I just submitted the same question about FB live to the same FB group that you use a few minutes ago before watching your vid...lol. I wanted to use FB Live for a wedding that I have coming up, but of course the key is too long and you explained why. I will simply use youtube live streaming instead. I've used it a few times for my own channel, so I know it works well. Anyway thanks for the info. Great vid!
Thank you for sharing, great explanation! By the way, the Facebook Live function will come to the GY-LS300, as it is now on the GY-HM250, GY-HC500/HC550. It will be a free firmware update, currently planned in September 2020.
The default password is 0000 I think and username is jvc. However you can't get to that site without knowing your own camera's IP address. The JVC site is actually better described as your camera's specific web site.
Thank you for posting! Just answered my questions about my 300. Now to see if the WiFi dingle I just ordered has same chipset as older dongles listed. Will try the restream software as well. Thank you again.
Hey thanks for an informative video. I have a question, if you go live with this camera can we change the settings to a Mobile video setup like portrait mode? So even we go live on FB or youtube but viewers see us on their mobile on portrait mode it looks good?
No, I'm fairly sure there is no way to do that. Mobile phone cameras, yes. This kind of true video camera, no - they do not have that functionality. Sometimes I have seen cameras turned 90 degrees during filming to capture in portrait - but this footage is then 'corrected' in editing software during post production by creating a 1080x1920 sequence. It is not something that's done in a livestream.
Not sure I fully understand the question - sorry. But if you mean can you connect the camera to wifi rather than a wired connection - yes, absolutely. But as detailed in the video, it only works with certain wifi dongle adapters.
I think that means the camera cannot start to stream because the network connection has not been made properly. Or if it has, perhaps the destination server details have not been entered correctly? Whatever the case there is something stopping the stream starting. The yellow chat bubble is the error message I think.
I appreciate this video. I'm going to purchase the JVC LS30 because eventhough it's a little long in the tool in age. The feature set of the camera is still powerful in my view. S35 sensor, interchangeable lenses with Variable Scan, the streaming part you spoke of and on and on. This was a $4K camera when it came out and now you can grab it for $2K. That's why I'm getting it Thank you for sharing this part about streaming. I'm hoping that the dongle part will work along with some of the other streaming support platforms. Aside going live with our upcoming channels, we use OneStreamLive to stream 'recorded' stream across to up to 40 platforms. If you'd like that type of potential, use my link to get it at onestream.live?deal=creativehill You spoke of Restream and they do the live-streaming part. I may just use my 8K LG v60 to see what goes. Either way, it's exciting time with all of this tech. Thanks again for your video. It helped me.
Delighted the clip was of use. Thanks for the nice words, much appreciated. If I look into One Stream I'll use that link. Hope the camera works out for you. I bought mine used and it has proved phenomenally good value for 💰 just for my corporate shoots, never mind the streaming functionality.

My pleasure. I really like this in-built functionality - especially since capture cards have been scarce and expensive.
Also very good news on Fb Live update. Thank you for the information - I will share.
Excellent video! You answered all my questions and explained everything I needed to know!
Great to hear, glad it helped Robert.
Really great information. You saved me a lot of time getting my LS300 set up for live-streaming. Thank you so much!
No problem at all. It's good to avoid little hiccups you don't know about, they can be frustrating when you try to livestream.
Carlos - this is brilliant - thank you for taking time to make this quality video.Just ordered the wifi dongle you used.
1 question-where do I get the password for logging into the JVC site
No problem at all. Really happy it was useful.

@@FeelgoodFootage thanks! - got it all sorted yesterday - works a treat though I'm not happy with Twitch's T&Cs so haven't signed for that .
@@TagliaTellyTimTysonShort Great. Yeah, it's good to have the option but if doesn't work for you people can just pick n mix from platforms.
Really interesting stuff Carlos, thanks for sharing
My pleasure. This would have helped me a couple of months ago so hope your will help others going forward.

No problem at all. I knew there would be people who would appreciate the info so delighted it's reached you.
Wau amazing zolution working on jvc gyhm200u
That's great. Good to hear
Thank you for this video. Do you know how to connect the JVC camera to an iPad and streaming using Melon App?
Thanks for the comment. I have no experience of this I'm afraid.
Brilliant video. Thank you.
Thanks so much for the comment, Matt. Delighted it was of use.

Does the LS300 stream properly?
I have heard reviews saying that it is glitchy when streaming.
Streaming performance depends on a reasonable internet connection. I've never had any issues with the camera.
Can we connect the Wi-Fi network connection with JVC camcorders, sir? Now a Days Data card with wi-fi is more in use. that is why I am asking.
Not sure I fully understand the question - sorry. But if you mean can you connect the camera to wifi rather than a wired connection - yes, absolutely. But as detailed in the video, it only works with certain wifi dongle adapters.
The "live" symbol is yellow with a chat bubble when I try to stream. I'm not able to find what that means.

0:15 No external hardware required... 4:19 Need a Wireless USB adapter... 🤔
