Thanks for being an early adopter and posting your real life experiences with the truck. This is very helpful for others deciding when is the right time to buy this truck or if it is not for them.
One way to figure out if your trailer applies brakes even when you don't push on the brake pedal is to make a run where you don't push on the brake pedal except to come to a complete stop. Do a couple of runs up to 70 let it region back down to 20 back up to 70 region back down to 20 back up to 70 region down to 20 then get out and feel the trailer brake calipers. My guess is if you didn't touch the break they will be cool and unused
Airstream trailers are 20% better mileage according to tests because of their better wind resistance. So i’m adding that 20% to your figures for my Airstream, and another 10% or so for having the tonnou cover down . Great vid! Although almost no one will ever tow with tounno cover down considering the range hit.
What would the range be for a comparable ICE truck? Sounds like the CT does approx 100 miles of range (give or take) given heavy loads upwards of 5000 lbs. Range loss is a given with towing. Is this a major surprise?
Towing a camper when it’s windy yes. But that’s any truck especially without sway bars. The CyberBeast does a great job though and pulls so effortlessly.
Personal preference. There is a similar low volume whine in my M Y when the accelerator pedal is used vigorously. I think it sounds very cool, like the future. For me it’s a feature, not a fault. I have 38K miles on a 2023 M Y.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll try to place it a little more strategically. Unfortunately the internet loves to steal videos and block out crediting and I’m just a small account putting a lot of time and money into some of these videos just to have it stolen. Will consider other options though.

Great video! Thanks for doing this!!
Hello from X :) Really seems like the range extender will help for legit towing.

🔥 cool video, thanks for sharing 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Worried about the range. Would be nice to have a feed from your trailer camera that replaces the rearview on the screen.
I wonder if a person would make like a ramp on the roof rack to push the air up over the camper if that would help.
My trailer weighs 4500 pounds. Do I need weight distribution?

My tonneau cover was down (as in closed) for all tests. I would like to do this again with an airstream.
Great video
Thank you
If the extended battery is only 50kw then I'm guessing towing will only be around 50 miles more or 150 miles. 470/3 is 157
This is why I think ramcharger is such a good idea. Don't have to worry about range towing.
If you actually do a lot of long distance towing, sure. But most likely the vast majority that worry about range, doesn’t tow far.

Range loss is not a surprise but charging times and having to drop a trailer every time is cumbersome. Doable but cumbersome.
I wouln't stand in between the truck and the trailer, there's inicidents of the pedal getting stuck down.
I’m aware but 13k miles and no issues. Must be a later production issue (even though the recall is for all ~4k Cybertrucks).
How did you get a Beast already?
Can you tell if you are pulling a trailer?

Does the loud motor whine get annoying after a while?
Not to me. Usually I have music on but can’t listen to music for YT videos.

It can't be loud. Elon says the magic glass makes it as quiet as outer space.
Is yours rusting?
No
mine isnt either. #1190
None of them are. It's rail dust.
😍😍
Hopefully another tow video soon
1% of 300 miles is 3 miles so a 1% difference doesn't really matter.
1.2Kwh/mile is 50% more than Model Y does towing a comparable camper....
Please move the text next time. Nobody needs to see that in the center of your face. Otherwise very cool.
