can I ask why your k2tog instructions are different for the cowl tutorial vs this one?

They both achieve the placement/positioning of the stitch. In this method, I found that my yarn was elongating too much when I moved the stitch from peg 1 to peg 2, then knitted peg 2 and brought the stitch to peg 1. The yarn I was using on this sample doesn't have as much "flex" as the one I used on the cowl, and to maintain a uniform stitch (not too big), I did it by 1)removing the loop from peg 1, holding it. 2)Moving the loop from peg 1 to peg 2. 3)Placing the loop being held back on peg 1. 4)knitting peg 1. It accomplishes the same thing, but my stitch now doesn't have to move at all.
