  • In this video I compare the 20v Power stack batteries vs my 20v XR 5AH battery.
I primarily bought the DCF911 to combine it with a 20 V power stack. Ive been using the 12v dvf901 and its great. I mainly wanted exended battery life by using the DCF911 with a 20v battery. This is where I think the power stack batteries shine. They are much lighter and are physically smaller than the XR batteries.
The power outout seems to be the same as other 20v batteries.
    Thanks for watching!

1.7 is perfect for DCF 921 compact impact wrench … as u mentioned, it’s really not meant for constant high current tools like a saw or grinder.

Some have had problems with the battery latch release. I just got a combo kit that came with two of the 1.7 Power Stacks, and the latches were awful. Feels like ya going to break the battery trying to get it to release from the tool. If ya slam the battery into the tool, no problems. I sent it back. Ridiculous

5:32 - The "2X lifetime" claim is in reference to charge/discharge cycles. Apparently, the Powerstack can be recharged more often than the normal battery.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was thinking it ment they last 2x as long for AH rating

@@Mechanical_Mind you’re welcome. I’ve been doing a lot of battery research lately. Other tubers pointed that out. It’s time to replace my aging 18v batteries.

@@pehenry I had the 18v back years ago and I loved them. But the 20V is on another level. The current 12 volt batteries are good too

I've actually been using a DCBP520G 5AH powerstack for the past 6 weeks. I'm planning to do a video on it comparing it to the XR 5 AH batteries. I wanted to get some time and experience using it before doing a review on it.
While it's a great battery but it's heavier and larger than the XR 5ah. The biggest downside, in my opinion, is the price of the powerstack. I don't think the benefits are worth the extra cost vs the XR.
I do really like the small powerstack 20v
