That's exactly the proof that is not the camera that makes the photographer. Great video and shots - as always!
man all these images are incredible, i would instantly buy a book of this work
Kasper Habtie seriously, that $5 camera is looking clean but that Leica... mannn
Unlike a lot of RUclips film camera folk, this dude really just has a great eye
Big facts
He dared to say it
not really, there are many great film photographers. You just haven't seen one yet, not in youtube at least.
陈威 - Guessing they’re talking about the youtubers that shoot without actual purpose. Bunch of videos of “photographers” taking pics of trees, sides of random buildings, blurry quick shots...
COMPLETELY AGREE.
can we appreciate how gorgeous maddie is?
incredibly gorgeous :)
Damn this guy has an eye for composition
i bought a point and shoot at value village for $4.50 in february and i'm still in love with it omg
that’s amazing!
Loved this video don’t sleep on the point and shoots
Exactly! People try too hard to have "legit" cameras. Point and shoots are a must for serious photographers.
@@thetonycam3944 why is that so?
@@blopp6240 been travelling the world all year and all I use is a RX100 V, enable S-log profile and the pictures have this film look to them, I really dont need anything else as a street photographer
@@nofood1 that's what I'm thinking film cameras is overrated last few years by RUclipsrs. You can achieve same look on any DSLR or mirorless and save time by photoscans
@@blopp6240 I think you're looking at it from a different perspective :D, what I mean is YOU DONT need a DSLR these days, this video is a testament to that, a $20 camera or or an affordable point and shoot can get you amazing results..... but I do agree with you that you can get a film look without film cameras somewhat
Love your perspective! Next challenge: take photos with compact digital cameras. The kind mom and dads use in the 90s to early 2000s.
Literally just received that one from my grandpa who kept it for a while from my mom - it’s basically new!
bro you're seriously so talented! you inspire me to create photographs that evoke emotions and moods instead of just following trends on instagram like everyone else
5:52 this one is incredible (it makes me think about a story of a men who lost everything in the last days of the earth)
hey i have this camera!! it was my mom's old camera, she gave it to me when i started film photography and i was blown away by the images i got with it. the focus was perfect and the images were always very sharp. really good camera indeed!
Can you remove the date stamp?
@@amarjobanputra3506 i assume you mean on the final pictures? i personally never have a date stamp on my photos (including those taken with that specific camera), I think it just depends on the lab that develops your film!
@sitarad: really very sharp? Can you send me some pictures? I just bought a battery for my mom’s konica. There’s an old film on it and I am excited for the results.
@@bethanymarian6629 hey! i can send you some pictures if you want yes!! where can I send them?
The photos are lovely. What you bought is a gem. I am obsessed with film stuff now.
sameee 😍❤
me. too.
Can I ask did the camera produce the images like that or is it your photo editing??
B T S A E S T H E T I C : it’s all about film
@@Sambathnita what kind of film was used?
I assume it was the film and the editing.
gia g I noticed that he used Kodak Portra 400 for the coloured images. Not sure about the b&w though

These really remind me of my photography style. Haven’t been taking photos lately so I’m inspired to get back to it.
I feel stuck between the present and the past watching this. Definitely a unique feeling.
5:50 dont mind him he's just vibin
lowkey thought he was taking a leak

Ugh I’m obsessed with the colors it produces.
r u fricken kidding me these pictures are insanely beautiful oh my god
The color so rich, it's like you bring the old times back. Nice composition and the way you play with all those highlight and shadow is beautiful. thank you for sharing, Subscribed. And waiting for more inspiration from you.
is not the camera, is the photographer❤❤🙌
We appreciate all the work you're putting into this channel, these photos are all so amazing! Keep killing it
i’m having a lot of fun with it! so glad you enjoy it and for sticking around :)
i don't mind not perfect audio or some. i just really appreciate your work and time that you are putting into this yt videos. really love your work! big big inspo in my new begging on photography and finding myself! still remember how carefully i was watching your vids on skillshare and try to lear some from my master..:D God bless you and your beautiful wife! take care Joe and post post and post i will be waiting!
Love the photos of the green park chairs! I've got no idea why but they're some of my favourite things about Paris.
its not about the camera, its how you works on it and the results always amazing!
When the videography transcends the content focus.
Bravo, outstanding on all fronts!
these came out so well, that flash is delicious
Places Des Vosges is an incredibly photogenic place for the right eye. Those shots were phenomenal.
I moved to Paris one year ago and DAM, Im so in love with this city! Looking your pictures make me fell in love again. Thank you for this.
8:31 I love that one! The cigarette just adds a whole nother layer to this photo
The Portra 800 went really well with some of the grittier shots of Paris. Nice work!
- fantastic work as usual my man. Looking at your images it’s like, the world brings you to the most perfect place for you to take the images and you execute well. Other people’s images feel like, the artists is looking for the images to capture. KEEP UP THE DOPE WORK!! Ima a portrait photographer mainly but you’ve help me grow an appreciation for street photos. 👏🏿👏🏿🔥
5:00 "lemme just head out... oh wait, photobomb"
Same, got an awesome Pentax with AF and zoom for 2$ here, took it everywhere Paris/LA/Tokyo/etc already.
By far the best youtube channel! keep up the amazing work man!
dude i love that point and shoot! i bought the exact same model from one of my classmates (i follow a major in photography at an art school) for 3 euros. i take it everywhere with me and it works perfectly, it’s amazing. so easy to use
I miss Paris! I was brand new to shooting in manual mode when I was last there and butchered so many of my photos unfortunately lol. I’m looking forward to going back someday. Thanks for sharing Joe!
Michael Freeland Last time I was in Paris I was brand new to shooting in general! I feel ya
Just got my first set of 35mm film scans back from Midwest Film Company and I’m shocked by the quality of photos a $15 Nikon automatic point & shoot from 2000 can get. Very similar to this camera, especially with that ridiculous zoom lens! 😂
The shot at 4:51 is absolutley unreal, cant even put it into words. Well done.
Recently picked up the Konica Z-Up 70 for $5 AUD from a thrift store and its honestly a bliss to shoot with!
Love these cameras so much!
3:59 best one, great frame finding skill mate!
You captured the grunge of paris really well! So impressed; keep up the amazing work! :)
Salute from Philly.....you can tell you thoroughly enjoyed the trip and it's so dope that you're wife was able to create with you!
can i ask how can the quatlity of this film camera so high?? im extremely curiousss 😢☹😭
Film cameras have been great for a long time. It was only a few years ago that digital cameras came close/surpassed them
Lucas well not really surpassed, but rather replaced. Digital will never “surpass” film
Literally my new favourite channel on RUclips... Such a talent Joe ⚡
thank you so much! very glad you’re enjoying!
@@ioegreer I was actually just watching your previous video earlier, it was the final encouragement needed to invent in the Leica m6. I shoot mostly fashion editorial on a 5D, but have just fallen in love with film after buying an A1! Let's see if my ebay bid wins haha
super relaxing video dude. I felt like I was transported right in. Could almost feel that light breeze on my skin.
You’re my favorite film photographer on RUclips. Your shots are amazing 🖤
You are incredible, I enjoyed watching your video and I pause on every photo that you took its amazing
love the last one.
One of the best decisions I've ever made is subscribing to your channel. Keep on inspiring us, Joe!
Vintage anything always just looks better.
Beautiful photos as always, Joe! $5 is such a steal.
absolutely!
wow so many good portraits
as a photography student I am very highly inspired thank you so much
I love this so much, thanks for sharing!! Always love the unexpected gems. My favourite thing is how the light reflects off of your wife's face onto yours in the last one, simply beautiful. :)
35mm just has a whole different feeling; love this video.
I always ended up watching this video
Sweet video man! All your photos feel like they have a story behind them, inspired me to start shooting more street again!
You’re so talented, you made my city look even more beautiful 🥰
DAMN Dude all your shots are just mind blowing!!!!
still new with film cameras but u just made me love it even more!
That avocado toast at 3:07 omg
I really appreciate how you don't always shoot on the best gear. Sometimes all you have is a $5 point and shoot and you have to do with what ya got. Much love
I wish I could mount a digital back on that nice camera.
you can! on some film cameras
I‘m still so happy, that you came back to RUclips!
Laughed hard when I saw: wrong just one
Awesome video dude some good point and shoots i recomend yall try is..
Pentax IQzoom
Nikon lite touch
Canon sureshot.
Happy shooting yall
My mom still has this camera and it’s now mine. Can’t wait to take photos with it now
8:32 - i was staring at this pic about half hours, insane!
As fantastic as the point and shoot photos are (especially the black and white) you can just tell that m6 is meant to be in Joe's hands. Great work man.
Visuals are so dope bro keep it up 🙌
Awesome vid man 🙏🤙 loved the audio and vibe so much when you switched to the m6. That track went so well with the sights! Best wishes from Upstate
Paris and analogue best combination
Commenting on Joe Greer’s videos till he notices me day 1
I absolutely love your videos🥰
Paula Duarte idem
love every single video of you, mate. Keep this spirit up please🙏🏽
I love this atmosphere so much thanks 💔💔
Absolutely love these! Great job.
This is so beautiful and inspiring. I want to buy one and go around photographing. 😍✨
You got so much style Joe Greer! 🤩 By the way, that moment where you’re standing in front of the mirror and dude walks in followed by the lady was so cool. At first I briefly thought that was a picture of you on the wall 😂. That was cool. Paris is always amazing to photograph...
I think camera does not make any differences. But you have a good eyes to ses a things in different way 😍😍😍 superb
i get by with my little olympus point and shoot and i love it!!
Love the shots!! 😍
Love your videos! Paris is stunning, can’t wait to shoot there with my Chinon Cs next month:)
What are the films used with this camera?
Was that Fragments cafe at the beginning? Such a cute spot!
That shot at 8:49 literally made my jaw drop. Like woah
Hey man that's just a superb work. For a Parisien the shit you made are just awesome. You captured it and gave it your unique perspective making it so much more interesting to look at.
The pictures of the Tuileries and the Luxembourg Garden, which is my favorite spot to photograph, are absolutely stunning.
Thanks for that, have a nice one, à bientôt.
I love that you film on you phone! Why use an expensive camera when you can just use your phone which already has good quality
yep, and same here
hey, i was wondering, for all these people you photograph in the street, do they realize you photograph them?
If they do, how do you react?
*laughs in amazement at how good the photos are* the usual.
Wow, even the blurry pictures are good. Good camera find.
These pictures are beautiful, all of them!
Typically thrift stores are a steal. Got me a Canon (can't remember the name of it) for £10 in the UK, costs about £80 on eBay. Also got a Sony Digital Mavica from 1997 for £10 and I just seen a full kit of that camera go up for £250, while averaging at £90 for a good condition one. Got a Polaroid One600 for free too once; said it wasn't working... it did, they just knew nothing about it. That's 100% a steal.
agree
hey joe! i have a question, with the first camera, when shooting, do you have to control like the settings? (F stop number/ ISO) or you just point and shoot? sorry if it’s a dumb question hahaha, also i really love your pictures!! :)
the last photo
i only purchased $1.5 for a kodak kb10 so i feel you brother. its a bliss
bro these images are AMAZING
Oh my love
Can Anyone list these beautiful music i would love to know thank you.
The photos came out beautiful
