Another GOOD video Dave! You’re a Beast lately with your Videos! Huge thumbs up, despite your hang up with chuck tightening! 🤔🙄😳😁🤗 The question comes down to Power Detect, vs Flex Advantage, and if you want to lug around a drill with that huge arse FlexVolt battery or not?!? Kudos for doing this video with different batteries on different tools. BTW, I LOVE Love the XR 6.0 battery. The Power Detect works with both the XR 6.0 and 8.0, so more versatility there. The reason for the power advantage of the FlexVolt, pertains to the three banks of cells. The FV battery can handle higher Amp draw. Look for the three silver strips running across the battery, that denotes 21700 cells used. The FV Advantage 999 looks a bit nicer, but I will be going to pick up a Power Detect drill kit, with free power planer, from my local Lowe’s tomorrow. $279.00. Nuff said? YEP! 😁😁😁
Stay safe, warm, and Healthy! Happy and blessed Thanksgiving to you and yours! 👍😁🇺🇸

You probably know it but I'll say it anyways, nice tests, but with the new drills whenever they fail like the 999 did with that speed boat, it was because of the safety feature, if you're drilling straight then lean it to the side on accident or purpose enough it'll shut it off so wrists don't get hurt

Ok sorry I'm not schooled on the batteries as of lately, I'm just only learning. This video is at least a year old.....I just bought the big dewalt impact wrench. It only came with one 4ah battery. Will the 8 ah battery work with my tool and also will the charger that came with my 899 charge that 8 ah battery. Also I bought a bosch drill driver...no hammer drill ...anyways it's an 18 volt that came with 2 2ah batteries. That was about 6 years ago, so now I see bosch has an 18 volt 8 ah battery and I'm wondering will that work in my tool and will my old charger charge t g e new battery, or do I need to buy the new charger as well. Hi, thank you for great videos. One thing, FELXVOLT 6AH still 18650 not 21700 but new look. The real difference between the XR 6ah and the FLEXVOLT 6ah is the number of cells in them. XR 6ah is 21700 x 10pcs, FLEXVOLT 6AH is 18650 X 15pcs. The only 9 and 12ah FLEXVOLT has 21700 in them. This is what DEWALT USA confirmed. By the ways, can you test DCD703F? it has problem on it's trigger but DEWALT just ignore it.

Workshop Addict has done Power Detect vs Flexvolt Advantage, and the Flexvolt beat it.
Do a Flexvolt Advantage vs Power Detect and see for yourself.
That Advantage is powerful as all hell with a 9ah on it. I don’t think red wonder hammerdrill stands a chance.

100% agree I own both and the 999 is a beast I don't think no 18-24 volt can compete at this time. And you need the flexvolt batteries with the 2170 cells for max performance

Мужик, в новых 6ач батарейках так же стоят элементы 18650. В этом весь смысл 6-и амперной батареи - она легкая. Не понятно только, почему нет батарей в таком же корпусе на 9ач ... или хотя бы на 7,5.

My power detect drill with the 8 ah battery vs your XTR. Loser has to give up their drill. Especially since the XTR had a hard time with the ridgid. I’m in Vegas or Yuma come on through. Well even tape it.

@@juanc5149 I don't own an XTR. I'm smarter than that. I've seen it go head to head with DeWalt. XTR doesn't have 8 ah batteries, so how is that a fair battle? Also; there are already videos of the XTR going head to head with other drivers. In fact: I think it beat the Milwaukee on VCGs channel.
