'Ya know something I've always wondered about? Is why do Steam locomotives seem to "pant" while they're at rest. Is it an "Expansion / Contraction" thing in the boiler itself? Or is it something else. I've been around Steam since I was a child, (I'm now 70 years old), and quite frankly, I'm embarrassed to ask the question, but nobody EVER explained this to me, nor did I ask...Your thoughts?
