Maisonettes can have gardens. I have a ground floor maisonette and a large private back garden. A maisonette is the half way between a house and flat.
Thanks for that info!
thanks for the explanation! very easy 😊 just put a deposit on what i thought was just a flat before i viewed it, very surprised to see maisonette stairs to the bedroom lol!
Thanks so much for doing a video to explain what a maisonette Is. It made it easier to understand :)
Love maisonettes because it's just feels like a small house and have a garden too for BBQ and relaxing either friends on the summer,
They are more cosy than flats and cheaper than houses
There are definitely pro's to having a maisonette over a traditional flat. All depends on personal needs and circumstances really!

My 95 year old grandad lives in a maisonette on the top floor even tho his maisonette is very fancy and you enter from the outside going up the stairs.
Good to hear your 95 year-old grandfather is still navigating his stairs!
Keeping physically fit as you get older is key to a fruitful life!

Why is there always a washer but not a dryer? Where is the dyer?
Many rented properties in the UK usually only come with a washing machine as standard.

@@AbbeyProperty I see......so they will either have to hang the clothes out to dry, take the damp clothes to dry them at a laundromat, or purchase a dryer......
❤
Thanks.
How much would a 1 bed cost maisonette for rent pcm on average?
This would be very much dependant on the area, the condition of the maisonette and the current market
Nice that the English language ( i like it) say Maison ans Mayson like Mason.
It's an interested play on words.

@@AbbeyProperty yes it is like AI dAIly and dAY both AI and AY is pronounced like A
Its a French word though, Maison = House
Maisonette - Small house or dwelling.
@@lauren6889 depends where your from, the frensh they doe not speak the letter N
They speak it Mai-so. Every English country speak the letter n like Mai-son.
The letter AI and AY sounds like A dAY and dAIly. That's the reason boys and girls wil have the name Maison or Mayson. What i know is that in Canada there are people named Maison while Canada main language in English second frensh. This had al to do with the pronouncing. And because when te frensh dienst speak the N we should do it neither?
@@JohnDought Sorry, no idea what you are talking about. The fact is, it is a French word.
I'm currently looking for a room for a couple in Luton. Can you help please

Maisonette is actually a female version of a flat.
That's an interesting take on a maisonette!
- Abbey Property
I'm sensing maisonettes are more spacious than a flat.
This is typically correct as maisonettes cover two floors in comparison to a one floor property like a flat!
