    What are some changes YOU would make to the MT07 if you could?

    All those reasons which you hate the bike is easily fixable. I used to hate the agressive engine braking until I tuned mine and now it's perfect😋

      Of course and the video is subjective. If you watch the 5 things I love video I actually really enjoy this bike! The engine alone is FIRE!!!! Thanks for watching!

    I have that same noise problem with my MT07 , but I love the engine braking I use it to slow down bike, since I don't have abs, the engine braking comes in handy

    I got the exact same ticking but i get confused when some would suggest a cam chain tensioner problem. I had many 4 stroke bikes within 25 yrs, i am very familiar with CCT problem but this MT07 doesn't sound like it. By the way, the ticking like coins in the engine came from the left top side mostly not the right side where the CCT is. The ticking does behave like valve because it vanished once you rev up, but weirdly valve clearence does not do high pitch coins rattle noise, usually lower pitch noise, the cct on the other hand sometimes do high pitch noise. If CCT problem, it would not dissappear as you rev up, it will become more like diesel engine sound, like old tractor. I noticed sometimes when i ride calmly, below 5000 rpm, change gear at last point of ECO indicator, ticking almost gone when idling at stop. But if i ride like i stole the bike, it came back with nuisance ticking. Some said that is normal YAMATICK, ignored it and lucky, it will be gone after the 1st valve clearence job done. Well maybe i have to wait until 30000km to believe. Is there anyone had solved the nuisance? Anyone had their 1st valve clearence to confirm, instead of put after market exhaust to deny the annoying ticking sound?

      As soon as I did the CCT it 100% fixed the problem. Wether it’s valves or whatever the tensioner did the trick for my bike. Thanks for watching!

    Haven't tried the 2021 MT09, but the 2018 I rode was garbage.
    Suspension is way too soft to have that much power.
    Somehow feels 2x bigger even though it's only 13lbs heavier than the MT07. I wanted to love it because the engine is amazing, but 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Standard seat is pretty bad. L/H switchgear is too small -easy to beep when trying to indicate. Apart from that it’s a fine machine.

    Today,i found a chance to drive mt 07 for a licence lesson. This bike is incredible, is that bike suitable for beginners, what is your opinion as an mt07 owner?

    • @UrbanMoto
      @UrbanMoto  3 года назад

      First of all thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I also have a vid on the 5 things I love :). That being said. I think it's a fine beginner bike if you have self control. I personally started on a 500cc around 20 years ago and I think that is more of an approachable cc especially with bikes like the Mt03, Duke 390, etc. I would make sure you throw your leg over as many as you can before you select one. With all that being said I think it's certainly a great platform you could grow into from an experience level! Welcome to the riding community! :)

      Hey, I'm a beginner as well and finished my licence in beginning of september (in Germany). I recently bought a MT07 2017 and I love it. It's forgiving, if you have a soft throttle hand, you won't wheelie or get scared because of speed. It's good for beginners, with enough power to cope all kind of traffic. I never was scared or anything. And I like the fit. I'm a girl 1.74 meters tall. :) Be safe and don't forget your gear. ;)
