I have this same bik and same exact color!! I had a 1986 Yamaha xj700 maxim for 5 yrs and I thought this bike would be like the xj700. I’ve had the MT-07 for a month now, and I have to say, I’m in love with my MT-07. I call mine Trinity because of the 3 ways she satisfies me. Comfortable, power, and looks. I plan on keeping her for a long time!!😁
I have been riding since 1985, and this bike is more than enough for an old guy like me. Been through the CBR phase already. Great bike, horrible for riding much more than an hour. Sold my Triumph Street Twin - love the classic look, but the bike was quite heavy. This will probably be my forever bike from here on out. I love how light and powerful it is.
The only reason I'm watching this video is because I determined last year that the new mt07 would be my forever bike if I ever got one. I probably won't won a motorcycle for a long time, so I'm just admiring it from the side. What a beautiful machine.
I am also surprised at how much better on the interstate this is than my Bonneville Street Twin. It's still not as good as a full screened bike, but much more aerodynamic and less wind buffeting.
Its always scary when you got your license, crossed over your bike and went for your first ride. Even after years of riding it still scares me every now and then. However, dont let your fear stop you my friend. Always find an excuse to ride and have fun!!!
I have this bike as well but in blue. This is my 5th bike, i've had a 2017 zx10, r1, 2 600s, a 750......this bike is still a lot of fun and way more comfortable.
Brit_Shooter nice! I current just have a Honda grom and really want one of these as my second bike, hoping I can get one this year, if not it'll have to wait until next spring...
“A naked bike is very scary to ride at high speeds.” Give it some time. I used to ride an 07. As your experience and skill level grows, you’ll be very comfortable on this bike, even at high speeds.
Are the tank stickers Clear coated over? I am getting the white one (don't like the yellow or blue rims on the others) but am not a fan of the red. Hoping that they will peel right off. Thanks in advance.
The decals on the tank are not cleared over. But they may be a chore to remove. The red side farings are painted, but can be removed / isolated for repaint if you'd want. Tail tidy and blinker replacement makes this bike look pretty nasty! I like the red accents myself so I disagree with you there. I do agree with you about the other US spec color options.
Thanks for the reply. The red accents don't look horrible by any means, and I may change my mind once I get the bike. But I do like the look of the European black and white scheme. Happy riding, my friend!
knox2613 👍 I love the bike and have been working on it. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions about it when you get it or before. Definitely enjoy it, it's a treat!
This bike is all you need. Save the money from not buying a crotch rocket and buy some nice clothes - riding and non-riding. You can easily afford a down payment on a house by not getting into that super sport phase buying expensive race bikes and upgrading them. I get tons of looks on my MT-07 because people don’t know the difference between an MT-07 and a super sport.
i got mine 2 yrs ago still fun to ride 100 mph i cool anything over doesn't feel safe lol but over all nice bike i love it cant wait to get me a streetglide tho
That's a beautiful naked bike,, keep practicing and you will get used to the speed and I recommend you go to youtube and watch the reviews of the MT-07 so you can learn more about it ride safe brother and make more videos,, thanks for the review.
Sam Mehat there is no wind protection. Just lean forward into it you’ll be fine. Anything above 80 for more than a few minutes will wear you out, but cruising 60-70 is no problem for me. Feels really nice in the SoCal heat
Hey guys. I have a question. I just bought a new 2018 a week ago. After 400 km's my chain got very loose. I had to tighten my chain already 2 times in the first 500km's. The dealer says its normal if someone could tell me please if thats ok or not? First 400km i had a 70mm space (max is about 58mm). After 100km when i tightend it to 51mm it got to 60mm.
North America doesn't get the black this year, or at least not in Canada. Grey, blue and white are the colours this year. Euro market gets the black instead of the white. I prefer the black, but the grey this time is nicer than the last grey
All depending on how hard you ride ofc, but over the course of my road-trip of 2100km or 1300 miles this summer. I used an average of 3.2 liters per 100km, which is around 73 miles per gallon i think.

I want this same exact bike! I'm currently working to afford it. It'll be my first motorcycle and I'm really really excited.

Same here (although I still kept my Supertenere - and you call your triumph heavy...). Ps: since 1984
Wow, that’s the nicest color scheme FZ07 I’ve seen

p128sniper actually 2018 is the first year they have called it the MT07 in the US. So, you’re wrong Ha Ha!
Brit_Shooter haha that is correct! Lol didn't know that... I love the new color tho, it has black, red and white!

Brit_Shooter nice! I current just have a Honda grom and really want one of these as my second bike, hoping I can get one this year, if not it'll have to wait until next spring...

Easy to remove with some heat, left over glue can be removed with brake cleaner. Greets
Thanks, Dutch!

How is the wind protection on the highway? Is it manageable?

does the engine gets hot?
Do you notice any handlebar wiggle? I heard the handle bars wiggle because of the rubber mounts
Not on the 2018.

Congrats man!! Lucky you
They sell this color as stock? I thought it's only black, blue and gray/yellow.

Shame we don't get this White/Red color combination in Europe, it's the best color scheme IMO
Nice. Ride safe bro
Love that colour man 👍 😉
i think previous mt07 has better taillight.
