    They will release a new album in the next few months, so keep your ears open. I have no idea what to expect but it will be surprising, it will be creative, and it will be special.

      Japanese Interviewer: Since all five girls are cute, each of them has a different character. Those who want to see idols perform can also enjoy (each character individually).
      MIKU: NO. Not just for one of them, all of them together!
      Japanese Interviewer: Kuruppo, you are a pretty good tactician. Clever! You thought of it. You really formed the band you wanted, right?
      MIKU: It's a Miracle!
      SAIKI: That's right!

    Band-Maid is a headphones band. Every song they do is worth multiple plays because each member is doing so much. Whether they're "just" in the pocket tightly supporting the melody, or displaying their unique talents in a solo, they make the extraordinary look effortless. Saiki's breath control and vocal control is exceptional. Listen to her and try to spot where she's breathing: only vocal coaches spot her tricks. Akane is the Queen of Fills, always in the pocket and she knows when to lead or drag on the beat, she is a drummer's drummer. Misa is the same way: always tricking the bass line into the melodic lead and conjuring up those slapping/picking magic tricks. And of course Kanami is utilizing every electric guitar trick in the book. Not to demonstrate her virtuosity, but to tell a story in melody. Kanami is one of a handful of guitarists that stops my heart and causes me to stop and catch my breath. Don't forget Miku: she's picking up the loose ends and makes it look effortless. She rotates between rhythm section, lead, and vocals, always right where she's needed.

    Yes, they are that good, and you said what I've been thinking for a long time. The whole package of Band-Maid is what puts them at the high-end of the food chain for me when it comes to rock music in this day and age. They set the bar in many disciplines. And you're also right that Saiki deserves the utmost respect just for being able to hold her own against the instrumental quality behind her. Are there technically better vocalists? Without question, but she is still a damn great front woman/lead vocalist in a band that is bursting with talent and presence. ❤‍🔥🤘🏻
    If you want to know more about the ladies and how they became who they are today, I can only recommend the documentary series on each of them by Ohrenje here on YT. Just yesterday he released a really great new version of the first episode that covers Saiki, although I have to admit that I miss the 1min30 'intro' of the old version a bit. :)

    You took a lot of words out of my mouth about this band -- how they make and perform music. I've found that although Band-Maid's parts are not the most technical in the rock/metal scene, what they do better than anyone else is figure out genius ways to merge those parts together into an organic whole. I always like getting the musician's perspective, so you got another subscriber. Thanks!

    There is no secret to success for anybody. Kanami works so hard all the time to compose her music as do others. She has an archive of riffs and melodies that she has not used yet. Her advantage is that she is ably assisted by the other members of the band. There is a good reason why she often just falls asleep some days or even back stage. Saiki draws the audience in because sings to them, not at them.

    Sad to see that the creator , leader , main lyricist , guitar and one half of the main vocals and businesswoman that made all this happen not get one ounce of love in the whole video. Miku made her dream and the other band members their dream a reality . She built the band around her own strengths and weaknesses . Saiki was not a mistake or just chosen because she’s cute. She needed to fit In. With the voice of Miku. She knew that and that’s genius. Miku is the standard of perseverance at its best . And let’s not forget after playing rhythm guitar as for any instrument for 10 years next to the level of musicianship in Band Maid. Something good is gonna rub off . Long live the pigeon ! Thanks for bringing your dream and hard work to us all. 👍❤️ We Love you Po!

    • @uffdad8211
      @uffdad8211 6 месяцев назад +3

      Wholeheartedly agree! Miku's role in the success of her band of maids cannot be underestimated. From pushing to get her dream of forming a new music group from scratch to reality in the real world shows her drive and determination to overcome numerous obstacles along the way to reach her goal. Nor only to reach her goal, but to greatly exceed it by becoming a key part herself in quite arguably the best rock band currently on the planet. If anyone wants to discover an inspiring role model on how to become successful in life, look no further than Miku Kobato. Pay particular attention to her masterful lyrics which encapsulates her visions of self-fulfillment through inspiration, dedication, hard work and persistence to meet and then exceed one's goals in life. Our little pigeon deserves much love and respect for what she has accomplished in the world of great rock music. Po.

    One doesn't want to single out any one member, but it's human nature to do so. You follow the one that grabs YOU the most. For me, as a guitar centric person, my favourite is Kanami, and I also focus on Miku with her development as a guitarist..... being that she started the band with "Absolutely no knowledge" of the guitar. The other 3...... MISA - one of my favourite bassists' of all time. Akane - one of my favourite drummers' of all time and Saiki - one of my favourite vocalists' of all time.... and with Saiki, she's not the "Stereotypical" high pitched Japanese vocalist... her sound is IDK, deeper, more range..... maybe more Western??'
    Are there most talented individual musicians out there....No. , BUT as a a collective, IMO they are up there with the best. Easily my all-time top 10 and MY absolute No:1 today. Check out Band-Maid's first MV from 2013 - "Thrill" - you'll get it.

    'Good' is their lowest standard as their compositional, songwriting and performance skills usually range along the Great, Wow, Amazing, Incredible, Perfection scale. But then they are THE best Hard Rock band in the universe. And in any parallel ones. Great reaction and appreciation and the bass covers are cool. MISA has many amazing displays of her skills for you to see.
