The jealousy towards Saudi Arabia is unbelievable, they have all the rights to invest and build business and economy but the west always feel butthurt when the east is beating them in everything , grow up its business
They are jealous because they couldn't able to make enough profit in this sector.
@@Leo-rd7dt totally right , they know this business is profitable and yet they did nothing
The east is operating on reality and logic, the west is now operating on emotion and feelings. Thats why they lose and the east wins now.

They started with ur country for the oil 😂 u know
It is called a cultural difference, but today somewhat everyone is afraid to say that. If i come where you live i will appreciate your rules,
Exactly. They speak like their model works while starting wars everywhere to enforce it and it never worked. They always speak like they have the moral highgrounds even though everything in their own countries is falling appart. Nobody agrees with their policies, the biggest joke being democracy as it is enforced today.
It is objectively, the mass ruling on the minority. And people have accepted that... False elections upon false elections, citizens on the verge of civil wars, sexuality problems, identity crisis, health problems, criminality problems, yet all they are talking about is muslims and how it works over there. @@abdshalash123 Being circumspect of Saudi Arabia's ruling regime is not prejudice against the Saudi Arabian people. It's a recognition of reality that Saudi Arabia's ruling regime censors and punishes dissent, criticism, and obscenity very differently than the U.S. government does. It's not the Saudi people I'm guarded against. It's the ruling regime that literally hacked Jeff Bezos' phone for criticizing the Saudi Govt (which the ruling regime denies). How they intend to manage eSports given this reality is important to consider.
What happens if a popular western gamer starts using their fame to criticize and embarrass the Saudi royal family? Western gamers are infamous for expressions of dissent, criticism, and obscenity, so it's worth considering carefully how the Saudi Government intends to enforce any terms and conditions of behavior if they dominate the eSports space -- especially when large amounts of monied interests are at stake.
Young and well-educated leaders aren't the source of reassurance you make them out to be - young leaders like Prince Mohammed bin Salman are internationally implicated in brutal censorship crackdowns, so It's not just a theoretical concern to be cautious.
If we were talking about any dealings with the U.S. on foreign policy, I'd be saying the same exact thing. Our government is infested with war profiteering, and much of what our politicians criticize Saudi Arabia for is behavior that the U.S. government also shares involvement in on one form or another.
I would love to see a vibrant and profitable eSports arena. It's not our people I'm worried about. Our people seem to love gaming and streaming with one another. It's whether our respective leadership can cooperate in a way where their penchant for reacting...shall we say "hastily"...is kept in check by mutual benefit.

37:45 "Human rights have a cooldown, its like 3 days" took me completely out of the video.
What a terrible thing to say, but it's straight up the truth --
Is it terrible thou? It's has a CD same with skills - for balance purposes
Otherwise those who would pursue human rights could ruin everything
its not human rights, its satin's rights, this is why here we don't promote it
Team liquid on that high-level, in-your-face, brutal hypocrisy.
The fact the Saudi dude was upfront about sportswashing. I respect him so much more than the Team Liquid guy.
I still dont know why you guys focus on the oil money so much XD like yea am not blind i know its one of our old major investments which genrated gigantic funds it feels like everything else we did, and do is being ignored because i'd like to remind you that its literally from the government making a corporation to do exsactly that, make money fund the country. Something i still dont understand why other countries dont do
Also saying its the only source of money cuz its the biggest is like saying(and i checked they are even larger than our largest oil company)apple, microsoft, nvidia, google and amazon and all of the major mutitrillon corporations are the only reason America has money
Well done Kingdom of Saudia Arabia 👏👏
RIP Sid Vicious🙏
I saw that earlier. Sad stuff man. I watch his wwe 90s run with hbk all the time.
and this was how i got that news now im sad he was a huge part of my childhood

Sid? you mean psycho sid?
Saudis have been trying this with more than just esports... they bought Ronaldo.. they also destroyed the pga by announcing the liv tour and buying most pros to that league. They kinda saved RL. I think its kind of a good thing
If I was Ronaldo I would do the same thing no questions
They're failing in football. Nobody watches or cares about the Saudi League. Actual fans see it for what it is, plastic sportswashing.
I am an American living here in Riyadh. It really is changing so much and the esports tournaments every year is amazing. There is so much to it and yall really need to come visit. They go all out and honestly, the Saudis are so incredibly nice. It is a month long of gaming tournaments along with gaming exhibits and concerts with such big names.
This's this and that is that. The separation between suffering of ourselves and suffering of others is clear as day. Nobody in a overwhelming majority is carring about other's woes.
And there is nowhere to escape from this now. Probably ever in our lifetimes.
The crazy thing is that if you continue to be logical but the rest of the world becomes illogical you in turn become the crazy one because you deny what everyone else accepts all of the sudden.
Companies: We do value the lives of LGBTQIAdsF and of poor and exploited people, and we strongly call the world to respect these values, and money money money money money money
If all he had said was: "We realize this may not be in accordance with our values, but without this money there's a good chance we'll have to shut down the company", I think most people would have been understanding of that because keeping a company afloat and being able to pay your employees bears with it some harsh realities sometimes. However, don't then start going on about how much you care about LGBT issues and DEI. At that point, everything you say just comes across as completely inauthentic. You're asking your audience to have your cake and eat it too.
If they can make it better then let them make it better
The diffirence in MBS response to sport washing vs Team Liquids response to the LBTQ rights, you can see whos a stand up guy and who isnt
Oh no, guess I need to change my personality to only care about this for the next week.
Don't forget to include the appropriate flag in all your social media bios too
Did I miss the memo is it okay to like Jack Black again or are we still outraged, I can't keep up with flavor of the week outrages anymore

They should make a Alladin game in Unreal Engine 5. Everyone would love them.
I remember playing the old one on ps1 😂

The famous Alladin movie is based on Iraq not SA.

If Asmongold can add a sword to USA flag i think it will be Frostmourne
Having the Saudis on your side in almost anything is a great attribute for any person, group, organization.
😂😂😂😂 yea ok. This is sarcasm right? RIGHT? Lmao
as long as you make them money instead of criticizing them, you surely won't get murdered and chopped into pieces like Khashoggi.

btw, to call of duty players, Saudi people are extremely hardcore players, so they definitely they can take over the esports, and it is NOT only cod.. but in most games they are hardcore players.
yeah the only thing your are hardcore at is spending your oil money on games which are pay to win :D
@@arshameghtedary344womp womp
Saying that Saudi Arabia has become developed only because of oil is wrong, there are a lot of countries with more resources than SA but still undeveloped.
saudi's invest really really well and that's why they are succesful. most of the major companies out there are either partially owned by saudi groups or chinese groups. facts.
I mean everyone who says that is giving a clear flag of "I hate because I was told to and did 0 research by myself"
Yea...people will slowly realize, that Saudis, and arabs in general, arent a lucky nomads with lucky oil reserves, that can do nothing once the oil runs out :D they know where is the value, and they know how to get it...thats what they got from oil, a bit of money and a lot of understanding.
are u under estimating saudi scientist and economists?

Ye, cuz if you look at their future projects like neom or that line thing it's safe to say they're pretty stupid
If investing in esports (a lesser watched, lesser profitable version of normal sports) is the best idea you guys can come up with, I greatly worry for Saudi Arabia in the next few decades.
Missed the point…saudis know how to spin money…not just know how to sell oil…no…they know how to spin money…i am not sure if you understand
Well done, KSA
"bobby's biggest L" sounds like a good comedy movie title. 💀
Cool, I wish the best to any nation that wants to grow.
The Saudi Arabia Prince is pretty much Kaiba. Slowly monopolizing the gaming industry. Imagine if they further improved gaming tech and some how create actual holograms with VR gear.
screw the rules I have money
It's win win scenario
Imagine if they start putting Islamic propaganda in all the video games. So based.
@janitorizamped if we got high tech gaming stuff I don't mind haha
@@janitorizamped Nah it's just about hosting these tournaments and talking all the money it's a really smart move tbh
As an Arabian, we are gaming🗣🗣🔥🔥 but unlike most we basically go incognito, online rarely use arabic unless its an arabic community so most people dont even know when we are playing
And as long as long as they dont throw our tradition i am in full support because if not for tradition there wouldn't be a difference in teams so instead of "KSA(or literally any country) esports team" its just "esports team"
Its not much of "representing the country" if they show nothing from it
The Antarctic ice sheet is actually the world's largest desert..Saudi Arabia doesn't even come close lmao

yall hating over "sportswashing" and a gamer investing in games in general but okay with sweetbaby and other similar companies investing. great
Am I understanding this comment right? Are you compairing a shitty gamecompany that are super annoying on Twitter, to a state owned fond, that litterally kills you if you are gay?
who is this theoretical person?
I have seen literally no one, say anything close to what you are suggesting.
Besides the point this is Saudi Arabia, not fucking sweetbaby inc. comparing People who make shity progressive games, and a place that has a functional slave trade seems a little fucking much…
People expected example for humanity and faith in God to step up and save gaming...
But it's Saudi's who is a protagonist now
People can hate both
I saw a person, but no spine in the CEO clip
26:10. You can click like nobody else can click. Got me rolling 😂😂😂
Where bobby kotic fucked up is the old saying "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should." Imo just because the cost of having a e-sports league is low doesn't mean its going to go anywhere if you throw barely anything at it. He was talking about how he could make it like the nfl and then didn't even open up the pocketbook to even try.
Ngl, this makes me kinda want to move over there since it seems that technologically and societally they are more "generous" to the average gamer.
Not to mention i'll need surgeries for sure at some point in the future.

the saudis are adapting, iran is gonna have nothing but hijabs in their hand
a lot of people are pretty fed up with the social justice crowd. despite me keeping my political views to myself, a lot of my friends are coming out with how much they dislike wokeness. so i wouldn't be surprised if people just didn't care about the human rights issues with saudi arabia.
The west commits human rights violations all the time and no one cares so I'd agree
Kinda interesting to see people choosing human rights violation stability instead of open-minded random clownery.
As people explained with USSR loosing to US influence "just gid gud"
People that are okay with some slave trading(as I heard people talk) soon would offer more than US & co. That's crazy...
It's just a sad state of the world today. On one hand you got people loosing more and more the ability to see any nuance and on the other hand you got extreme activists actually hurting initially good causes just by going way too far. And then this results in people just saying things like: "I'm so sick of this bs, I'd rather have some human rights violations instead". We all need to remind ourselves constantly to think more critically for ourselves or this trend will continue, and i don't like any of the possible outcomes if it does go on like this.
