Brilliant guide mate i have a cupra mk2 and has the same fitment induction. The cover is a bit pain in the arse to get off though.

Hi, nice video,great! A little xpensive solotion perhaps?
1. Remove standard air filter in plastic cover at forst.
2. Also remove pipe and air intake box.in front of car.
3. Mount a new plastic pipe and a new cylindric air filter!
What do you think of my thinking doin so on my Audi?

Cutting the engine cover with a grinder removing the old intake, and using rubber edging to cover the cut part

Alex Hambly haha glad to have helped! To be honest the car feels a tad bit more punch through the mid range but a remap would fully get the best out of it! For now, the noise is something sexy lol :)
good vid, but does the plastic engine cover fit back on after install?
Thanks mate! Mine did not due to its size, people recommend to get the smaller engine cover from an s3 i believe as it still fits with the piping in place..

Nice video mate. Was looking for a video to fit this to my mk5 GTI and this will do nicely. Does the part come with instructions, especially for fitting the heatshield above the manifold?
comes with instructions but not really instructions on how to fit manifold...but theres loads videos on the youtube on how to fit a heat shield to gti so it should be okay because its a generic shape heat shield...
Do you get any turbo chatter/noise when you lift off boost?

Would it move a lot as u not supporting the intake ??
Not when I had the car, I can see why it works but I think angles of the corners and the front box around the Filter did well in supporting it, I believe a lot of the other induction kits for this engine have a hole on the piping to screw it to the rocker cover or somewhere similar iirc

Nice. Does it make a fluttering noise when you come off full throttle? Reason I'm asking is I'm looking the quietest intake available for the Mk5 Gti and this seems to be the quietest from all the videos on you tube. Cheers

It was that bad tbh, the hiss sound on acceleration was normal with induction cone kits, very sport and gave car deeper revs

Yes mate not that loud, I did receive the biggest cone so that would explain why I got a louder sound.
