It's not just women who avoid the wargame community like the plague. This game is right up my alley, but the edgelords who think it's just hilarious to throw the n-word around have kept me out.
I realize I comment a lot on your vids, but do you guys think if there would have been a push from Foxtrot early on, that Blue would've won? It's a strat I use consistently, immediately cutting off reinforcements from one sector and simultaneously gaining it, and then calling in the REAL assault force.
Capital ships do make for a pretty good AA umbrella. In this map you can drive one all the way into the harbour and cover parts of Echo and Charlie. But yes, pretty expensive at the cost of more useful ground troops.
On the contrary, using ships on this map can be game changing. On ALL my land based decks, I have two coastal supports with two infantry and a fire support vehicle, usually an autocannon, and I pull a little D-Day type thing. Yes, they could counter with ships, but whatever. Anyways, I always smoke the LZ, followed by the Fire support vehicles, then the Infantry and their support moves towards any buildings and boom, I have decent footing. I usually use shock infantry for obvious reasons, and often times helis can help.
Anyways, on this map, I play infantry heavy. Oftentimes I make a motorized and airborne combination push towards Delta, and hold with Infantry. Sending a rifle team infantry unit to the area towards (in this game, Redfor) spawn, and have them just barely in range of the road, so they wait and fire when the enemy is at that little area on the road, getting an effective side shot, while the vehicle probably keeps moving. I've done a lot of damage to super heavies using ambush tactics. I wish the town/city sectors were by building, so this could be possible outside of forests.
im thinking of starting with this game, but it seems to have a very steep learning curve. any kind of short guides you could reccommend? btw: groeten uit brabant
It does have a steep learning curve. For learning: check out my playlist of guides - ruclips.net/p/PLlSUA5AyYAoeDPCjR6weNeiXXJitl4dlc. They'll help you get started. Groeten uit Hellevoetsluis ;)
I don't like this map because of the way most of the center is blocked off from naval bombardment. Even if you can get supremacy over the waves, the only thing you can feasibly do with your navy is cut off the opponent's naval spawn zone. Any further investment is just a dead pile of points waiting for an exocet. I understand that leaving the center wide open would turn the map into a crapshoot, but it would be nice if there were at least some lanes of fire into the mainland instead of a solid wall of cranes and buildings.
30:50 nice
'but honestly, how many female wargame players do we have?' haha; tragic. but probably true
As far as I know, none.

Ah, tactical Wonson Harbor, lots of good memories here. Mostly with NORAD and Eastern Block motorized decks. :D
And always a player who wants to Napalm the shit out of you :-D
Some people just want to see the world burn...
Just let me have my moment...
Oh no, I have to get out the vodka now. consistently.
I'm surprised people are still making videos of this game. I'm happy about it.
Omg that first team 1 name
it was me, THK. Not a very well game for me though. I lost my challenger to some misclicks, but thankfully the team carried me.
6:10 the Tzefa 480 quickscoping the kom. Otdelenie was trule epic

What a game :O kinda glad those ships sailed back alive but in fire makes it feel so epic hahaha

Where's an F-111 when you need it?
Spatsnaz
Napalm so underrated. Blue could have used a lot of that to burn all those very expensive SF squads that pushed them in the middle
oddly enough Natasha and ASSSSS the 2 who went on that merry adventure were positive (slightly) but most of the mid players were DEEP negative

Why weren't the naval units in fox positioned to interdict that spawn with their deck guns? Or were they and I just couldn't see it?
Lol that bluefor team

hartstikke bedankt! toevallig nog een community die een noob welkom heet?
It depends on your type of ship.
My personal favourites are Harry Potter ships.
That was a cool and close match ^^
24:25 Rip in peace.
that overkill though
How can I submit you a replay stealth?
See the link in the description. There's no guarantee that it will air on Stealth's channel though as he gets quite a few replays sent in.

I think 'Korps' is pronounced 'Corps' like US Marine Corp.
Like 'Core.'
Ghost 993514
since Stealth is actually Dutch he probably knows how to spell them.
I'm Dutch, I know how to pronounce Dutch names ;).
Why didn't I think of that xD
Aaactually, Stealth, Natasha is female. FYI.
