- The Pere Marquette 1225 returns to the rails for the first time in nearly 2 years after its massive running gear overhaul from FMW Solutions. The big Berk looks and sounds fantastic with its new drivers and fresh coat of paint!
This locomotive was used as a blueprint for the 2004 Warner Brothers movie "The Polar Express."

The #1225 returns to steam now. with a new running gear and headlight, she makes headlines once more. WB PM #1225. Thanks FMW Solutions LLC for helping out in repairing #1225
Great video man! Even though the whole day was backlit, your shots still looks amazing, well done
When done right, backlighting is beautiful. I enjoy it. Thanks for the nice comment👌

Nice video
3:43, the way you that car zoomed off as if it was chasing the train 😂
Edit: I’d probably do the same. I’d be like, “Ok 1225 I’ll see you at the next railroad crossing!”
You are always putting out spectacular videos! Love the camera quality. I especially loved this video because the 1225 is my favorite engine :)
Thank you!
WOOOOOOOOOOOO YEAH BABY, THATS WHAT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR
WOW! This is an amazing production of 1225 back and running again Cullen. I was there chasing her as well. I knew I saw you a few times throughout the trip, and I wanted to say hi, but I guess I was too nervous 😆. I'm the one in the brown jacket at Ashley.
Thanks for such a nice comment. I’m just a railfan like everyone else. Feel free!
🔥🔥
Awesome vid
It looks so real with the steam going. That is so cool.
The fireman was doing his job that day. The steam was very white most of the day and it looked great so I focused on the plumes.
@@CullenTabaczynski Great job
Thank you!@@TrainHardy396

Awesome video! 😎 What camera do you use for filming?
It’s a LUMIX S5
At 4:00 what is the address to the crossing and road?
Per Shane's interview of re-building the '25, he briefly mentioned that she WILL be burning oil in her next outing(s), (and I get it with the price of coal these days). I couldn't help but notice "steeped" coal in her tender, (which could be fake). I tried to ask this question a video or two ago, and have NO response. Anybody's thoughts?
Which interview?
As in the running gear for 1225s driver boxes, as to make her more efficient. Southern Pacific inspired system that uses a better lubrication and system to decrease wear on driving wheels, axles, rods, abd ect. 1225 is still a coal burner when it comes to fuel.
Thanks for clearing that up😅@@regularguy7266
@@regularguy7266definitely a coal burner. Coal was shoveled, the stoker was running, and that smell was undeniably burning coal.
It was not surreal that the polar express carried many carriages, now watching the video, the real train can carry many carriages
Beautiful video! But man, those double level coaches just don’t fit this locomotive. They’re quite ugly.
Agreed, thanks!
