Finally a easy dragon wing tutorial!! I’m obsessed with both dragon wings and fairy wings too. I can’t wait to see what you do regarding jewelry!!! The more tutorials the better. Great job! I love all of your videos. 😃
I can see you getting really into wing creation in the future as well. There are just so many ways to do them and so many fun products out and coming out yet!
Maybe for your next set, try florist cellophane? It tends to be thicker, which means you would only need a layer each side of the framework, and it comes in a large of colours and designs.
Omg these are amazing!! I'm so excited to try and make my own ones cuz I adore dragons and you're right, these can be adorned in a million different ways!! So exciting 😁 thanks 4 sharing your great idea! ❤️
I've made my own wings in the past and I love seeing what techniques others use to help me in the future. For instance why did I never think if packing tape? When I've burnt my edges they have a tendency to break apart after wearing a couple times. I'm hoping a little tape can save my favorite pair that became a decoration when I started seeing the little holes and didn't want them to fall apart anymore than they already were. Love your videos hun. Keep em coming. XD
These dragon wings look very doable. Thank you for this video! I’m planning on using this technique to make thestral wings for my daughter’s pony. Wish me luck🤞
I think copper or bronze would be perfect for them.....thank you so much for the video I've searching for a wing video to in the future make a dream catcher with them so this will help immensely. Keep up the good/beautiful work.
Awesome wings. For the future you should try to find a fabric called "tissue lamé" . It would be ideal. Also if you have discount stores like Christmas Tree Stores, look for inexpensive floor to ceiling curtain sheers. I use them in my bathroom to hang in front if my tub and to give the room color. I have a lovely pair of green/gold that just shimmer and are see through such a thin fabric, but its synthetic, like polyester, and its strong. They would be stunning wings on a green or brown beastie. But if you can find tissue lamé you should be able to find gold. And hopefully many more colors too.
Thanks! Been stressing about making dragon wings for my 4yo's Halloween costume and found your video, and they were so easy! Used 10g armature wire and have just finished the boning in about an hour. Watched the video first on mute and again with sound, so I'll just use 2 cellophane layers and a hairdryer! I'll tag you in finished product post!
These are so awesome, and I can't wait to show my girls this video. Halloween is a big deal for my family and new costumes are usually always a topic when we get together so knowing how to make these wings is great. Only problem is that I usually end up being the creator of them all, LOL!
These are awesome!! I wonder if some air dry paper clay might look great, or even be strong enough to work for the 'thicker' parts on your template. This was very informative and inspiring. Thank you! ❤
This is fantastic!!! Loved watching your process from blueprint to finished dragon wing. Hilarious and inspiring how a clock and a pilates ball can make dragon wings soar -- thanks again for the great tutorials.
Awesome. I like the wrinkles they look like little veins and stuff. One day I'd love to make full body size angel/bird wings. Only ever used wire and liquid latex to make bat/dragon/demon wings though. This looks maybe quicker and less fragile.
I am going to try and make demon wings with leather or faux leather, air dry foam clay and wire just a heavier wire than you used in this video. But this video is going to be my starting point.
Haven't been by in a while, look at you, over 100,000 subs and you craft room looks so nice and organized! Congrats on all of your success! Nice wings! Hugs!
Yvonne Williams hehe glad you like it! 🌸 for me it's usually those unexpected little things that, when working around them, you can create a happy accident
quick question? How would i go about coloring the wings? I'm looking to do a Cynder cosplay and the membrane is like a maroon and the bone kind of part is a deep purple?
Hi!!! I'm taking part in a musical: Shrek!!!! AND I'M THE DRAGON sooo my wings are gonna be these, they are amazing, something you wanna reccomebd me before doing them or buying the material?? Pd: Seing you from Spain💓
For three months I had been searching for a Halloween costume And exactly two days before Halloween I get one XD I was watching yt and then I fell asleep and when I woke up, this vid was playing, Imma be a dragon for Halloween ÙwÚ XD
thank you ...I like the aged look and the only thing I would look to add would be some blood veins within the membrane ……. I have dolls and this would adapt to resizing the project to them well ……. you should make doll / baby sized to sell at some point IMO
I was wondering if you could just machine sew around the edges of the wires with a fine needle and thread to hold it all together instead of the tape. You could maybe even sew "veins" ?

The wings look fantastic, I need some for Rak the dragon from Yellow Brick Road, but not so sure I have the skill. Thank you for the inspiration. Jim

The thumbnail of the wing is very interesting and made me want to click. I think many other people thought the same thing.
True it did
I did
Omg that’s so wonderful, your super creative
Could you decorate it with like paint or marker?
Excellent! I'll be attempting wings for my costume this year. I'll be Cthulhu.
Thanks for the great tutorial!
Halloween’s coming so this is berry helpful.

Amazing job! Thanks for sharing!
Hey cool stuff yvonne, love your channel!
A bit of paint or even sculpey would work well to add dimension to these....more flesh along the bones, claw-tips and such.
Haven't been by in a while, look at you, over 100,000 subs and you craft room looks so nice and organized! Congrats on all of your success! Nice wings! Hugs!
I liked your way of speaking and your voice
Lovely video and an easy build! I would have created lowlights in the wrinkles to make them look like veins🖤
ooo, thats a lovely idea!!
Yvonne Williams hehe glad you like it! 🌸 for me it's usually those unexpected little things that, when working around them, you can create a happy accident
As much as I love this video, I am really looking forward to the sequel!
It's cool and complex, but give me a good idea to make my wings

Small dragon wings could look really neat on a headdress

The way the pitch and key of your voice is the same in all of your intros is so aesthetically pleasing 😂
So super cool!
Love the wings, how do they stay on?
What is this yellow plastic you put on the wing?
It was great work 😍😍

Your dreads are beautiful ♥
You know Yvonne I've been following you for like 8 years
This is beautiful, may I know the materials that u used?
to be honest when you hammer the wire its a really good asmr
Fab as always
Nice! I guess that’s the other alternative for articulated wings with the pvc pipes
I'm thinking of making Faerie wings to wear at Lockn this year...they'll need to accommodate dancing, though. Any suggestions?
quick question? How would i go about coloring the wings? I'm looking to do a Cynder cosplay and the membrane is like a maroon and the bone kind of part is a deep purple?
Wow Yvonne! This looks amazing! I love your work- Where do you sell your work? Do you have an online store?

Your wings are really nice ! How do you manage to keep them maintained on your back ?
What is the name of the cellophane that you used ? Thank you :)
Do you have a link or recommended source for the powered uv pigment that you used on the wings?
Could this work for a Morrigan (Darkstalkers)cosplay?
Very cool!
this looks great! would you suggest two layers of cellophane instead of 3, or do you think that would be too weak?
Thanks! I think 2 would have been better, especially for a smooth wing
Hi, are you based in LA? I need some and wanted to ask if you’d make some for A character in my upcoming showcase?
Where is the list of materials? You said it's in the description, but I found no list of materials.

How about seeing the finished product … after the add-ons mentioned…?
Ty
Awesome
this is really cool thank you
Do you think fabric would work with this or would you need a heavier gauge wire?
Hey, Dawn! Fabric could work, but i rolled reccomend a heavier gauge wire for sure!
What’s that yellow paper
I was wondering if you could just machine sew around the edges of the wires with a fine needle and thread to hold it all together instead of the tape. You could maybe even sew "veins" ?
What paper did you use?
