I agree with sam.....multiple sloppy 360s, back and forth side ways, with a full cabin yet. Yeah I'd say he's pretty unsafe. If the engine went on vacation that low, and the bird being beavy, well I'm sure the auto rotation envelope he wasnt in. I am a pilot. My instructor always said, "always make sure you have a way out".
Being good or competent has nothing to do with being irresponsible. Never take a chance with people that close on the ground or with that many people inside the helicopter!
Nothing remarkable there - in fact making a smooth, neat, take off for passengers would have impressed me more. Seems like the pilot took unnecessary risks.
Normal restricted viz area take off. Good look all round before departure. Nothing wrong at all. Sorry if I lack experience, only have just over 10,000 hrs in my log books.
Forget the flying that whole start procedure was far too fast, never seen the clutch engaged so fast, completely unprofessional and that type of airmanship is dangerous and damaging of components, would not let him near my Gazelle, no way was he checking his pre flight checklist
All the people in these comments that actually own this aircraft gives me a lot of hope. Flying and owning the gazelle has been a dream of mine since I was about 7 years old when got to fly in one. I am nowhere near being able to own one anytime soon but I am only 22 so I don't think that it is a right-off just yet. Seeing that it is achievable is very motivating. We've got quite a few of them in South Africa, the Gazelle and Alouette are fairly popular with bush pilots despite their age. The gazelle is a beautiful machine.
YU immatriculation - Serbia - the guy wanted to show off his flying skills, which are not so impressive, and that with passengers on board in somebodies backyard - as many others commented: A stupid ego trip.
Single engine doesn't matter. I've flown crazier patterns than that! Those are just pedal turns and side to side maneuvers! A helicopter is made to fly like that!
Honestly I don't get what most of you are going on about. Forget the safety issues, I just seen terrible erratic maneuvering. There was nothing cool about it. It was sloppy and looked like shit! Not a single smooth transition and altitude holding was all over the place. Looked more like a novice learning to fly.
@@jbaviation4700 The aggressive nose over after the cyclic climb at the end of the video could result in mast bumping in semi rigid types like Robinson 44 but not the gazelle. Everything else is pretty ordinary tbh.
@@LONGIRAFFE haha hey thanks! Gotta love it when you get validated by a voice of authority 😅 Always great to hear. So, a _commercial_ pilot, huh? I didn't know there was such a thing with helicopters. Well... do you mean commercial like the airlines or did you just mean you fly commercially, but for private clientele? I don't recall ever seeing like, a United helicopter doing a pre-flight somewhere on the tarmac any of the times I've flown commercially. But I could easily imagine you working for a relatively smaller outfit, maybe ferrying high-end business types in and out of a big metro area or something like that. What a cool job _that_ would be!
If y'all think pedal turns and a couple constant-heading maneuvers are "showing out" then you obviously don't know anything about rotor craft, including safe flight envelope or emergency procedures. Nothing unsafe here
Not the way you handle that lovely heli-type. Idiot (playing child) of a pilot! Fly those great helicopters careful and respectful and with passion for the type! Not like a cowboy who's doing rodeo!!!
Single engine helicopter, most likely at or over gross weight, outside the auto rotation envelope, and a couple of others. Very nice, fast bird though.
That was definitely an unusual departure but I’m not sure it falls under crazy. I’ve seen a lot worse
that was stupid. we will read about him one day from the ntsb reports.
Dave Blevins what is stupid ???? Good helicopter pilot that’s all !
What am I seeing here? The pilot is showboating with passengers aboard. This is how tragedies are made.
You’re fired! I would never fly with this pilot.
Passenger to pilot: "How long you been flying helicopters?" Pilot: "What time is it?"
Just a show off in front of his passengers scaring them to hell , just a dork waiting to happen
The Gazelle had some long main rotor blades!
Love the paint job! Such a great sound the Gazelle has....
i do agree :)
Hover, one piroutte and away. WTF was so crazy about that?
So, what's crazy about it? Nothing. Just a normal lift-off routine. And for that, you get a dislike. Is giving you a dislike also crazy?

Wow! 20 seconds of average at best flying skills. 360 turns can be done during training.
Crazy? Shouldn't it say bad.
James Davies Good pilot ! What is crasy like mentionned on the title if this vidéo ???
That did look crazy, I saw one today flyby, Great catch, I liked & Subscribed 👍😎

THIS IS WHAT I LOVE THE MOST.
This isn't going to end badly.
I wonder how many people piss themselves..??🤣
I can imagine him saying this is his first flight with passengers, Even though it wasn't.👍👍 🤣😂
"Experts"!
For me ,one of the best !
I would not describe it as crazy just lazy.
The only "crazy person(s)" are the passengers. Sloppy flying.
Now I'm sure this guy is a professional he was probably trying to give his passengers a real thrill,. I'm sure that's what They got LOL
That's what I would call reckless flying. Revoke his license before he kills someone.

I need this helicopter for something.
That's the Blue Thunder helicopter.
That us irresponsible flying with passengers, that close to trees and that close to the ground.
That exhibition was not safe.
Jeez imagine if one of those blades just unhinged and propelled outward. man.

Ummmm…. a bit showboaty but not exactly death defying stuff on display here. A little bit rough on the machine, maybe.
Crazy? More like the kid in the front seat played with the cyclic
Must have been the pacs first time in a helicopter, pilot had to show off. Great footage.
Lorenzo Dunn thnx!
Pretending to act as though it's his first day Only to make someone piss themself..!😆👍👍
That guys flys like hes got almost 100 hours.
Watch colonel Krneta of Serbian airforce on this same type helicopter doing loops and all sorts of crazy flying
That was one pilot and passengers.
Seen a lot worse , seen a new A109 being written off when the tail hit the ground in fog.
That was way too close to people.
lnpilot i have been closer
Me trying to fly a heli in Arma.
No expert ..but that looked very close to going wrong

my favorite helicopter for sure but that isn't a ride I want to take....
Heli PadUSA its more like an rollercoaster haha but yeah the grazelle is a true beast (this one is an ex police helicopter from susex
I see nothing crazy
I see good Pilot skills
@remote5555 and , I suppose you been flying choppers from the age of 5 ?!
I bet that pilot is dead by now, no warm up clutch engaged well to fast. Engine and gearbox buggered.
Like me when I fly the gazelle in dcs
How could this accident have been prevented?
I didn't see anything crazy about that! Maybe its you that is crazy?

Completely irresponsible and foolish.
Must have skipped safety / common sense day. There is Zero room for unsafe pilots. Especially low skilled show offs.

What's crazy about this? Have you seen the power line maintenance, logging, or tuna fishing guys?
The owner is the crazy one....😉
Something about those moves didn't sit right with me, I dunno. That didn't appear to be very skilled imo. But I'm not a pilot, so..

look for example to this Test flight gazelle SA 341
