I'll never buy another Canon. This printer has been a headache from the start (not to mention the touch screen home button has always been broken..) This video helped a lot with setup. Thanks much.
They couldn't have made it more complicated. It would be great if the printer could just connect straight to the device via bluetooth or something instead of taking half an hour to set up.
I've always have been Canon user since Inkjet days, but this is so bad. BestBuy Gig guys can't help how to reset...called them, says must go to store,, now have to call Canon, the wait time is 45 min....

Yes, it prints that thickness without any problem. It even prints cardstock on both sides, however... don't do this until after you confirm that the paper and printer work correctly on a single sheet.

Finally got it done. Called Canon (after waiting for an hour on cell phone, no call back sys...), the default password didn't work for me, and there is a certain combo key tricks and need Canon password, to bypass all Admin stuffs. Phew,,, this sucks big time, as I have been Canon printers from dot matrix printers and loved my Canon camera, less expensive than Nikon, lol.

I cannot find out how to scan something and email it. I have tried reading the manual, watching people's tutorial videos. It finally scanned, but when I sent it it said there was an error (no error number or name) and it printed a page that just said error. I don't want it to print confirmations either. Why can't you make this stupid printer user friendly???? What a waste of A LOT of money!!!!!

If you download the cannon app you can just connect directly and print.

If you are still having a problem and use gmail you need to make some changes on your gmail account.
It requires you to disable the two step verification and also allow less secure apps.
