    After our last episode of OGSIXE we've been getting a lot of requests about traction control, so in this video that's exactly what we're covering. Traction control - what it is, how it works and most importantly, how to set it up.
    This one will get down and dirty with some pretty hardcore tech so if you need to grab a fermented beverage and find a to a quite place to follow along we suggest you do that now!

    That wasn't as technically daunting as i thought it was based on the intro - well done Matt, brilliant explanation!

    Very pleased with my Haltech in my BF... now with 435kw as opposed to 390kw before and standard pcm, it surprisingly feels safer to drive now with traction set up properly for the power it makes.
    Very happy customer :)

    I personally love the longer more in depth videos. I need to do the HP academy courses and just spend more time tuning.

    Why not use the DBW throttle to cut power? Also, is it true that everything in the bush can kill you? Can't wait to get my LS2 running the Elite 2500.

    My question is more about the actual hardware. I've not seen a ton of aftermarket wheel sensors, so I assume that people are using their ABS sensors for this? What if we want to use ABS as well (as far as I can find, VR signals don't share between devices well)?

    Thank you very much for this video! We drive an ELITE 1500...We have the problem with FWD that one of the rear wheels are in corners not on the ground... so it would be cool to have the chance to select the faster wheel of the undriven wheels as the main speed.... but I can not found the "Derived Channels" Page... does it only have the 2500 or do I something wrong? Greatings from Austria!! (Excuse my bad english ;-) I have done it without google ...haha...

      Ich glaube nur das 2500 gibt es mit der T Option. Müsste aber auch auf dem Cover des Steuergerät ersichtbar sein.

    Are there any future plans to allow direct adjustment of the PID controller parameters? And is there any documentation on the PID loop algorithm in use?

    • @mrbmw42
      @mrbmw42 4 года назад

      @Matt Wright Ah excellent, thanks! I'm not sure whether it's my preference, per se, but I do have considerable experience developing PID algorithms and tuning parameters in them so it's more comfortable for me.

    Is there a big difference when programming/ setting up FWD, RWD, and AWD vehicles. And can you programme a switch to turn it off or switch over to another set up aimed for drag racing or other racing?

    • @RacingPassion1
      @RacingPassion1 4 года назад

      We use in our car a switch with 6 different setup were you can set the slip you want... and a second switch were you can turn it of... (ELITE 1500) Also you can chance the maximum slip on different boost levels or throttle positions or road speed,...aso...

    Huge thanks for this explanation.
    How long is the power cut and how gradually does the power come back on?
    Can that be set? Would love to see a part II of this video.
