Mann been dealing with this single little Bi*chass leak for 6 months keeping me from my R1! Even after replacing the nipple O ring and smothering it in fuel glue it STILL leaks. Realize now I think I forgot to put the 2nd O ring on the inner nipple piece 🙃. But there's gotta be a way to just drill a metal piece in place and call it a dam day. Ughhh Yamaha you sucked on this one! Great video bro. Will pull it apart again for the umpteenth time tonight and 🤞🤞🤞
I did see someone jerry rig a metal hookup on theirs when looking for replacements on ebay. What do you mean second o-ring? I plan on attempting this since mine is leaking really bad
@@MrHalfanEar I did see some with a metal bung attached. Looks promising but I was actually able to get mine back out despite a boatload of superglue and get to the oring inside again. It's noticeable smaller than the one i took out. Thinking my seal wasn't good enough but after watching the video and seeing there's not 2 orings he just out the one off the nipple into the hole at the end to show fitment. Thought I way have missed one. Definitely gonna try again with a better more tight fitting oring and also JB Weld that biatch this time. Lemme know how your turns out. Still can't believe this stupid "nipple" leak is only thing keeping me from riding SMH
@@erikadkins225 I ride regardless but it definitely would be nice to fix. I’m going to get the same kit and use the same o-ring the guy did. If not I might buy an eBay one and try to reuse the nipple since none of them come with it.
@@letsdoitourselves5322 I said the same thing but my friend said that it was probably just being pushed to a different spot from the force. Just replaced the gasket and still notice leaking but some of it came from the overflow valve so I’ll see in the morning
How did you convert your measurements? I have a different bike and I measured and my readings were a little different from yours, how do I pick the right size o ring?
This is the set I used www.harborfreight.com/382-piece-o-ring-assortment-67554.html I used gasket 110 in this set. Using the caliper I took a measurement of the inner diameter (ID), outer diameter (OD) and thickness of the old gasket. Because the gasket is worn it’s not exact but I rounded to nearest mm and converted into fraction of an inch on Google because I couldn’t find a gasket that would fit with mm dimensions. Then I looked everywhere online for either the right size or and assortment and above 👆 is what I found.
@@letsdoitourselves5322 cause i just notice it this morning i suppose to ride my r6 to work then i notice when i warmed it up it was leaking smells gas.. you think the oring can buy on autozone?
Just what i needed to see, thanks man

Is this the leak that only leaks when just running?
Opposite mine only leaked slowly when turned off but I could ride for over an hour and won’t smell anything

If it’s leaking while running I’d check the hoses
