So many people near by! I count 6 in the firing line when they were trying to chuck the axle! Keep clear of the big spinny thing that is out of balance!
Right! I saw that rear axle being spun up and my heart almost stopped watching all the folks standing where the axle would go if that piece broke off!!! A harder working bunch of guys I have rarely seen but the lack of safety gear is disturbing! But in any case lots of respect for what they can with what they have! 👍
Them loose sleeves right over the lathe make me nervous 😬 idk how they do it, much respect, imagine what they can do with a full shop of new machinery and all the right tools. 👍🏼👍🏼

Если ты хоть что то понимакешь в жесткости станка, то должен увидеть главное. Какие обороты, диаметр детали и толщина резца. А режет как масло. Значит там капиталка была, к тому же идеальная. А не Андрюха с люминевой линейкой и болгаркой.

Некому подсказать пацану, чтоб он болты сменил. Он сам учится. а русскоязычные, в основном х йню в комментах пишут. Сами при этом, ничего тяжелее мыши в руках не держали.
I am a machinist Toolmaker. I love and respect my wife and children too much to work like the people in this video. I appreciate that poverty is an issue here, but what is a life worth?
Point well taken. But they have wives and kids, too, and everyone's got to eat. We have it so good here in the USA and most people take it for granted.

You may find it easier to run a weld around the inner sleeve to shrink it and make it easier to remove with your long drift punch. Good video to watch.

Been a professional mechanic most of my 56 years. I can literally hear that drive flange scream every time they hit it with the hammer. That said. I admire those guys for being able to perform technically complex repairs without having even air tools to help them. You work with what you have. Saw this many times during my time in Haiti operating a diesel shop. Cap Diesel Repair in Cap Haitien.

Mean while here in the US, we have to wait months for the parts to come in because they're special order or factory only... yet these guys can rebuild it with literally a hammer and and screw driver... before lunch time!
In Pakistan they don't have paraffin operated blowtorches? But do have large hammers. Besides if you use hammers it brake faster and the customer gives you more money to "fix" it again.

Станок может ведь захватить и намотать... Для элементарной техники безопасности денег не нужно. К оборудованию отношение плохое. При сварке токи идут через подшипники. Жалко, что не хватает технического образования у работников. А так симпатичные и обаятельные люди. Надеюсь у них будет всё хорошо!

Клочья мяса,ваты от телогрейки,кровь на стенах и потолке,а до потолка 5 метров!Оторванная голова...Автослесарь вышел,а электродвигатель крутил кардан который крутил коленвал в двигателе от грузовика.Компрессию после ремонта ,зазор коромысел регулировать и прочее...как все отрегулируют со стенда холодной обкатки мотор ставят в грузовик.Это пишу для тех кто не знает.Обычно холодная обкатка занимает несколько часов...ну там так было.Помещение не отапливоемое...моторист ушел греться куда - то...Как намотало водилу никто не видел...камер наблюдения тогда не было.

I have had the misfortune to get a cutting chip go in my eye from one of my lathes and it's very not funny. I would to like it for nobody else to suffer this discomfort.
I don't know what to say, either you are geniuses or you are mad. But the fact that you are healthy and no one got hurt makes me believe that the first option is correct.
For sure but just how many people are killed or injured withput basic safety measures. When a person like this makes about $200 a month, safety isnt really a priority
they knows what they doing 100%.because they don't have lot of new replacement so I must get it fixed and also they created new parts (unbelievable experience)

I had a couple of accidentes when I worked doing what you guys do and it was very painful to drop something on your toes or splatter hot molten metal on your body. Lucky you are not haunted by insurance companies because that makes it twice as painful.

Talk about making a job harder than it has to be! Wow. We do em with the axle housing still in the truck. Only disassemble the wheel end that's getting the spindle replaced.
The lathe operator is fearless. He works inches from being torn apart or killed. My prayers go out to the entire crew.

Shows what you can do with the need and the skill. I've worked on heavy equipment and trucks most of my life. Understand how hard work this is.

Great job. Remember to heat the rear axle! Then you dont need to hit so much, just slide it inside.

I would suggest some safety glasses, and maybe some satey boots, chips from the carbide die grinder bit are not too fun to have removed...

Talk about making a job harder than it has to be! Wow. We do em with the axle housing still in the truck. Only disassemble the wheel end that's getting the spindle replaced.
