Tuba Skinny is God sent. All my pain turns into joy within minutes everytime I listen to you. Stay blessed guys. Hope to see you all and thank in person.
That is the price of progress not a ounce of slack to be seen anywhere Tuba Skinny have brought N.O jazz to a fine art. Powerful preformence. Thanks for posting this extraordinary jazz band
@@porkbroth There are times when I feel Ewan's playing style is more appropriate than Craig Flory's, and he did indeed make a good pair with John Doyle.
I have to say that I prefer the version that you recorded in 2018. Admittedly, after you made this comment! ruclips.net/video/LOpD_L3hnAA/видео.html I prefer Erika's singing (although it's great to be able to hear both her and Greg), but the instruments and particularly Craig Flory are at their best in the other version
The way this song carries on, it really plays itself out like it wants, still there's a distinct color and voice, not only in Erika's fine pipes, but also in the trombone strong statement laying claim.
TODOS Y CADA UNO EN SU INSTRUMENTO SON GENIALES INDISCUTIDOS,PERO ESTOY LOCAMENTE ENAMORADO DE SHAYE COHN,POR SU DEDICACIÓN AL ESTUDIO DE CADA INSTRUMENTO QUE ELLA EJECUTA.-SON MIS ÍDOLOS.-
Very good, excellent, very nice. The Erika would also hear singing jazz adaptations of popular songs like Cabaret (Minelli), as time goes by, When the Saints Go Marching In, Please mr postman (Beatles), etc. I'm sure you would be if your Tuba Skinny hits the interpreted. Meanwhile many compliments and congratulations.
Indeed! In the fifties, I seem to remember, a lot of melody theft with poor lyrics tossed in. Aura Lee being perverted, by Elvis, to Love Me Tender e.g. @SAD!

Just, just, just - SHEER BRILLIANCE! Especially the final number which I have never heard before.

John Doyle stars in many of these lesser played numbers, great to see him play.

Wow! I'm just blown away by this band every time I hear them!
They are fantastic so much talent in this group!
Terrific play list .. many thanks ! Great to hear these 'authentic' numbers.
The best rendition of Untrue Blues that I've heard them do. Erika was in fine form on this performance, as were all of them.

"Tin Roof Blues ain't rare. 'Specially for the uninformed who think it's "Make Love to Me"
