  • Plan B for today given the weather.. A horrible wet day so a diversion to Doncaster station to see the locos, light engines and class 91's passing under the cover of the station concourse in the dry.
    Generally a quiet day however some moves back and forth between Barnetby and Decoy including a few graffitied MGR's! Also 66730 returning the Whitemoor RHTT rigs back to York Thrall after the recent seasons leaf busting.

      And would look even better if they painted the front buffer skirts
      The same white colour

    Credit where it's due to LNER for those 91s and full rake of coaches in that livery. Looks and sounds amazing. Next time any chance of a quick close-up of the black shunter in the yard? (if it's still there)

    That's a decent zoom on your camera. The 47s are in a sorry state,

      That pair are sadly abandoned - Hopefully a use can be found for either ongoing albeit it’s looking unlikely.

    Beautiful loco's should be kept in service many more years ,not scrapping them.

      They will be in service several more years, the replacements have barely been planned

    Is that ol' 47714 still in Anglia livery in the works? And is that an ex Fragonset 47 being sanded down?

    • @trainsplanes
      @trainsplanes  6 месяцев назад

      Yes that’s 47714.. I don’t think anyone has touched either of these locos now in a long time sadly.

    What are those 466s doing there?

    • @protrainspotting7868
      @protrainspotting7868 6 месяцев назад +3

      The 466 is there for regular maintenance but the 465/2 carriages behind it are there as parts donors, I believe the carriages are from 465235 or 465250
