I don't know the voice commands... I think that was an incorrect statement. That is very impressive on what you can do. I have been waiting for something like that for years!
I’m sure most of you know that Duet has been doing this for years. Since 2015 when I bought the first gen 12.9” iPad Pro, I’ve used the Apple Pencil and the iPad Pro as a writing tablet to write music notation in Notion 6 for macOS. It’s always worked fine. I’m sure Apple has improved some of the details, but Duet has always been very useful. I’m glad Apple added it to macOS though. The iOS and macOS integration is coming along. And they’ve been able to bring the iPad OS closer to macOS instead of dumbing down macOS. This will end up being much more useful than having an unwieldy Windows eco system across desktops and tablets.
Yes. And it has been for years. MacOS is and has been lightyears ahead of Windows in terms of accessibility. This update is just making it miles better than it already was and thus making Windows seem even more lax in this regard.
I'm not gonna lie, Sidecar is seriously impressive. Streaming HD video over the air with low enough latency to use it as a proper secondary display is no small feat, as anyone who tried to do the same with a regular tablet can attest. The fact that some software is getting support for the pencil brings a lot of value to the whole setup as well.
Unfortunately, AdGuard Pro is currently incapable of blocking ads in a number of applications, the list of which is provided below: RUclips Facebook Twitter Instagram
I'm considered with device management with the disappearance of iTunes. How will I back up my iPhone (without uploading my data to icloud), or sync legacy devices or recover a device from recovery mode. I've read it will be integrated into Mac OS, what if I'm part of the 80% of Windows users? Would I be forced to keep dead software on my computer?
via Finder -> Back up, update, and restore through the Finder Each time you connect a device, you can find it in the Finder sidebar. From there you can back up, update, and restore your device.
Doubt about replacing wacom. It's like a touch input and a mouse, you won't kill a mouse when you cover half of the screen with your hand. That's the main reason I don't draw on my Surface and keep doing it on a wacom tablet and a desktop monitor. That, and monitor+wacom costs 2-3 times less than a simple tablet PC with pen support and is more reliable overall.
I think he was talking about the Wacom Cintiq because it is a display drawing tablet. Tbh I primarily put my non-drawing hand on the keyboard for shortcuts and move it to the mouse to scroll. I think the iPad is mostly considered a killer for cintiqs because of having very little parallax, good latency, and good colors/resolution and of course the price point vs newer cintiqs. The iPad pro is also considerably better for on the go digital drawing versus a cintiq companion and crazy less expensive than the wacom mobile studio devices. With Sidecar I see this being a nice little device for drawing especially if you don't have loads of money but would like to draw on the go and on computer. I say loads of money like the new iPads aren't starting at almost $1000, though I'm mostly talking about the Ipad pro 10.5 in.
i'm amazed at the low latency .... is this because of the apple chips they use ? cos on my apple TV 4K there is a bit of latency.. btw , i'm just curious, does in the USA in 2019 you still have Data plans for home network ? ( cos from were i came from internet since the first DSL provider came around has always been unlimited ) and nowadays it's similar for 4G , or 3G back in the day , for like 15,99€ you can have unlimited data , i used more than 1,80 Tb of shared 4G date with my imac for my iphone in january cos i was moving ^^ so is data plan still a thing in the USA nowadays ??

Those voice commands were actually really really impressive
Pretty wild, eh?
How will syncing iPads and iPhones work in Catalina?
@1:56 this is not the reason for disabling touch. I use it with Duet on a smaller iPad and it works perfectly
Will Catalin support iMac 2012 ?
harry smyth yes Harry iMac 2012 and later.
Is this only for the iPad Pro?
hadn't watched you in a while. Your production quality is off the charts now!
Cheers!
Snazzy Labs definitely gonna be watching more now!
Dictation isn't a thing in OSX yet? Windows has had it since at least Vista, I remember fooling around with it when I was little
__init__ it is, fn key twice
@@scottbrady6795 huh ok
I agree. Pretty neat.
Are these individial apps coming to windows?
iTunes will still be used on Windows if that’s your question.
Unfortunately, AdGuard Pro is currently incapable of blocking ads in a number of applications, the list of which is provided below:
RUclips
Facebook
Twitter
Instagram
UNIX Yeah im sticking with ad block plus on chrome.
Really? I thought it routed traffic through a separate DNS that blocked everything. Kinda like Pi-Hole.
@@abubakrakram6208 If you look at the company's support documentation, I copied it word for word what it said.
Voice control was also a thing in the 90s was Steve jobs was absent, it was a dongle and was pretty neat
So with iTunes going away how do you backup your iPhone/iPad to your Mac?
via Finder -> Back up, update, and restore through the Finder
Each time you connect a device, you can find it in the Finder sidebar.
Anyone notice the flickering at 3:25 on Quinn's MacBook Pro?
True
Never clicked on a notification so fast
My man!
Hi Quinn what year is your MacBook Pro?
What app do you use for reminders Quinn?
i'm amazed at the low latency .... is this because of the apple chips they use ? cos on my apple TV 4K there is a bit of latency..
btw , i'm just curious, does in the USA in 2019 you still have Data plans for home network ? ( cos from were i came from internet since the first DSL provider came around has always been unlimited ) and nowadays it's similar for 4G , or 3G back in the day , for like 15,99€ you can have unlimited data , i used more than 1,80 Tb of shared 4G date with my imac for my iphone in january cos i was moving ^^ so is data plan still a thing in the USA nowadays ??
Will this version support the 21.5" iMac 2015?
Great review on new features! Thanks for describing requirements for Sidecar, wasn't able to find it on the internet
Does sound transmit through Side Car to the iPad?
Nope.
I hope they add dictation to the touch bar, it would be nice to have that as a quick access item
