      @@TakeThatScrewOut I have a few questions, maybe you can help me.
      1) I can't find 3.55mm, is 3.5 or 4 better? And is it possible to cut 3 strips (1 + 1 + 1.5 or 1.5 + 1.5 + 1) and connect them (so as not to buy 3.5 / 4 separately)?
      2) There are 3 options for thermal pads in the store: single-sided adhesive / double-sided / no glue (self-adhesive), which one to choose?
      3) Thermal pads for 13 watts and 15 watts, the difference in price is 2 times, according to reviews on RUclips, they are the same. I understand that 15 watts makes no sense?
      4) Is it possible to put one continuous strip as a keepsake (many people do this) or is it necessary to cut it into squares?

    • @TakeThatScrewOut
      @TakeThatScrewOut  Год назад

      @@TETINNN1 based on my personal experienced, one whole pads is the most effective than multiple layer and stick them together. And if you use a bit thicker than the stock recommended, its fine as long as its a soft kind of pads..Thermal Pads has two different class, some manufacturer like Gelid and TEUCER use a stiffer pads, and some are softier like the Arctic. If possible use a one whole long stip if the chips are close with each other, doesn't make sense to cut the pads off little by little. But most with VRAM CHIPS they're have gap apart from earch other, so use individual pads on each chip.

    • @TakeThatScrewOut
      @TakeThatScrewOut  Год назад

      @@TETINNN1 If you you have no other choice, you can do 1.5mm plus 1.5mm stick it together to make it 3mm. But this is only the last option you should do as this idea is not as effective compare to a whole pads. But definitely this could be better than no pads at all, this would still works..but it transfer heat less compare to whole one pad.

    If I just want to paint my 6700 xt backplate and shroud. I wouldnt need to disassemble the heatsink from the vram correct? So I wouldnt need to worry about the thermal pads there? Just what was disassembled?

    • @TakeThatScrewOut
      @TakeThatScrewOut  10 месяцев назад

      If you really want to paint the Front shroud and backplate..you should strip off the entire gpu..its quite easy on this unit. to prevent paint to get into the heatsink and possibly into the pcb that could potentailly damage it. detach the front shroud and backplate to paint it. you should rub it with sand paper first 800 to 1000 grit, then plastic Primer before topcoat to make sure a good bond and quality result, use spray can.

    Bro, please don't make people listen to a 2-minute song about promiscuity that sounds like it's based on 1 chord for 12 MINUTES STRAIGHT. It feels terrible and annoying. There's a reason its composer made it 2 minutes long.
    Back when I was a teenager I would laugh at songs based on 3 chords, naively thinking "they can't remove any more harmony and still call it a song" and yet, we have songs based on variations of 1 chord, such as this one. It hurts to listen to it as a musician.
