  • Working on my buddies 63 Dodge Swept line. Dialling in that stance, and ready to cruise! Not my best video, but couldn’t not make one! #dodge #d100 #ratrod

Love the truck! I ended up using a 78 d100 chassis to get mine low. But now that I have 20in wheels so any lower and I’ll have to modify the inner wheel well because the hood hinge comes down so low

Duuude, I've watched a few of your videos and like alot of what you're doing, but cutting from one shot to the next every second or two in the walk around is frustrating as hell. I watched this vid 3 times trying to freeze on different things to get a closer look but just gave up. Cool truck though. My kind of stuff

@@tunertorquetv I ask because I just purchased a regular cab V8 swb 1992 Dakota AND a 1964 D100 cab with the dream of this very truck , by coincidence like this one.

I can appreciate making this truck relevant again , but lowering a truck really fucks everything up. Drilling frames, building brackets, shits uneven, springs falling out! It just makes me sick seeing a rig ruined like this. An old 70s or 80’s you modify. A 63 I would keep a little more original. Just a thought 💭

@@tunertorquetv I LOVE the body, but absolutely HATE the original dead-ass, straight axle, drum brake, no handling, log wagon ride. So I am in total agreement on this, and just happen to have collected the same truck body and a V8 92 Dakota to do this.

I flip flop on this concept myself. I prefer real rat rod. It’s harder to pull off. Check out my truck walk around. I dropped the original axle with de-arched springs and a disc brake conversion that can be reversed. And as far as handling goes, I don’t mind the stiffer ride. It feels planted not like a log wagon ride.

A stock setup handles quite well. Perhaps you have worn suspension or need new kingpins?
