@ Stealth : You are an exeptional commentator in the game (Wargame) and your taktics-analysis is awesome… I guess I will buy this game cause of you ;-) BUT if you are playing, you are not concentrating that much in gaming yourself. I´ve watched many of your Videos (and they are great by the way) and when you are playing yourself you are very often loosing track, cause you are overwatching your teammembers and commentate their actions. That is sometimes disturbing, cause viewers will think : "Wtf... dude, you had a plan 30sec before… what are you doing now?!?... have you forgotten?!?" ->for example in this game : when you got the Points for a 3rd plane and found something on Right flank to shoot at to aid the Team, you decided to look arround on left (Maybe to look for better target) and commentate those player-aktions. While doing that you totaly forgot what you wanted to do. So later on you got shoot at by SAS over those hills. Don´t get me wrong, I love to watch your Videos, but sometimes you loose track ;-)
I had chosen the MIG-29M because you get cluster bombs which can hurt vehicles better than any regular bomb what you missed in that situation and it has the long range missles and medium stealth so it can be a strike-fighter out of nowhere
Even if you supported your team only with the Air Force, that was a very nice round. But one question I would have Stealth. You have to admit that you were lucky that the opponent brought so little air defense into the game ?! To rely on so few expensive units is a bit risky ?! Nevertheless, please more of it B)
@3:28 oh French transports? Gotta be mobile SAM with them (Crotale) and then the one guy sends out his Peace Rhine, can tell he is panicked and wants to deny you the area, might only be only 1x mobile AAA, MANPAD or AAA at best (unless something is coming up in 30 sec) I miss playing this game even though it is fairly limited... Eugen needs to simply work on the engine, e.g.: - Basic QoL stuff such as: hotkeys to turn off radar sets, more color/better coded smoke signals for teammates, UI improvements - Simple RoE for units; maybe certain units like radar AAA, SAMs, units with ATGMs - More realistic tank ranges maybe? & armor penetration more like Combat Mission games. - I never liked ships, never played on maps with them usually... I'd rather have prop planes - In line with my last point, better emphasis on earlier 1960s units (more of them across both sides so it can be somewhat competitive), feels like this was better in AirLand Battle (but only slightly) - Spotting system to be slightly better (some recon units feel kinda meh) - Changing air system for fixed & rotary wing for generality of 3 or 4 heights, from hugging the ground to 10k meters (hugging ground, low, med, ?high?) & subsequent effects on AAA, radar, recon - Better pathfinding for units - Ability for SOME modular loads for certain units (fixed wing makes the most sense), but Eugen has said previously it would make balance difficult I'm craving Wargame: Red Dragon & Combat Mission. However on the latter part of that - from playing the demos, everything Battlefront has made after BtB & Afrika Korps feels kinda meh. Focusing too much on graphics & complicating their UI instead of core gameplay. I didn't find Red Thunder or Shock Force 2 particularly fun, kind of confusing really. Between camera movement, lack of LoS tool, and having Real Time + Plan & Go feels like they lost their touch. Or I'm just tarded? Not sure.
What does 10 vs 10 'tactical' mean? Does the 'tactical' refer to a game setting? Also how many points did each team member start with in this game? Sorry for beginner questions.
Ok I went back to beginning and saw that the starting points are 125 which is low - I guess this is what they are doing in a tactical game, starting with low points and trying to grab territory for more.
Also im like half a year late and u probably learned it already A tactical Game is based on Low startingpoints and a Low income. The Units are better to be Micromanaged because u have less to control aka tactical gameplay
Sometimes your Plane gameplay is questionable at best :D Without Ground units from yourself its...iffy sometimes. Especially iffy and *very* questionable when you have ground units at times :)
Mechanized focuses on IFV: vehicles with infantry and autocannons. It has decent tank support. Motorized is extremely fast but fragile transport and no tanks. It's meant to make use of a hole in enemy lines and push through quickly.
I believe the best way to pronounce Fedor is "Foxtrot"
