work too. I can’t wait to see it all!
Time to renovate the barn house to a workshop/garage for Spencer possibly? You built a lovely home. I have enjoyed your content since the journey began and will continue to.
You can make a workshop
Skin cancer NOT from sun ... from SunLotion cancer causing. Research it...CRAZY!
Park that shiny new tractor in it!
Bat cave?
And you can add the water from the barn roof to your water tanks too - you'll have some backup for those murderously hot spells.
I'm amazed at the home you built and finished. Congratulations to you both!
Un saludo desde Culiacán Sinaloa, México. Nunca me pierdo sus videos.
Around the edge of the pond, you can plant Carpet Phlox or Creeping Jenny . In the spring they are very beautiful.
With the size and scope of your property I would suggest foregoing the tractor backhoe attachment and biting the bullet on a mid sized excavator, something in the 3.5 to 5.5 metric ton unit. You will not regret getting one, they are like the swiss army knife of land modifying equipment and building construction. Great work you guys, always an enjoyable vlog!
'We" didn't come to watch a house being built. We came to see a family being born and built. That will never end. Just keep on sharing your days with us. I look forward to seeing your children's first video too!
I second that!! Love the chores you do around the property and your spin on the video editing is wonderfully put together. Never gets old and love seeing you all grow into the property and projects will never die. BTW how's the internet been working since the upgrade to satellite??
I don't.
Unless they build something else interesting ...time to move on and unsubscribe.
Never thought I would hear Mackenzie say your house is done. I've watched you all from the start of your home's beginning and now it's completed. It turned out beautiful! Spencer, I said it before and I'll say it again; you're a beast and I mean that in the most awesomeness way!! Mackenzie your support and endurance through this entire process plus birthing 2 babies along the way shows we women folk can hang with the best and Spencer's one of the best. Now you all can focus on the rest of your property and cleaning up around the pond made it look so neat. It will keep those snakes down a bit. I don't always comment but I just had to say to you both I'm excited to see what new plans you have as you continue the journey to living off grid while raising a family. Kudos to you both!!
Can you answer why they don't use underground water??...I m from india and I don't know the reason.
Checkout “Homestead Rescue: Season 9 Episode 1” They put in solar powered water pumps into their pond to keep it aerated. Might help you out
My Parents had a stagnate pond, we built a floating water pump with a nice fountain and it cleared the pond with in a few days. The first couple days all the algae came up from the bottom and the Sun cleared it right up...
I grew up on 5 acres of waterfront property with a pecan orchard, I was watching the gardener mow when I saw something fall out of one of the trees. I thought it was a limb but it was a huge water moccasin, after that I was always looking up for moccasins as well as down!
What I love and appreciate most about Spencer is that he doesn’t half ass anything and he always completes what he starts! Great job, guys! You’re an awesome team.

Congratulations on the finishing of your home. Can't wait to see the walk thru. Love how the pond looks now. So open and like a park like setting. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing and God Bless.

What you two...FOUR...have accomplished is pretty darned amazing, and it seriously brings up an almost familial pride in what you have done. Thank you.
😊👍
I could remember five different things you were planning on working on when the once the house is finished.Removing & replace the dock. Working on the barn to as a wrokshop,, new roof to add more water collection, fix up batteries room area and building a storm shelter.
I'd be paranoid about tornadoes where they live. My priority would be a storm shelter of some kind, possibly as an expansion of the pump house/battery room but built from either cinder block or ICF.
YES - A storm shelter!!!
So many years in the making! We can't wait any longer to see the house in it's total! We want a tour!! ;)
I started watching you saga just over 3 years ago, while isolating in a tent to protect my elderly parents from infection. What an amazing project.
Spencer, I love your new tractor and it's cabin. When you are cutting downhill with your brush hog, you should always have the bucket on the front of your tractor for balance. I usually scoop up some dirt with the bucket to keep it front heavy. A tractor can flip over backwards in a split second backing down steep grades without proper balance so be careful
Yes, this! We knew someone who flipped their tractor and was fatally crushed (non cab, so at least you have that, but water is a different beast...)
and another who flipped and drowned...
I was sad when I read the caption, like many of us I have been here from the beginning so promises us a never ending story!! 🦋🌻💛
I know what is next.
1) A dock
2 ) 2 shipping containers spaced out about 10 feet apart with a cover overhead ( many examples on you tube ) for storage and a covered canopy over head for a work area. As a union ironworker we had this kind of setup on a multitude of projects for storage and to give us a place to work out of the weather.
Some of these we put a wood wall up on the back side and on the front put up a wood wall with double doors for access. You could make doors big enough to store you new tractor inside and keep it out of the weather. Or keep it as a shop and put up a pole barn to store your tractor in like I do down on my tree farm in south GA.
If you take my advise on the separated shipping containers with cover overhead. Make sure you put doors in the middle of each container on the inside for access and some windows for light. At minimum some vents at top of container to let heat and moisture out. I have had to work in some of those containers without vents or doors and in the GA sun they can reach 120 degrees. Best thing to do is have the canopy cover the tops of the shipping containers also to keep out of direct sunlight.
You guys should get a solar powered pond fountain, that sprays water into the air. Pond would move, and possibly get rid of any snakes.
Put a fountain in the middle of the pond for aeration, build a new dock, stock some little fish, you've got a cool little spot in your yard 🙂
Came here to say something very similar. You nailed it.
I was going to say the exact same thing.
The waterfront looks so open, clearly more user friendly. Can't wait for new projects as you broaden your range of ideas for the property. With you all the way!
Awh, Bear watching as he ripped away his favorite spot 🥺 haha but seriously so excited to see you both transform your land! 🙌🏽💜💪🏼
The edge of the pond looks much better and cleaner. Now that the old dock is destroyed you can build a larger dock for your family and your needs. You could even build a boat and buy a motor. You’re so talented leave this to your imagination. I enjoy whatever you and Kenzie are doing. I just ask that you let us be a part in your life. We love watching you and your family. We love to see dreams come true. Until next time.
Can’t wait for the tour of the house.
I would get 2 solar power pond aerator, and would add some fish to the pond! That would be awesome
Love to see the interior of your beautiful home , love watching x
The willow tree holds a pain killer in its bark , always good to know 💚
Now it's time to plan a garden & prep it for next year's growing season. At least get some herbs & medicinal plants that don't need much water and grow like weeds! So many good things for self sufficient folk. 😉
Them snakes scare the heck out me. Keep being adventurous and vlogging. Your story isn't over.
Absolutely, you guys are far from done. We all look forward to your next adventure...
Congratulations on finishing your home.

Awesome! Personally, I'd put a floating dock back in the pond, they're easily built, and expandable. Love ya'll ❤️
Great idea !!
Yep great idea. Pinterest has a heap of floating Pontoon ideas made from barrels..
I have owned four homes and none of my houses have ever been DONE. 😆 Great job!
Congratulations on finishing the house ☺️ I've watched since from the beginning and would love to see what you get up to day to day, especially if you have any new projects in the wood.
Congratulations to you both on finishing the house and thanks for letting us be part of it❤❤
I'm hoping you convert the storage container into a workshop and place to store all your tools.
Time to turn this into a Vlog as well as Spencer’s confined projects, like clean up the pond area and building a new dock. Building a shop for Spencer. The maintenance and upkeep of the beautiful home you guys have built. Documenting the growing up of your children….
😊👍
I had sand brought in to make a beach for hanging out! You might have to spread out sand every year or two, but all all good, pretty soon you have a sandy bottomed pond! (No muddy bottom!) plant a few palmettos and it’s kinda a tropical paradise!😉
Please keep going, I’ve watched all of your postings on RUclips, we are like family now!! Are you growing your own produce? What are your plans for the pond? Your garden, further developments for your housing, extension to your living space, new technology to help with your self sufficiency, replacing those batteries…there’s still a journey.
A suggestion for your replacement dock. Make it a floating dock out of 6 or 8 plastic barrels. Maybe see how much it would cost to get the barrels filled with open cell foam insulation in case any of them spring a leak. Getting all of the undergrowth cleared from the pond edge REALLY opens up the view, with the added benefit of _removing_ snake habitat. Sorry, but with Beau motivating around on her own, Cam will be fairly soon AND the dogs, getting rid of venomous snakes close to the house should be a fairly high priority.
Chippers scare me to death! Please use extra caution when using that and make sure your babies stay away from it. I've heard of too many accidents involving chippers where I live. As usual, you're place just keeps looking better every episode.
You guys helped me get through the last two years- during the lockdown I would look forward to your videos. Hope to see more.
Awesome job. A pleasure to watch from beginning to end. ♥️

You guys really need a fence around that pond to keep the kids safe and out of that water.
You have done an amazing job. You guys compliment each other so well. I think renovating the barn and turning it into a shop is a great idea.
The waterfront looks very nice, great job Spencer! I understand wanting to clean it up considering the snakes that have shown up and the children are getting older so it will be good for them too, for their safety. I look forward to seeing whatever y'all decide to build as a deck/dock moving forward. So glad you saved the black willow tree! Re: pond IMHO you might want to consider putting in a solar powered pond aeration kit from tractor supply keeps the pond from becoming stagnant
Or DIY one, as Can't Contain us an It's a Wonderful Life have done.
Congratulations on the completion of your house! As you probably already know -- There's always something that needs to be updated and improved!!
Get lithium batteries, cut a hole in your floor, under your house, making a trap door in the floor so you can get to the batteries and this will protect your batteries from wet, heat & cold.
Put in a well AND, a wooden swing set for the kids!!
Also, because of the moccasin ( when there is one -- there are more!), get a floating solar-powered aeration fountain to help with the stagnate water. Would be neat as well!!
Ya'll have done a magnificent job on your home!!
You're never finished .......
Agree 100%
Hey guys, my wife and I are building as well. We have a 2 acre pond and you need aeration and pond dye in there. Do a pond dye video. Will clear up you algae, keep sunlight out of your pond and the aeration will keep it beautiful. We hooked our bubbler to a windmill that aerates ours. We also added rip rap all the way around the pond to make it beautiful. Love the channel
My wife and I love watching your videos and have done since the beginning. So inspiring and enjoyable. Seeing your family grow and your home too.
I personally would really enjoy seeing a workshop build for the future.
Great job, time for a complete tour of your home, also I think it would be great to build a fire pit with a view of the pond.
How about an aerator in the middle of the pond, powered by solar, to stop it getting stagnant?

A suggestion about wood chips. It takes nitrogen out of the soil to decompose chips if you just spread them. It’s better to pile them up and let them cook for several months, and even kick start them by adding nitrogen fertilizer and green grass clippings. Otherwise you are creating a net loss of nitrogen if you just spread them. This after several years keeping the jungle at bay on Kauai. We had several tree services delivering truck loads from their exploits, which we turned into black gold in short order with the heat and humidity Kauai has in abundance, as you have in summer. We would turn it regularly uncovering steaming pockets. It rained daily so we didn’t worry, but I imagine in your case it would have to be watched. Oh the snakes would flock to your piles, especially in winter, one downside, but you could use that to your advantage by locating far from Human activity.
And it can create fungus.
Good point about leaching nitrogen from the soil. Grass clippings, as you say, will help. Cultivating clover (not woodsorrel/shamrock [oxalis stricta] but white clover [trifolium repens]) fixes nitrogen into the soil, is immune to dog urine, helps pollinators, etc. So figuring out where nitrogen is important and where it is not is a good step in the planning process.
Your hard work has definitely paid off. Beautiful home. I have watched you from the very start. Everything looks amazing. Enjoy 👏

The pond looks so much better. The chipper was a great idea. I'm so glad you're finding more projects to do. Have you considered a floating dock using 55 gallon plastic barrels?
Here in Canada you can buy floating docks ,also you can buy water circulation systems for ponds . This would be great for the kids and their set up.

@@jt1364 You'd be shocked at how quickly that vegetation returns to those pond edges. There's plenty of natural habitat in the surrounding area. It will allow the larger animals better access to a water source during the dought. Believe me, I had a small lake behind my house. We regularly scalped the shore edges. Made mowing safer and it became a favorite watering hole for other species. Didn't take long for it to overgrow again. We had to go after it 2 or 3 times a year. Also - they have small children and it makes seeing the snakes a lot easier. But I understand your concerns.
Love the whole setup. I've been around since the containers were set in place and have marveled at your progress. Inspiring to say the least. Thanks for all the uplifting videos.
