    Best regards !!🎉

    • @TakeThatScrewOut
      @TakeThatScrewOut  8 месяцев назад +1

      To be honest, i don't recommend to replace it with Liquid metal on this particular card because the die plate is not design for liquid metal..Aluminium (Aluminum) will have a bad chemical reaction with liquid metal..pure copper is fine. If you really want to try replace it with liquid metal, i would suggest to put insulation tape (electrical tape) around the edges of the gpu die..make sure the tape is sealed, this will help to prevent the liquid to spill and spread on the sorroundings to prevent short circuit. But be aware using liquid metal compare to good quality thermal paste has a very minimal difference..i think its not worthied doing so, and the potential risk that could happen.

      To be honest, i haven't tried those product yet. But i think i've seen Linus from LTT feature's and review those product before, that was few years ago..and the result wasn't great, not bad but its better to use a High Quality Thermal Paste like Noctua. Liquid metal also good performer but quite risky.

    I received a (free) copy of this card past rma that won't display or even show up in Windows or bios. It does light up and did turn on once in testing but usually doesn't turn on fans except when restarting my PC manually. Prior to that time it got very hot but now it doesn't get hot at all. I think the issue may just be poor heatsink mounting. I just took it apart and replaced pads and paste but the problem is not resolved. I've noticed the backplate is rather uneven. Do you think I'm on the right track and if so any suggestions? Should I literally just remove the backplate and hammer it into shape?

    • @TakeThatScrewOut
      @TakeThatScrewOut  5 месяцев назад

      Hi bro! I think you've done the right thing by changing the pads and repasting it with fresh one..just investigate and make sure the Die plate is totally flat and screwed in properly, cause a very slight gap could cause thermal throttle.

    • @TakeThatScrewOut
      @TakeThatScrewOut  5 месяцев назад

      Or maybe the Uneven surface of the backplate cause the heatsink not in good contact with the gpu die. Try to fix the backplate bro..the most important is the surface between the gpu die ang heatsink plate to transfer the heat. That might solve the issue

      I know this is 5 months old but my card, (same as in the video) had terrible coil whine. I got rid of most of it by running Heaven benchmark for a half an hour then tested in game. I did that three times over the course of a week and it pretty much disappeared. Idk why it worked but it did, I had read a comment on trying it and people were having success with it although they were doing it for 24 hrs, I did not feel comfortable doing it that long. Then I did some research on my power supply and it was 8 years old (EVGA nex750B). It was on the tier D of the psu list so I decided to replace it and the coil whine is completely gone. I replaced it with a Super Flower Leadex VII 1300w which is a top tier unit. I could have went 850w or 1000w but the price difference was 10-15 bucks so why not go big. Hope this helps someone. Coil whine is so annoying. Oh almost forgot if you are using one cable with 2 8 pins to power the card switching to to 2 cables has solved the problem for others. I was already using 2 separate cables.

    I have this model of card and it shows "artefacts" (in this case being red, blue and green pixels; very few and far between) and crashes but recovers instantly when trying to put any kind of load on it. The artefacts when in the Radeon software only show over the application itself and not on the entire screen. I've tried everything from PSU upgrade, cable checking & swapping; seating, ddu SM, uninstalling reinstalling the ram, bios, chipset, put it into a new mobo with a fresh install of window and finally opening it up to repaste and repad it. All components looked fine to the observing eye, from what I've looked up my card is probably just faulty and I'd do better to chuck it off then waste any more time with it. I do not have the tools or proper knowledge for further investigation of the card. It is just a roiling thing to deal with. Past RMA timeframe. Any thoughts or knowledge you could pass on this?
