I think you would be right....
Good thing there steel toenail sandals 😁

How about the opening of the furnace where a worker could fall in ?
I did that for a year (UK) cause the bosses were tightwads. The UK was just as shit in the 1970's.
the accuracy of that lathe is measured in cm, look at that piece wobbling in there while being drilled out.
Cm? !!! Inches Hahahahaha
This would have been bored out to size afterwards, which the narrator didn’t mention because he clearly had no clue what was actually going on.
i noticed that also .it was like the chuck wasnt tightened 0r fk smooth wore out .lol

Health and safety would have a field day with this
As you know, they don't have health and safety. Why do you think nothing is made in the west anymore?
No, they got told to look the other way by the economic development agency with a strong arm guiding them as they did.
The teapot manipulation was superb.
You'd need a 64-bit number to count all the workplace safety violations in this place!
Not really. Those are for wimps.
Just crazy that such a workingplace still exists in the Year 2023. I do not want to know how many people are injured each week in this "factory", and when they die due to destroyed lungs or cancer.
probably none are injured because they watch what they are doing, don't have a nanny (osha) watching their every move, and they are not stupid like European and American workers.
@@JimNichols Sure you can "watch" if suddenly some molten iron droplets are ejected from teh furnace and land on your bare feet are on other parts of your body. But you can do nothing as this happens faster as you can escape. Its a great feeling when 1000°C hot metal find its way through your flesh till it reaches the bone.
And if you are really that stupid: You cannot see deadly gases, you are just dead when you inhale them. Or you have long term effects due to them.
@@JimNichols I guess you have no clue on how many people have gotten brain cancer from these paints they are using without proper protection .....
@@JimNichols See kids, comments like this are a symptom of breathing spray paint and furnace fumes all day. "Modern safety standards actually cause injuries" absolutely wild.
@@JimNichols That "nanny" keeps people safe, and alive. In civilized countries life is valued, not profit.
Being an electrician myself and now currently working as electrical/mechanical technician in a foundry factory. I really appreciate this video.
One word: Amazing!
Yes, health and safety is a big concern and quality too. But this is a backyard factory and yet they can produce motors and pumps using very simple and archaic machines.
Interesting❤️
Thanks for watching well come to my Chanel
I’m sure someone has already written this comment, but….. I am simply blown away by their work attire… FRIGGIN BAREFOOT!?!?!?! Someone should do a documentary on all the workplace injuries and or deaths that take place is such work environments
Zero injuries.
What is the life expectancy of these workers. Are there unions?

Them steel toe sandals offer the best protection
I wonder how many feet get crushed and metal gets shoved into the feet some of these places they dont even wear sandals

It's really impressive how in quite a rudimentary workshop these guys still manage to push out a great looking final product. It undoubtedly takes quite some skill, especially the winding of the motor looked super impressive. It clearly works, it would be pretty cool to see this happen in real life, thank you for posting the video, keep doing what you're doing :-)
My father bought the same motor 40 years ago for our well. My brother have the same motor till today functional.
Safety first and hand made quality !
Saludos.
8:50 Gotta LOVE the teapot tech. Awesome!
A nice mix of metal of different origin, mainly cast iron, composition to produce the same !

id like to see the youtubers donate a couple pairs of boots/gloves and respirators to the plants they visit
Great idea, next time I will do it
I would agree if they weren't using a smart phone.......
It's not about money it's the awareness which is required
They work so hard. God Keep them safe .
The only one keeping them safe is themselves.
God keeps them under pay
We have to admire the care they take with employee safety. Who needs hard hats, boots or thermal clothing to work with molten metal?
Americans are to blame for this. They got fat lazy slow and infatuated with being overly clean
You left out eye protection, ventilation, and no loose clothing.
Safety regulations are in developed countries, in 3rd world countries, people use brains to stay safe 😁
Why would the need hard hats other than to make you feel less scared?
@@adilsm2338 If people used brains they wouldn't be a 3rd world country in the first place.
In lack of high tech facilities, they doing the same with hard work and skills 👍
when i win the lottery each man here will get sone cash and brand new high quality protective gear including boots and safety glasses. respect to these people
the the person who wears that gear is slowed down so much he gets defooded and someone who is prepared to work at the pace of the foundry/factory gets the job and the food.
Remember, until the 1960s or so this was the standard way of working in factories, and had been for hundreds of years. And even today, its only really western nations that have the extreme health and safety.
The main reason is in western modern society the high value we put on 'life'. Throughout most of history, in all countries, a person was considered quite cheap, certainly not worth encumbering with protective gear that slows down the work process. People are cheap and replacable, factory production is not. Its only since the 1920s or so in a small numbers of first world countries this concept of 'valuing' life has become a thing and it has got bigger ever since, to the point where zero workplace injuries is now the expected norm - in the 1960s, a factory with under 2% annual employee DEATH rate, or a workshop/construction side with under 5% death rate, was considered acceptably safe even in the West.
@@Debbiebabe69PPE gear like boots, safety glasses, hearing protection etc doesn't slow down production. What slows down production is when a skilled worker gets seriously injured, requiring time to find and train their replacement.
@@mikesantos011 The things you mentioned are generally uncomfortable, and being uncomfortable is the number 1 way of slowing down production of a human.
@Debbiebabe69 nobody is going to get fired for wearing steel toed boots and safety glasses, those don't slow you down.

Good to see health and safety is alive and well.
Did you notice that some of the machinery was made in Keithly England. Manufacturing in the UK would have been like this is 1800’s. We in the UK don’t make anything anymore.
Probably most are from the time GB was the leader of most countries and GB left it there.
That's when England made things of quality, that lasted.
I am not an OSHA fan…..howwwwwwever,they do serve a purpose.

This is the craziest thing I’ve seen in weeks. Holy hell. I wonder if there are hardly ever any injuries because they have learned to be extra careful or there are a lot of injuries due to lack of safety equipment and procedures. I can only hope these hard working men are paid more than 10 Rupees a day.

I’m simultaneously astonished at this process, baffled at how it could possibly be economical to run a foundry, machine shop and motor winding manufacturing plant in the same facility…. and convinced that if modern technology experienced a sudden massive catastrophic failure, Pakistani industry would rule the world.
