we in serbia have modernized the gazelle, we added some armor to protect the pilot, optoelectronics as well as new guided missiles, one such unit was recently shown at the arms fair in belgrade partner2023 greetings from Serbia🇷🇸
It was an informative and clearly explained all characteristics of French Gezzal helicopter and its several versions for multiple duties...also video clearly explained creations of historical backgrounds of this most successfully designed helicopter around the world Thank you (weapon detective) channel for sharing this magnificent video
I knew that beautiful piece of engineering from my childhood in the eighties and nineties when it was in service with the German police in lower-saxony 😢 - made me fall in love with helicopters 🤩🥰
I flew this helicopter back in the 80s for the LAPD on a project called: THOR. Tactical Helicopter Offensive Response. Our callsign was: “Special 1” I found out what the GOVT was up to and made sure I foiled their plans. Your welcome, Frank Murphy.
the Aérospatiale Gazelle SA342M multi mission helicopter gunship was a true workhorse in terms of reliability & multi mission capabilities . . . SA342M were armed with a 7.62 X 51 MM M134 Minigun six-barrel rotary gun mounted on stores accessory on starboard side of the fuselage . . . upgraded SA342 were armed with HOT infrared guided anti-tank missiles, also mounted on stores accessory on either side of the fuselage . . . powered by the very reliable 840hp Turbomeca Astazou XIV turboshaft engine with FADEC . . . the Aérospatiale Gazelle SA342M multi mission helicopter gunship compact size makes it ideal as a close fire support gunship . . . it's been said that Aérospatiale Gazelle SA342M multi mission helo gunships were upgraded with partial glass cockpit & first gen fly-by-wire flight control system . . . FLIR & day/night target definition camera were mounted on top of the SA342M forward fuselage, immediate above the cockpit . . . however pilots also had the option of NVGs as well . . . the Fenestron® tail rotor on the SA342M was a simple yet novel of a aerodynamic design . . . in the 1980s Indian Army made a big mistake when they acquired the Aérospatiale Gazelle SA342M multi mission helicopter gunship instead of the more capable Aérospatiale Gazelle SA342M multi mission helicopter gunship . . .
Serbia there are 20 more Gazelle helicopters armed with 4 Malyutka rockets and 2 Strela-2 manpads each!!! Very fast aircrafts and it's fun to watch them destroy the target with Malyutkas!!! Useful tank killers we just have to modernize them!!!
Good video. If going to war in a Gazelle, I think I would opt for a sideways-firing machine-gun rather than lightly annoying someone with an ahead-firing 20mm. P.S. And I can still remember hearing about Teeny Weeny Airways in San Carlos Water.
They were so vulnerable to small arms fire in the Falklands War that some voices in the British army lobbied for their removal from service. This was in stark contrast to the old Westland Scout, which by all accounts was "built like a brick outhouse".
The Indian army and Air force still used it and not replacing it yet as Indian luh which is the replacement for cheetah chetak is still in production stage...... Indian uses one is called cheetah and Chetak but largely is same as they're the same company but this gazelle is better than cheetah as it more modernised and also more advance in short .... Still it's Avery good helps comparing to its prices but I had no place deas about the safety as Indian armed forces used ones are prone to accidents being made and inducted during from the 60's
Man isn't it now slowly time for an upgrade of your mic in order to improve the audio quality? Its really tough to listen to your content. Im pretty sure that most of your audience feels that way. And it will for sure help to increase your viewership.
Thanks for your interest. We already improved our audio quality. This was an old video with new footage so the audio remained a little bit low quality. Sorry for that.

LAPD gave up on their dreams of a gunship and just started BiP'ing their shit in neighborhoods.
Thanks for that.

Finally the gazelle video 🎉🎉🎉
"Gazelle": Such an appropriate name for this beautiful machine.
My favorite helicopter, featured in my favorite movie, "Blue Thunder."
Love that film and the helicopter.
Very very good. I worked for Aerospatiale in flight test. They make incredible helicopters.
0:33 range safety at BATUS in Canada. I have undoubtedly worked on that helicopter.
We used to call it the 'floppy'.
Excellent video. Thanks
Another highly informative and enjoyable video😊
I loved their sleek look. We had them here in Ireland ☘️

Nice movie.
Kids are in awe of MH-6 Littlebird, true man love Gazelle
They’re both super cool.
No love for the Alouette III?
Another piece of equipment make you regret not being a pilot
Richard Hammond piloted one in Top Gear.

I suspect that they were equally fragile, in which case I'd rather fly in the faster one.
All about that tailpipe
