Have you dyno??I'm curious about the turbocharger's response time
Do you think you can make a video dedicated to the quick release bumper?
On the rear R32 caliper. Did you have to plug off or block off any ports on the caliper itself? Then only run the parking brake cable to that caliper and done?
How did you make the rear calipers work without oil pressure i cant get the air to build up how u do it
You need brake fluid to the caliper ypu take the brake line from the original line the smaller caliper it's just for handbrake which is cable
@@dkautosya sorry i meant the handbrake cable how you get it to work without oil i read on the manual of the kit i bought it says not to use oil for the handbrake just the cable and im assuming it builds pressure to with like air to push the piston is that right?
@GlanceHD ye if the piston is all the way back you need pressure to push it put before the handbrake will work I had this trouble. I actually put a grease nipple in the bleed screw port and pumped grease in to push it out and will also stop is seizing

How does it boost? Ive an R30 build and chose the same pulsar G40-1150 turbo for it?
Better than I thought it's very progressive and just keeps pulling. I had a GTX3582R before that spooled really quick but then went flat and felt restricted the G40 takes abit more to spool but comes on very progressive and pull well all the way through the revs
I was G35-1050 on a 2.9 12v then switched to 3.0l 24v with the G40-1150. I fell the same about the G35-1050 it felt almost like a small turbo that made loads of low down boost /torque

Yesssss. I’ve found you. Hope you’re keeping well man. I love this 32 mate. Been following you on Instagram. I’m currently in the process of sourcing a low mileage R32, and have been on the phone to Rushworth today about the build. I’d much prefer to build it myself but the 470 kit from HPA is £13k. For 12k I can get it built, albeit slightly lower spec, but it’s basically drive in drive out and go rip up the tarmac. What would recommend I do. I’m a painter by trade but am very mechanically minded and able to have a go at anything. Again, I love this built, really bang on mate. DQ500 in my opinion is definitely the way forward for these engines specs.
Ye im good mate. I wouldn't go hpa it is way over priced you can piece together a much better kit for less. I know a lad who used Rushworth and he's been really happy with it. I think you should just have a go yourself
@@dkautos yeah man, I’ll speak with Rushworth again, obviously if I’ve got diagrams and tech specs etc, I believe I could definitely do it. And I’d imagine they’d provide technical support. So how long have you ran your R32 for with turbo set up? How many miles and what’s your driving style mate? Your car is perfect man, must have taken you a long time to get where you are. Love it.

Yes the block was originally designed to be a diesel hence why its pretty strong

Nice build! What coils are those? Were you getting misfires on stock coils? Supercharged Mk4 R32 here and after a new 65w fuel pump I still cant go WOT without sputtering/ hesitating
They are R8 coils. I never tried with stock coils to be honest I did these as they look bettwr and keeps the wiring loom cleaner
The build is looking amazing! Something I'd love to do myself on my R32T. I have a few questions if you don't mind? Can I ask for the parts numbers of the driveshafts (assuming they aren't custom?), and flywheel? Did you get your bell housing machined for the spacer plate? What gear selector are you using? Are there any mounting issues with the prop shaft using the DQ500 transfer box? Where can I find the Pin Out for a DQ250 > DQ500? What TCU software are you using? Did you need to do anything in VCDS to tell the car you are using a different gearbox? especially if your DQ500 has 7 gears? I realise this is a lot of information to ask. Maybe it could be a video on its own. There isn't enough info on DQ500 swaps out there.
Are you on instagram? If you are DM me I can send you a photo that has all the part numbers you need luke_dkautos. Standard gear selector from dq250 but you need an adapter for it to fix at the gearbox end and also a transfer box bracket both of which are from bespoke partz Ltd. Bell housing machining and bracket was done by jaaat engineering but I think bespoke also do them. Just factory software at the minute will be mapped in the future, nope nothing just plug it in shows 7 gears supper easy. The pin out diagram I can sort you aswell if you drop me a DM

The pipe work just worked the best that way shorter pipe work and less bends. I used it this way round on my previous setup and my iats were perfect so hopefully they will remain the same but only time will tell

Can this set up work for an Audi a3 8p? Anyone help please
Interesting build. When you run high static compression 9.2:1 then you need to be super precise with your tune. You have much more leeway with lower compression. 1.3.5 run hot anyways so you need a richer mixture to compensate. An aftermarket ECU will allow you to get closer to the edge of knock to make more power. The stock ECU is very conservative regarding knock so it's a lot safer but power will be slightly down. I would run lower compression next time...8.5:1 or even 8:1 so you have more safety margins. Also use a turbo manifold that takes both lambda sensors, you need to monitor each bank to be safe. Good luck with your build!.
