Here we look at the Umarex T4E Walther PPQ .43 Caliber CO2 Pistol. This pistol is aimed at Paintballers and those wishing to practice their pistol skill & drills etc.
T4E is a project Umarex has begun that makes training marker versions of popular duty weapons, law enforcement agencies can have custom weapons produced to perfectly match their weapons so they can do force on force training with live fire simulation (instead of yelling ‘bang’) and use their actual holsters/optics that they carry every day, not a replica, but their actual duty belt. It’s just a bonus they are chambered in .43 for standard chalk balls which also allows them to be sold to paintball guys to make some of the r&d money back. While the effective use of .43 pepper balls is debatable, I’m sure they sell more than a few of these to the self-defense folks who don’t want to kill anyone with a real firearm. If that’s what you’re looking for, the price on these is much better than a Byrna.
Hi AR77 Really enjoyed this review, like yourself I was going to purchase the pellet version of this pistol, however I too was put off by the fact that the pellet version does not have the lock back after last shot capability. I also find both the larger calibre and range of ammunition available for this pistol very appealing, although I like the look of the Glock T4E, I think that this Walther is much better looking and is also a lot cheaper! The only thing I don't like is the positioning of the warning writing because for some reason on my pistol the warning writing has been etched on to the left-hand grip just below the slide release lever, whereas on your model I think it has been etched on the underside of the trigger guard (much better). However I have managed to tone this down by carefully going over it a few times using a permanent marker and removing the excess ink using a chamois leather dampened in methylated spirit. Interesting. We can’t do that over here as it stands. Out of interest, is that because you prefer a non lethal option or because of restrictions based on where you are etc?
@@airgunreplicas77 I do not have a carry permit, I do carry black powder pistols quite a bit if I go into a sketchy area. Here in Texas you can carry a black powder revolver without a permit. All of that may change in September if constitutional carry goes through as expected.
@@morriszachrisson8359 absolutely I do, I trust the pepper balls and the solid rounds to do the job. I'm not trying to go through a legal battle when I kill anyone it's just not worth it. I do carry a lethal weapon in my boot but the odds of me pulling it are slim to none unless someone is truly trying to take my life. I grew up in Texas my entire life and have never not been around guns, but I've never understood the stupidity of someone saying I'm just going to kill someone if they step to me. Taking someone's life is a legal fucking nightmare that I will not face if I can help it.

@@airgunreplicas77 Yeah it's great! The trigger gets some getting used to. But its very accurate, feels and looks like a real fire arm. One problem is going though loads of pellets with the 21 round mag .
It is intended for training and as a non lethal option in countries where that is legal. In the UK i think you would struggle to justify using this as a defensive tool.
The Walther PPQ .43 cal pistol doesn’t produce enough joules of energy for home defense. All you’ll do is piss off anyone who intends to harm you. I suggest researching another Umarex product: the HDR 50 / TR50 (0.50 cal) 11 joule model (not the more common ~7 joule version). Use it with nylon balls, or for real stopping power, “Devastator bullets” which are stainless steel balls with plastic jackets that stabilize the steel ball flight. Note that either ammunition that I suggested *can* be lethal, so aim is of utmost importance! Chest / torso shots are recommended. No head shots with the TR50, regardless of the ammo you use!!!

Why didn't you get the PPQ M2 pellet pistol with 21 round mag and blow back .177

Does anyone make a 43 caliber steal pellet for this?
I believe you can get rubber balls as well as rubber coated steel balls as well as .43 cal paintballs.
