It's weird how you start off looking how to build a carport on RUclips and end up watching a dude building a successful screen printing business. In the end I didn't even build the car port but binge-watched your videos and bought a damn heat press. Thanks dude!
Hahahaha... And so the journey down the rabbit hole begins!!! I can't even begin to remember how I started watching but I guarantee it had nothing to do with T-Shirts... maybe bee farming or food critics or lawn care I have no idea... lol!!!
dudes its honestly so fucking sick to see youtubers i watch all the time go from small shops to big fucking shops. you can see the joy and fun on their face is fucking sweet. Lee, Puddins fab shop, Cleetus
I think this is much better than the past videos. Not saying your editing isn’t good cause it’s always been off the charts but you being more on this side of the camera was a very smart business decision. The editing is still great and I feel like the content is better. This was a win win for you and your viewers. Congrats
I absolutely agree with you. The content is much better from this perspective and makes it more engaging. Plus he's able to catch things that just wouldn't be possible for me to do alone. I used to hate watching my own videos but I love these ones.
You are the boss , but your job is to solve problems, trust me! You solve more problems than jobs that run smoothly. And videos like yours show the true way we deal with things on a day to day basis. Keep up the good work and I love the videos.
Speaking from experience, no matter type of printing you do, machines seem to love drama somehow. When we've got jobs that we can take our time on, equipment runs flawless, then when we have a super rush job, every piece of equipment have a shit fit and breaks down or needs maintenance. Gremlins are real my friend.
I am happy you found the right people to work with you. awesome that the business is growing and there will even be more content. I do have to ask: can you show us some more of the business side of things? I enjoy the printing stuff, but I am especially interested in the entrepreneurial side of the videos.
The joys of screen printing when it rains it pours lol! That's why having a bunch of prepped screens is so important especially when running an automatic. If you don't pay attention it's real easy to ruin a bunch of garments.
Love the video. I love the shots of you leading the team in the morning huddle, interaction through out and celebrating on job completion. Has to be a great feeling knowing you can produce these videos without losing production time.
If you are still using transparencies - make sure to use a super thin line down the entire thing print so it maintains equal movement distance and use 3" rolls. I had the same issue with reg. You also need to make sure the off-contact is the same on the back and front with ROQs which can throw stuff off. Those were big helps for me.
Wow i learned a shit ton of stuff just by watching this more day to day vlog style video. i do embroidery and you always run into issues you need to troubleshoot and i can see its the same with screen printing. looking forward for more regular vlogs.
Absolutely awesome video loved it. To see you out from behind the camera loving life and your team working around you is bloody fantastic. It's only up from here for you guys and your going to need another shed bro real quick
Great video, editing on spot, nice job... Saw that you were little nervous by the team meeting, but I think you are a great boss 😉. Some notes on the sleeve embroidery, I think that logo would fit in the 4,25 or when not in the 5,5 hoop for sure... Much less stabilizer and the young lady can much better handle the lighter hoops.
Looking forward to the Standard and Procedure videos man. Those are always interesting and I'll usually learn about a new product or software or technique to use. Thanks for posting
Super freakin’ cool!! Thanks for making this… it’s like screen printers brain candy haha… freaking great quality video too! I’m super curious to know what frame rates you’re shooting in?? Great job to the videographer… all came out sweet! Keep it up!!
Lee, congratulations on your success, but there is an issue with this video. Now that you have a full time cameraman, that directional mic is not working. You need a wireless mic. I don’t think you need everyone mic’d but you definitely need something to improve the overall audio of the videos.
all i can say is this shows everything perfectly. just constant problem solving. and the easy stuff being hard and hard stuff being easy is too relatable. 👌
@@leestuart38 tbh that squeegee thing is the crème de la crème of problem solving. going through legit every option multiple times only to really have to investigate and see such a micro issue that is so out of the ordinary that you’ve never encountered and was actually a basic fixed but you would have never thought to check cause it’s so unusual. glad it worked. small things big impact. screenprinting is not for the weak.
Great video guys! The only constructive criticism I have is that you need a 3 or 4 TX radio mic system. I found the audio a little annoying to listen to, especially as you were turning your head away from the camera Lee. But that's it, awesome to see the business progressing the way it is🔥
@@leestuart38 same in our little shop! I got 2 starter machines that was brothers, bought a Tajima single head in January and in the works to buy a second Tajima single head. We don't have the ability to bring in a 6 head in our house and I know I could keep a 6 head going non stop if I didn't have a full time job on top of this apparel business we run
Ed used to work here as my press assistant so I knew he had some video skill beforehand. He made us a couple of reels for fun that looked great and he helped me shoot a few RUclips videos. When I decided to bring someone on full time, I asked him first and he was confident he would be able to step up his game to meet the level I needed.
The only on RUclips that I’m watching until the end 😂 you’re the best bro! Love to see your progress really inspiring💪🏻 btw you’re shop in Canada am I right?
Are you training everyone up from newbies? Setting them on tasks for a month solid so they learn that 1 job perfectly then everyone rotates for a month and learn a different job ? Stops boredom and by the end you’ll have everyone being able to float Or they all have previous experience? I’m wanting to take someone on soon interested to know how you chose staff
Way to go man! Been watching your vids since the first time your tried silkscreen printing and I knew right there and then that you'll make it big. Such a perfectionist. P.S. Shots are good. I just wish we can see some cinematic color grading for the b-rolls like you used to do.
The rush days are always the ones that come with the most problems..lol do you not tape up your eco frames? We are having a big problem now where the tape is starting to peel on the edges after washing and always setting off height detection on our CTS system.
We don't use Eco frames here, I hate those things personally. We use the Shurloc EZ frames, they don't need to be taped because the mesh panels have a protective strip built right in.
Your moire issue is likely due to the halftone pattern, interfering with the woven pattern of the actual shirt. Could be why it changed between your sample / between sizes. We use 25* angle in most cases, as advised by graphxsource, but I am in no means an expert on this issue... Moire is a rabbit hole when it comes to t shirt printing, bc you are dealing with the screen mesh grid x the halftone grid x the woven textile grid... Lots of opportunity for conflicting overlapping patterns, in other words moire
Yo Lee! What Mesh count you used in this 16:23 ? Thank you always for inspiring me, i started to last week basic screen print, I made a frame out of wood. Hopefully I can make this big as yours. Godbless man
This is great. I noticed your press has small decals on the arms near the micro regs. Are those labels for branding or do they communicate a process or training for use in the print?
Those are for showing everyone how the micro registration knobs work, it eliminates a lot of mistakes and questions, in myself included. I sell them for the big 3 auto manufacturers on the Rogue Lab website 🤘🏻.
Make sure the plattens are consistent. There are so many variables in print. I was a press, ink, screen guy for a few years then went on to signage and wrap. You’re giving your customers options in all of their marketing needs.

I appreciate it man 👊🏻
Yes he has!
Could you do a video on how you started this business?
Vidoe was great!
You are the boss , but your job is to solve problems, trust me! You solve more problems than jobs that run smoothly. And videos like yours show the true way we deal with things on a day to day basis. Keep up the good work and I love the videos.
Awesome video. Eduardo did amazing. This is the first time we got to see Supervisor Lee. Looking forward to the weekly vids.
Thank you! 🙏
That's a pretty dope thumbnail picture. It's like the School of Hard Knocks faculty photo.
yeah
the hardness of the squeegee will effect the print also.

getting a camera guy was indeed a great move. love this episode
better
So happy to have Ed back on the team and the camera out of my hands. Stoked to see where this goes
I love this type of video, a day in the life. Great video!

Your video guy did a great job… looking forward to the new content….
He killed it 🤘🏻. Thanks!
Love the new editing and don't feel we miss anything.
I love the new look and style. I would not have been able to do this by myself
🎉 Every minute was amazing great video. Home and business amazing
Thanks!

Yoooo! The graphic on your shirt is solid!!

Work ethic is definitely something we're not short on here 🤘🏻

Great job on the video and editing. I feel he did you proud.

That was our thoughts too after done editing lol having fixed rode mic’s on camera has challenges.
That's a problem we've been fighting and trying to find the best solution for. It's very different having to film 4 people instead of myself
Love the videos Lee! love seeing the embroidery machines rocking!

Glad to see u still growing and doing your thing 🤘🤘
Thanks man, always pushing
I really enjoyed the new content, Lee’s DNA is all over it…..
Glad to hear. Giving this up to someone else was really hard for me but I'm stoked on how it's coming out

New video guy killed it! Great job! Looking forward to the new content.
He did! The new stuff is great and is getting better as we make more. Thanks!
these prints aren't quality, they're perfection...
That's what we're always striving for. Thank you 🙏🏻

I'm using substance. They sell direct

What did you use to sharpen your squeegee?
Screen printing Letterkenny!
😂😂
I assume you mean the show and not the town in rural ireland like 30 mins away from me lol
@@XCPKieranj1X Yes😆 The promo pic for this video reminded me of the show

Yes we do! You can get a quote on the Rogue Lab website
Who hosts your website?
My personal website is built on Squarespace, my business site is on Shopify
I was going to say squeegee. But what do i know?!? Lol
you're at a point where it's probably cheaper equipment wise to go to Direct To Garment or Direct to Film .
It really isn't, that would cut my output by like 80%. Plus DTF is trash

Why do you remake the film for remaking the screen
You are wasting film
Film is very cheap and not worth saving
