Hi James, I have got one of these, I have had it for over twelve months now and have found it to be very a reliable and accurate 6mm airsoft pistol. I found the more you use it the more the blowback action frees up.
I own several Umarex spring guns and a couple gas guns and really like the licenced Walther products, as Umarex and Carl Walther GmbH are under same corporate umbrella. Considering purchasing the gas pellet PPQ for dry runs and home drills. BTW the early PPQ had what is generally referred to as a "paddle" magazine release, like the P99 he is talking about in video. The PPQ M2 was changed to a push button mag release, due to the American market preference for the latter style magazine release. I own the PPQ .45, which is an M2, although not designated as such. Literally my only gripe with the "real steel" (I guess this is an Airsoft community term for a real firearm) PPQ is that the grip surface is too smooth and the slide serrations not nearly aggressive enough. This is easily remedied with Talon grips and a Slide Spider, for under $50.00 or a $500 25 LPI checkering job at a gunsmith's shop. Hmmmm...tough choice, but I'd rather drop the remaining $450 on ammunition! It might be worth using some skate tape on a plastic popper like this Umarex; that's what I did until my Talon and Spider grip products arrived and I left a couple areas of skateboard tape on the slide, which the Arachnigrips don't cover. The increased frictoin and grip are a must for me, especially helpful for training in areas such as non traditional chambering, AKA pant leg or "boot racking." God Bless the Queen, but thank GOD I am an UK ex-pat and live in USA! Sad to see the neutering of the UK, one of the mightiest firearms nations in history; emphasis being on 'history', sadly. The Brits and Scots were the OG of "Go big or go bugger yourself sir!" We gave the world gems like 12 bore/gauge and .577 calibre two and four barrel Howdah pistols, (THE OG "sawn-off from the factory" shotty! WICKED!) glorious, literal artillery calibre double rifles from makers such as Purdey and H&H in calibres up to .700 (17.8 mm!) And let's not forget the Nitro Express family of ammunition! Until the MRI/IMI Desert Eagle was released in 1985, Britian held title as makers of the most powerful semi auto pistol in history, the marvelously clunky, complicated, cartoonishly gigantic, steampunk-esque Mars pistol in .455, designed by H.G.W. Fairfax. If we go to the pre-SCMC, black powder muzzleloading era, the standard British "Brown Bess" was a .75 calibre musket. I've seen a 4 bore/4 gauge side by side muzzleloader in the Leeds collection; 4 bore is 1.052 INCH! My, what a rant! Nobody's going to read that, but, oh well... CHEERS!
I use my ppq as my primary when I want to leave my rifle behind. It has the slim profile lancer tactical laser. And an extended mag. Go threw entire mag no jams no problem. Simply a great performance pistol
such a relief not to see a reviewer thinking he is a gun expert just because he can field strip it for the camera .great video for that alone .ps i own this and it is as good as he states great whack and full auto mod
That rattle is in the real PPQ as well. It's meant to loosen the slide tolerances a bit, to increase reliability from debris that makes it's way into the gun.
thanks mark! it's one of those things, sometimes its nice just to have a plink and have a bit of fun - which is where these types of guns come into their own. james
Would you mind if you could tell me with how many shots the gun runs out of '' gas'', what are the perfect Bbs and ''gas'' for this gun and how far can it shoot
if you're a legend with pistols and fancy a challenge i'd say just throw loose BB's.... why hold yourself back, dig deep. be the legend you know you can be.
ya know something , got back from work at half four , still light , but too breezy & a bit nippy still up the britches too go out on me outside range ( 30mtrs and runs down the side of the house and out into the bottom of the garden ) so watch this vid on me telly . DAMN IT , gorra get one of them pistols . just enough room inside the house ( from living room wall , where there's a comfy settee facing up the hallway too the front door .. WELL !! would you credit it , its only 12 " freaking " yards .. jobs a good un I say ... got an empty telly box down shed , and a couple of couch cushions the dog lies on in the spare room too pack the box with ...HEY PRESTO !!! an indoor range ... for those " windy/ rainy " days ... cant wait till mrs gets back from work too tell her me idea ... CHEERS DOOD ...
I hope those BBs are biodegradable ?? Why not use a pellet catcher thing instead of firing all those plastic/metal BBs and lead pellets instead of leaving them in the hedgerow. Love your videos and not having a go just making a recommendation ;)
I haven't looked back since i bought a Remington RAC Tactical 4.5mm BB Pistol .... full metal with blowback in awesome black. Was my first air gun back in December '16 @ 51 yrs old lmao. Have to say it is quite an accurate gun considering. Would be worth reviewing ;)

I read it, but I am from the UK. The Walther PPQ M2 airsoft is probably as good as it will get in the UK.

Great review, I have needed a new real airsoft pistol for a long time and this video is amazing! I hope the pistol is worth the $119.95!

Ah ok - interesting to know, thanks!
Great review James . Not really into these kind of pistols but the more I watch your reviews the more I am getting interested
thanks mark! it's one of those things, sometimes its nice just to have a plink and have a bit of fun - which is where these types of guns come into their own. james
Good and clear review. I've heard that with time and use the slide can crack by the ejection port.
thanks! i've heard the same but so far touch wood mine has been fine...
Would you mind if you could tell me with how many shots the gun runs out of '' gas'', what are the perfect Bbs and ''gas'' for this gun and how far can it shoot
Cool video gave it a like I like the setup area
cheers, appreciated! james
hey, does this particular airsoft pistol fit steel bbs?
Him- “There are no rattles”
Gun- “My time to shine”
Buddy, gonna give you a "like" - good video, although a 4.5mm is a BB steel ball, a 6.0mm is an airsoft plastic ballistic projectile...
Is it heavy?
So... would you recommend this as a main weapon? I’m a legend with pistols and want a challenge.
if you're a legend with pistols and fancy a challenge i'd say just throw loose BB's.... why hold yourself back, dig deep. be the legend you know you can be.
@@ReplicaReviews will do m8, I mean why not... There's nothing against it!

give it a try, can't beat an indoor range! james
But dont these have to be two-tone ?
No...
@@ReplicaReviewsI think unless you are a registered Airsofter or have a license they have to be two tone to be legal..
this one is better than SMITH & WESSON M&P 40?
personally i prefer the m&p 40. both really nice pistols though
I hope those BBs are biodegradable ?? Why not use a pellet catcher thing instead of firing all those plastic/metal BBs and lead pellets instead of leaving them in the hedgerow. Love your videos and not having a go just making a recommendation ;)
don't worry all the ones that hadn't gone right into the row were picked up and binned. james

Gbb
Is this full metal?
the slide is metal and the lower frame is polymer.
Why does everyone reviewing this have the same accent?
