If I can fix my 40yrd slice, anybody can. The key is the right shoulder. Bring your right shoulder down instead of around your spine. A great way to feel this is to put your hands on your hips and tilt your right shoulder down. This creates side bent which all great balls strikers have. Now if turn your (right) shoulder around, this creates the out to in weak slice. You wanna feel as if you're bringing your right shoulder under your chin.
Very interesting, I got the same problem over the top swing. I hit my 5 iron between 180y and 120y. 🤷♀ Would this face control work also with the driver?
I generally hit my irons quite straight...(even though on launch monitor the path can be out to in 4 deg to 10 deg) my problem is shots tend to be high and inconsistent distances ie 120 yds -150 with 7 iron...
Many of the best players ever had over the top swings Watch colin motegomery....fades and more fades... Lee trevino same thing Over the top isn't bad or a reason. it's going short.... Great lesson to hit draws but its not absolute when talking about good swings and shots
Another way to think about it: Michelle Low addressed this about three years ago in a “fix the slice” video. Two things need to happen; the right wrist needs to be cupped and the left wrist needs to be bowed. Your player was focusing on getting the right hand on top of the club (cupping the right wrist). Michelle suggested a “reverse motorcycle throttle” on the left hand. Instead of twisting the throttle on your left hand down to speed up, twist up to slow down (bowing the left wrist). Same result, just thinking of it differently.
Turning your wrists through impact is just going to make most amateurs lose more golf balls. Single plane swing is the only easy way to improve if you're a weekend golfer.
Watching your great videos for years. This is the most important one you've ever done, in my opinion. Great stuff 👏 👍 Thank you!

I am going out to practice that now. Many thanks! From Australia

Why not start with the clubface closed at adders and keeping it there?

Yes that's me. Over the top breaker of wrist releases to early. Frustrating as heck
I started doing this last week to close the face😁

I'm good with club face it's club path that kills me.
