I was lucky enough to get a front seat flight in the Gazelle with a blue eagles AAC display pilot. The aircraft handling is fantastic, amazing experience doing aerobatics in a helicopter 🚁
man these things have a great sound. whats the correct term used for that style of anti torque? the ducted fan type. thats what gives em the amazing sounds
It’s called a Fenestron. The distinctive high pitch “whistle” is specific to the evenly spaced blades. Later Fenestron often have unevenly spaced blades to mitigate this noise.
I’m not sure about the 2 persons in front… mine is also a rayban but no glass 😉 but honestly… I think the impact of the bird on the front window will reduce the speed factor significantly that the force entering the cockpit will not be of that kind to brake the glass of the sunglasses 😎😉
I love the Gazelle it’s a beautifully designed helicopter. It’s my second favourite helicopter, right after the Chinook🫡🇸🇪
Phwoar, what a looker the Gazelle is!

They are talking about the checklist items 😉 but in Dutch
Fantastic!!
I would very much appreciate flying with Ann. I wish her audio wasn’t so muddled.
that tiny turbine makes a really iconic sounds, must be spinning at over 20k rpm
that 'tiny' turbine spins at 43.000 RPM and produces 870 HP (max continuous power).
Luv the Airwolf theme !

che macchina meravigliosa! un sogno!
AIRWOLF👍👍👍
Bastante explicou certinho o procedimento de acionamento durante a fase decolagem ea fase pouso.
Wrong music. You should have used the Bluethunder music since BT was a Gazelle.
I agree
Came here to make your post...you got it.
Very nice wish I could have been in the cockpit

Yep, sorry for that. It was a hot day and the GoPro’s were giving me a hard time. We will do a full video startup soon.
