    A valiant effort, sorry all of that hard work didn't pan out. Water to air can in theory yield great benefits: tighter packaging, flexible mounting locations, shorter/ more direct intake piping, higher specific heat cooling medium. But if you can't make your system stop from heat soaking, you're making a practical choice to return to a more proven air to air design.

      Thanks!! Yes definitely!! I think i couls have made it work think the biggest thing i needed was a bigger reservoir most drag cars use ice tanks but on a road car it just made to many moving parts. When my pump blew the fuse at the dyno i had no idea the water got red hot i could have caused real damage if it wasn't for my tuner setting good safetys in place. Air to air is just so much simpler aslong as your intercooler is good and you dont have a boost leaks thats it, the water to air you've got the pump, wiring, water leaks etc i just reached the point i jusy want to drive the car without worries so seemed like the best option. Ig i was to ever build a dedicated drag car i would definitely re visit the idea

      @@dkautos Yeah, they're really very different systems. An air to air system with no proper design, testing or engineering would be a disaster too. But there are zero moving parts and it's been done everywhere so the design is fully understood to everyone in the industry. Can't enjoy a car that needs to be developed forever!

    IAT’s is a battle I been fighting as well. Dont know about you, but It literally feels like I lose 60hp as soon as Im heat soaked. Im not running an air to water setup but I went to a vibrant performance front mount from a smaller EMUSA front mount and Installed an old “Coolingmist” water/meth injection Kit I had laying around from my old srt4. This helped out big time, but still could be better.

      Ye i know exactly what you mean my IATs have been my biggest problem constantly loosing power due to high temps and my tuner doesn't want to give it any timing due to IATs

    Garret water / water core is the solution

    • @dkautos
      @dkautos  Год назад

      Ye i could have made it work with a better core and bigger reservoir but i didn't want the hassle of worrying about the pump etc ive gone air to air now which is working great
