For the first time, our Spy Creatures record how gorillas sing when they are enjoying their meals, and in a comical moment they experience the noisy after-effects of their vegetarian diet. In Brazil, Spy Jaguar Cub explores a beautiful gathering of water birds, capybara and caiman, and joins Spy Caiman to film a feeding frenzy as its wild counterparts go fishing. The reason for the reluctancy at first was probably because they wanted to confirm he was actually abandoned. They didn’t want to approach him and risk getting into a confrontation with another nearby group if he wasn’t. Once he displayed his respect and looked away from the alpha, they knew he was alone. It’s not uncommon for gorilla families to adopt baby gorillas that were left behind. Silverbacks are a very close knit species. The reason they take in newcomers is because they have a strength in numbers mentality. Babies are more likely to be accepted than older lone gorillas since they’re not seen as a viable threat.

It's so cool because it's literally a family dynamic. Baby on the mom's back is eager to play with the "new kid", but dad needs to check it out first to make sure it's ok! Then the kid goes and plays with the newbie, someone get hurt (like most kids do) and the kid runs to mom instead of dad! Brilliant lol.
