ahh bad luck bro, you're having just as much luck as me at the moment. You should expect your compression to be higher than when you built it as the rings would have seated themselves now, so that's why you're seeing higher compression. Fingers crossed its just the head gasket, i may be doing the same thing next weekend too. Also, why trouble shooting my possible head gasket issue, i noticed that if you drain the oil cooler you get most of the water out of the block which is where it will be filling the cylinder from most likely. Good luck and eagerly waiting for the next video
I forgot to say in the video i put some oil down the bores so could also be that sealing it better. Cheers bro should have the head off in the next week or so 🤞
Gutted for you Fingers crossed it's a head gasket and nothing more. I'm sure you will come back stronger :) You have one very special car there, don't loose heart with it.
Possible that you lifted the head oh the last run and that pressurised the cooling system, then that popped the coolant pipe off and spat coolant over the intake and into the cylinders. What a chain of events!
Yep could be a possibility! More im looking into it the more im thinking the head gasket went first and the cylinder pressure popped the pipe off. I have arp head studs/nuts and im only running 1.7 bar so shouldn't really have lifted the head but its always possible. Hopefully have the head off in the next week or so 🤞
@@dkautos Yeah you wouldn't think it would lift but maybe you had a boost spike... Monitoring the coolant pressure seems like a smart thing to do. Also when you get it back on the road you can get those coolant tester kits to see if the coolant has exhaust greases in it after a first few big runs
fingers crossed it is just the head gasket thats blown🤞 been following the build since day dot cus i wanted to build a turbod r32 but didnt know how crazy of a challenge it would be. Ended up getting an edition 30 close to a year ago now, but what an animal you put together.
Thanks for the support 🙏 Ye it's alot of time and money sometimes i wish i went with something with bolt on mods. Will all be worth it in the end hopefully
Gutted for you, hopefully it's just the head gasket like you say. I wondered what happened as i had to do a lone pass so they could clean up the right lane. Hopefully it's not to costly of a repair Nice car by the way
Cheers mate. Unfortunately its more than just the head gasket i need to strip the engine video will be out over the weekend hopefully. What car were you in? Thanks 👍
Bummer..
Ahhhhhh hopefully
It isn't the worst bro 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿👊🏿

@@dkautos good luck bro. I suspect you blow the gasket during the run which then pressurised the coolant causing the pipe to pop off.
Gutted for you

We will know soon enough will have the head off by the end of the week. Thanks for the support 🙏
