  • light weight articulating Wings tutorial for my dragon costume. really cheap (it cost me only the pvc, nuts and bolds) and you can fit them in a suitcase!
    I am in no way a professional. I can only try to explain how I personally make my costumes.
    I learned mostly through trial and error so explaining this process can be hard. If you have any questions or requests, please let me know in the comments below.

    • @CreativeChaosCostumes

      Hi! It really depends on how big you want your wings and in what lengths your store sells the pvc. I would measure the length you want them and then go to the store to see how many pipes you need. The minimum length here is 2 meter per pipe I believe?

    I dont know if you will reply, but how did you connect the wire exactly? I've watched multiple times and i cant figure it out 😖
    Please explain?

    • @CreativeChaosCostumes
      @CreativeChaosCostumes  Год назад

      Hi, not sure if I can explain it clearly but I will give it a try: I took the long/outside wing pvc pipe (the one that hangs down, not the one connect to my back) and in the top part I made a small hole. I put the fishing wire trough the hole and make a few knots. That it. That is how it is attached.
      When I just pulled it the wing wanted to go outward a bit. That is why I added the eye screw to the middle of my harness on my back. You need to be able to have the wire run from the point of the wing and stay in the middle of your back.
      Hope this helps

    • @CreativeChaosCostumes
      @CreativeChaosCostumes  4 года назад +1

      Most of my tools are from aliexpress, and not expensive at all! If you don't have the tools you just need the creativity to come up with some solutions :D
      Pvc can be cut with a hand saw, I have even used a sharp kitchen knife in the past. If you don't have a heat tool try an iron! You don't even need to flatten the pipes, but it makes them harder to hide. So you may need to change your outfit a little. You can hand sew if you don't have a sewing machine etc.
      My tutorial only shows you how I did it and serves as inspiratie for your own creations. You can make stuff as cheap or expensive as you want. It is al up to you, your creativity and imagination ;)
      So yeah, cheap! But thank you for the comment.
