- There must be something in the air because it is like there is no end to the incredible rock music coming out of Japan right now.
@BANDMAID surprised me this morning and dropped a song that I was not expecting. "Protect You" is the kind of powerhouse song that BAND-MAID seems to effortlessly come up with.
And yes I covered the Misa bass line and yes I made up half of it because Misa is so good and I couldn't make out what she was playing at times.
Please support the original song!

Band Maid shows humanity what is possible. Band Maid Forever!!!!
Work rate...MISA already squeezed a 30 year bassist career into a decade with Band-Maid. Nice reaction and bass work 👍👍👍
Great reaction, just like all the fans, jaw drop, eyes bulging, WTF. Thanks for reacting to Band-Maid.
Akane is a Biest on the Drums nice reaction
Miku and that Zemaitis after the Mincho solo is so good. Her and MISA...
Proof that a smart guy or girl with good ears and knowledge pointing out stuff beats a slick green screen background and ring lights every time. Nice work!
Hear!Hear!
Very very true!
So true.
MISA, Akane and Kanami's formal training/schooling really comes out on these type songs. Kanami has so many songs in her quiver where she can pull one out, fire it at the girls and into the studio in a heartbeat......... I can say the same for Miku and her lyrics.
Ouh là là, Band-Maid!
Kanami is very humble. Most of her mastery is at like 2 to Akane, Misa and Miku at 10, and she defers to Saiki, obviously. That's why I love the instrumentals
Thanks Mota. I don’t take most slack jawed reactors seriously, but I can tell you really love them.
I’m really struggling to pick Misa out of this one. Like it’s blending a lot with Miku.
The bare armed assassin...
This is a theme song for an anime aimed at the French market, hence the "La la la la".
Well done. You picked out some of Misa'a parts I hadn't noticed yet. Thanks!
Kanami has been described as someone who has to keep writing music. It keeps flowing and doesn’t stop. So when they need a song Kanami scrolls through what she already has and choses one that sounds like it will work.
Wow, this is early for you...Glad to see it! Yeah, Nek! is fire too
Band Maid is the priority
This song is so catchy and yet so experimental! Love where Saiki goes falsetto with Islamic flavour, the little Koto or Sitar coming in after the first chorus, One of my favourite solos by Kanami and the final assault from the Band-Maid gang and what a finish!
Love it so much 😍
I love a prompt reaction Thanks
NEK! Is a good band too, but its BANDMAID!! 😂😂❤❤
Great content as usual! Protect You is catchy as hell, as you'd expect for an ED. But like you say, still absolutely standalone, patented Band-Maid awesomeness, and rocking. I kind of agree with your observation of Kanami's line (apart from the solo) -- you do have to lean your ear into the mix to pick it out, which is a shame cuz it's great. BTW, ever since signing with Pony Canyon in late 2020, Band-Maid's been getting more anime opportunities, basically from the anime wing of the company, e.g. Platinum End, Kengan Ashura, and now Grendizer U. Thanks for the playthrough!
I think it was a really important part of the deal. Mincho and Miko love their anime themes. And they pay well. Miku has even scored a couple of them for cluppo.
Great reaction and comments. The attempt at covering the bass was admirable. You have really good ears. Picking up the subtle details is no easy task. Cheers!
Thank you! My ears do all the heavy lifting here.

It's a conspiracy.
